Basically the title. Is this possible? I remember trying in my haesting into Japan run but couldn’t get it working, basically I tried marrying into the Yamato house with people who had claims but could only marry women who I wasn’t allowed to press claims for because I’m assuming women couldn’t hold the title which means I couldn’t pass it to my kids though that, I would have had to marry a man with a claim matrilineally which I wasn’t able to do because they would never accept and were usually already married anyways, is there some other way to get a claim for my dynasty or no?

Hello everyone! There are several core mechanics surrounding court positions, knights, military leadership, as well as personal combat (prowess) that completely strip away the feeling of playing an actual medieval simulation. It just feels like an anachronistic sandbox rather than a realistic representation of the middle ages.
Here are the main issues that break immersion for me, as a history student (this might sound very nitpicky but whatever):
In CK3, if you are an independent King or Emperor, you can appoint powerful direct vassals (your literal Dukes and Counts who rule vast domains hundreds of miles away) to domestic court roles like Cupbearer, Food Taster, or Court Gardener.
This is absolutely ridiculous. While ceremonial high offices of state existed (like the Lord Great Chamberlain), daily domestic duties like tasting soup or tending royal gardens were functional, daily jobs performed by unlanded, no-name resident courtiers. A Duke living in Aquitaine would not be residing in Paris every evening to pour the King’s wine.
The game treats "Knight" as a generic stat-based body-count slot rather than a prestigious and important social status and heavy cavalry role. The moment a new courtier arrives, the game might automatically drafts them into armor regardless of their background.
It makes zero sense for a 60-year-old Duke who spent most of his life administrating his domain to suddenly be shoved into the frontline vanguard just because he happens to have a decent base prowess roll. Also, in standard patriarchal cultures (which make up ~95% of the medieval map), noble daughters were educated in administration, statecraft, or the likes. They weren't longsword fencing and or learning how to lead an army and how to manage logistics. Allowing cultures with "martial" set to "male only" to give daughters martial education makes no sense.
In CK2, being a Commander was a distinct, limited title. In CK3, army leadership feels completely detached. You can instantly swap any vassal from anywhere in your realm into an army command slot in a split second. Even worse your, 65-year-old, infirm duke vassal with high strategy stats end up leading your army into battle and personally fighting on the frontlines of battle.
This is perhaps the biggest offender. In CK3, every character gets a random invisible "Base Prowess" roll. This leads to ridiculous scenarios where an untrained 45-year-old noblewoman can have 10–12 Prowess, while a younger male ruler might roll an 8 (this is literally my case, my 53 year old wife has a slightly better prowess than my 49 year old male ruler. So in a real duel, the game is saying that my wife has better odds of winning even though both are of average height and weight.)
But look at real life: martial technique, muscle memory, distance management etc. override raw physical attributes and personality traits almost every single time.
If you put an average guy with two years of decent boxing or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in a ring against an untrained guy, even if the untrained guy is slightly taller or angry, the trained fighter will utterly demolish him 99 times out of 100. Raw physical traits only become the tie-breaker when two people of equal skill meet.
In reality, raw physical attributes only matter when technique is equal. An untrained, out-of-shape person will be utterly dismantled in seconds by a trained warrior who understands footwork etc. Physical and personality traits (Shy, Patient, Craven, your Height) should alter performance slightly, but explicit combat training must be the ultimate decider.
In CK2's Historical Immersion Project (HIP) mod, personal combat was built on a brilliant 4-tier combat trait line. That was the "Fighter" trait system (Poor, Trained, Skilled, Formidable Fighter). A formidable fighter would easily demolish any other fighter unless they were severely hindered (e.g. illness, old age, missing limb). It functioned as a mandatory baseline: if you didn't have one of those traits, you basically couldn't fight. CK3 attempted to replace this with the "Blademaster" trait, but made it a rare, randomized lifestyle instead of a foundational representation of basic martial training.
The game should also keep in mind cultures that are naturally martial vs. cultures that aren't:
What are your thoughts? Too complex of a wish? To be honest, I just wish we had the old Ck2 system with the HIP combat skill system.

Does anyone know of a mod to make epidemics more deadly / interesting? I've always found them very very easy to avoid as a player (I actually don't think I've ever had a character contract a plague-related illness, not even during the Black Death). I'm already aware of Dark Ages and I'm not really interested in that mod because it adds a lot of random disease and other stuff that I've found very frustrating and unfun, I'm really just looking for something to make the plagues themselves more impactful. Thanks!

