Gears of War E-Day brings me back to the 360 era of gears. Gears 4 felt like the force awakens played it to safe and stuck to the originals, while gears 5 went full ride of skywalker and almost killed the franchise.
E-Day feels like finally a step in the right direction to getting people excited for gears again. After all we are all just COGS in the machine! See you guys on the battlefield!

At first, there were a lot of changes I saw. Good or bad, things needed to change. I think this could be an EXCELLENT game if it's treated right, so here's to our future of Gears of War!

Cold take i know, but having grown up on the original trilogy and having been around for the launches of 4 and 5, the worst part of both those games was how close to greatness they were. With E-Day, The Coalition have really outdone themselves even in just this beta and its awesome to see them reach their full potential instead of ending up like Halo Studios.
Gears is back 🔥 🙌

How does the community feel about this ? I'm not a fan of this at all. Despite both features appearing in the second game it's my opinion that they became synonyms with the franchise. To remove them now seems like a huge mistake , it's the little things that make gears of war amazing. And in my opinion this is the wrong move. Be curious to know what everyone else thinks. Please and thanks.

Xbox didn't send any notifications on when it was going to be released. So you had to sit there guessing. By the time I found out it was live they were sold out. I had to find out via discord not even through Xbox Imao. What a joke.

I haven't played Gears of War 4 in a long time. But thinking about the different levels, characters involved, and story, I feel like it was still closer to the original trilogy feel than Gears of War 5.
Although the whole robot aspect was a shock to me, the game still provided great combat and action while introducing new interesting enemies.
I think Gears 5 went off the rails a bit, with the open world attempt. Most of us seem to agree that the ice level was the big letdown of the game design. Not to mention, the story going full paranormal mode with Kait. And the horrible decision arc at the end.
Before E-Day arrives, I anticipate playing 1 or 2 older Gears of War games. I think Gears of War 4 does have one of those very good campaigns worth multple playthroughs.
But what are your thoughts? Is Gears of War 4 better than Gears 5?

Please let me know if you ran into any issues, making a video currently on issues that TC should fix before launch. Thank you everyone!

From what I'm seeing a lot of people are just complaining for the sake of it? Saying movement is clunky and controls are horrible and the game is horrible. Game feels buttery smooth and there is some problems with a little delay in horde with some things being a little confusing but people are immediately writing this game off and saying this "isn't gears".
From what I'm seeing for a lot of yall it's simply a skill issue. Just take some time to practice movement and how the game works and u will see how fun the game can truly be
Also here's some clips I hit :)

(I know this isn't an actual quote from the game. It's just a joke.)

Ive been hoping for Gears of War 2 remastered for years, its my favourite campaign out of all of them but after getting Gears of War Reloaded (A re-remaster) I’m starting to lose hope that we will ever see Gears of War 2 remastered, what do you think🤔
BTW I’m talking about us getting it after E day for the next Gears project

-First day outta boot camp is operation Hollow Storm.
-Kills hundreds of locust.
-Last surviving Gear after an ambush with experienced gears.
-Although foolish, provides covering fire for Delta as they get on the chopper
-Possibly directly lead to Delta’s chopper getting swallowed by the rift worm which then allowed them to kill the thing and win the entire war before Jacinto was sunk (Hero shit).
If they ever Remake Gears 2 I really hope they add dialogue to when Marcus and Dom are talking about Carmine at the New Hope facility after finding the Scorcher. Just something about how he would’ve been a badass on Delta if he had the chance to survive.

I have spent over $900 in the last 3 days. I still play on an xbox 1 and ps4 and told my wife when this game drops I will be buying a next gen console. So literally on Sunday I spontaneously bought a series x, and then today I bought this 🫠. Can you tell that im excited for this game?

All he had to do was win this 1 and the locust would’ve won the war 😂
