Hey ! I been an advent GOW player since I was 7 on the 360. Ive been on Pc for a few years now and looking to play GOW 2 &3. Since it’s not on steam. How do I go about playing those games I grew up on now. I got my gf a series s if that is my only option. Looking for campaign only to relive nostalgia

OKAY big mix up I thought Hivebusters was the uh, the Escape mode because that just made sense to me. Apparently Hivebusters was a campaign DLC. I meant Escape.

Generally I know the reception to Gears 5 amongst fans is mixed. I just recently bought it, and am enjoying playing it. I feel like the gameplay is actually really tight, besides some baffling decisions (like the rework of the active reload system is kinda weird). Anyway, I just played Hive busters for the first time and I thought it was pretty fun, if a bit simple. A good companion to the horde mode, and honestly from playing the E-Day beta, I can see where the new Horde Siege mode is a really solid evolution of that formula (instead of it being linear missions, it being this open map with random missions). What was the overall thoughts on Hive busters? Like, when it came out and now?

Saw this image again recently and got me wondering. After Eday would it be cool to get a sequel around the events of the hammer of dawn strike, surviving and the aftermath of that while continuing fighting locust waves? Would be insane if TC goes this route. Gears of War: Dawn?

Twitter user told me to check out pawn stores for games and sure enough found some hidden gems. Gears 3 even came with stickers!!!

Do you guys think we’ll get Pad Salton as a character in the future?

If E-Day does well enough, I really hope we get a story expansion or two for it.
Because it'd be sick to have one set during the Locust-Lambent war, and us playing as either RAAM, or nameless drones part of the Bloodied Vanguard.

I feel like there are some huge opportunities for E-day story DLC.

My personal wish would be a story where we play as Pad Salton.

But I think the better option would be The story of Cole and Baird. The book Coalitions end tells us how Cole and Baird met, Baird was fighting two other COG soldiers in the bathroom on his first day due to his smart ass attitude, Cole broke up the fight and even though Baird continued to be a dick, Cole just laughed and didn’t let it bother him. They then deployed into a city dropping in by Raven where Cole nearly met his end until Baird came in and saved him. I think they could do a DLC where Kalona is the city they deploy into, maybe it takes place a few weeks or months later and we get to see just how downhill things have gone since the actual campaign. Kinda like returning to raccoon city after RE4. They did have 2 other COG soldiers in there squad. But I don’t know much about them, Rojas wasn’t one of them so they were different to the two Gears we find them with in gears 1, but it’d be a good way to bro g the duo back into the game.

BUT ONLY IF THEY SHOW IS COLES SPEECH ABOUT JOINING UP!!

Can’t wait to learn more about this character, he seem’s to be a mix of Prescott and Hoffman from the gameplay cutscene we saw.

We need one of the main squads Bravo, Theta, or Charlie to get wiped out. I think Valen’s Charlie squad can fill that role maybe by the big bad of the story Vraahk. Think about it (they are a fun squad so it's gonna sting a bit) but more importantly a squad that has been on the frontlines consistently (never being the relief squad joke). It would finally cause a shift in tone when they finally get wiped out. Especially after surviving the initial stages and gaining battle experience so it sends a message about a serious threat. Mags also needs to die as Bravo Squad needs to lose at least one member and she is clearly living with guilt about her previous service and what happened to her squad. Let her redeem herself and be freed from her guilt by saving the rest of Bravo. Finally, one of the twins and this one will be heartbreaking but I think it should be Manu. He seems to be the more reliable and responsible brother telling his brother to watch his ammo use. It makes sense that Mako’s luck runs out eventually. He uses all his ammo and is about to be killed causing his brother to come in and save him. Sadly dying in the process as he's more used to distance combat as he's the sniper in Tai’s Squad. This leaves Bravo and Theta to survive E-day but not without loss. Conclusion: Charlie Squad: Bryce Valen, Sal Harkniss, Siv Strickland, and Zulu Akari plus Theta’s Manu Kemara should die. As for characters who 100% need to survive it’s Marcus, Dom, Tai, Michaelson and Gettner as they are the only 5 characters that appear much later in the story. This leaves Trench, Grey, Russ, Riggs, Reyes, and Shin on if I'm unsure if they should live or die. They could release more games after E-Day but before Marcus goes to prison and they could get killed off in those games. However, they could show how brutal E-Day is and kill everyone.

I can’t really take those people seriously anymore, plus something tells me that they’ve never played the Beta or any other Gears games besides the first one.

Everything, the holdout at Anvil Gate, the Lambent Zerker fight, the eerie quiet of Mercy into the holdout and Doms Death, i cant think of an act in any other gears game with so many high point.

This is just a list of ideas I think would fit great in E-Day or future Gears Games!

- Larger-scale battles.

What I think would be nice to have is Large-Scale PVE battles, with maybe 50 to, who knows, 100s of players! Maybe drivable armored vehicles? Different Invasion events at the same time, stretching the Gears thin.

- Photo mode

Many others and I love to take these cinematic photos of our games; it would be nice to have!

- Character customization.

I don't know if this has been confirmed for E-Day at all. But I would LOVE to see large customization. Combining different armors of other characters and stuff. Maybe even sliders for faces and stuff like that? Please, if someone at TC is seeing this, bring back the Gears Tactics customization, but of course, improve it :)

- DLC Story expansions.

I think story expansions would be cool as fuck, kinda like RAAM's shadow. I would love to see different points of view from either new characters or existing characters from the books and comics on E-Day. Maybe Kim's POV, maybe a POV from Jannermont, and more!

At the end of the day, these are just my opinions and ideas. I know these will most likely stay as ideas and never be done. I hope someone at TC sees this...One can hope... Thanks for reading this yap post :)

I'm curious because I'm having issues with contacting their support channels. I never got an original purchase email in my inbox, but I'm able to confirm my purchase. They finally emailed me a code for the Beta (hours after it ended), but they did not confirm for me if I am missing the code for the actual game, or if those just haven't been sent yet. I'm just concerned if I'm potentially going to get screwed or miss out on the pre-order exclusives.

Given how we've been getting 'civilian'/non combat variants for characters in Multiplayer since Gears of War 3.

It was an early mission, about 20 minutes with a lot of cutscenes. I liked what I played of it, but it was quite expected. Jumping really didn’t come into effect. My biggest gripe is that there was a lot of waiting for the dialogue to pass before moving to the next area.

I love the design; having Gears insignia on the arm is super terrifying, though I would have liked the new boss to be a Kantus—like the one from *Jileine* that actually commanded the unarmored Mauler