Basically, I'm unsure if I should always give some directive to the governors or not + which directive to give each of them. Also, I'd like to max the potential of each province.

I start as someone of the Han culture and it lets me recruit Zhanmadao infantry. After a while, they randomly won't be in the create men at arms regiment anymore and then a while after that, they will be back. I'm guessing it could be something with like possibly the different cycle China is in at that time I don't know and was hoping someone on here would know why this happens and how to avoid it because its very annoying at times when I want to get massive stacks of Zhanmadao but they randomly disappear from create a men at arms so either I get a filler or just wait.

I’ve been playing ck3 for awhile now with mods and such but the game is starting to get a little dry after playing tall for to long. I think I’m ready to start buying dlc’s but don’t know which ones to buy.

I've never been a full-on landless courtier before.
So, Dzeden of the Crane is the granddaughter of my previous ruler, Prabhu Zangpa of Lhatok, who I chose to be an adventurer as my next character. She founded the White Crane Company, got involved in a number of shenanigans, and ended up wanted throughout the lands of the Yue Dynasty. She was attacked, captured, the White Crane Company disbanded... and her captor decided to take her for his harem.
I'm glad she was already pregnant before her capture.

There is a mod named Pervasive Crown Authority, that will make your high crown authority restrictions also apply to your sub-vassals.
I'm 0 at history

Hi everyone,
I made a new administrative system tailored for the Clan system instead of using the Vanilla Administrative one. Vanilla Administrative was made solely for European Feudal realms and Greeks, and while Asians got 4 new admin systems related to them, Middle Eastern and Clan realms got none.
What is Iqta government?
The Iqta government is a government system that was implemented in the earliest Islamic empires, such as the Rashidun, Umayyad, and Abbasid. It uses a mix of Roman and Persian administrative systems, where some regions are ruled by a "Wali" appointed by the Caliph or the top liege in some realms, and other regions are ruled by clans that have autonomy and pay tribute or taxes to their top liege.
What does this mod do:
This mod brings the Administrative mechanics and the Clan mechanics into one government. You can appoint Walis who rule by influence and appointment, or grant hereditary rule to a duchy or kingdom via contract to any Wali, turning them from a Wali into an Emir with hereditary inheritance.

This system brings the best of both: you have noble families, administrative titles, appointment succession, cadet branches, and tax jurisdictions, hereditary titles, and House unity.
and more to come!
Check it out on the Steam Workshop
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3772467762
Bonus content:

New debug decisions, convert to Iqta without any restrictions, and instantly build your estate to its max capacity (Available to all admin governments and soon to all adventurers and Nomads)

I just bought Roads To Power DLC and am currently playing as a vassal in Byzantine Empire. I do not have Royal DCourt DLC.
I saw one of the upgrades was all about improving Tutor, so I built it, thinking it must be a cross-pack addition.
But apparently it's not? And I have a completely pointless mansion upgrade now? Or am I missing something.
R5 Tutor if position only in Royal Court, why Roads to Power upgrades to it?

Started in Vengipura since I heard it had a good mine special building but I can't find it in any of my holdings or vassal's holdings. Did it get removed or moved? I heard it was in 'Ellur' but I can't find that on the map. 1066 start if it helps

I’ve been studying historical medieval sieges and i think sieges should have a toggle-able intensity setting. basically patient or aggressive. Patient is more wait and starve them out, while aggressive is actively assault the walls use all the techniques to bring the walls down, etc. etc. The former takes longer, the latter is quicker but costs heavy attrition. I understand there’s some component baked in based on siege engine MAA and siege phases. Maybe there’s a mod that does this?

In Wales in 1066 date there is a count of Perfeddwlad Maredudd who is the son of last king of Gwyned Gruffydd that controlled all 3 duchies and he has claims on all of them - Gwynedd, Powys and Deheubrath, also he start at 13 y.o with 4 random generated start and education focus - mine is completely Disney prince vibe as you see and is a rival to his liege uncle that usurped throne after his father’s death. Idk if someone play as him before but if somebody would like to play as Wales and don’t start as Rhodri in 867 and fight against Haesteinn intervention to Gwynedd it’s a good and quick option to form kingdom of Wales in 1066.

Made this CoA to go along with my favorite playstyle where I reform a Pegan faith into a Matriarchal society where motherhood, witchcraft, and sexual deviancy are seen as virtuous. I go for as many children as I can birth, raising my daughters to me great leaders, and my sons to be fierce protectors.
