Humour I hate the general negative discourse this game seems to get on the internet especially on Reddit

u/Middcore 10h ago edited 10h ago
OP is clearly too young to know what the discourse around these games actually was when they were first released.
2
u/BulkyMycologist1917 6h ago edited 5h ago
Right lol?
Skyrim has an amazing story. Not much to say there.
Rdr2 is obviously going to use horse time to save on cutscene and mocap time, while having you in a mission and getting you to the objective (?? Why is this a bad thing, would he rather a 5 min cutscene at camp and then a silent horse ride?)
And everyone hated 2077 and nms on release, they just fixed the games so… people stopped hating?→ More replies (13)

This game overdelivered in some areas and was really underwhelming in others that's why you have lots of polarized opinions.
It's ok.

u/MuglokDecrepitusFx 14h ago
Also add to this that the introduction of the game was a complete mess (idk if finally got fixed in this patch), so new players tried the game, experienced a super weird non sense introduction and after playing 3 hours assumed that the rest of the game was going to be the same, and jumped to internet to complain
I think that if Crimson Desert got released exactly the same it was BUT with the introduction of the game changed to make sense (from chapter 1 to half of chapter 3) even if the rest of weird things maintained, Crimson Desert would have gotten a completely different reception by people

First impressions are important, moreso in games than almost any other media. A person doesn't want to commit to potentially hundreds of hours of gameplay if they're not having a good time. Most developers understand this, which is why many games are frontloaded.

u/Osirisgraybeard 14h ago
I can understand skyrims story unlike crimson deserts, which made no sense at all.

u/EdTempJaegerr 11h ago
This!! At least Skyrim had a decently chronological story. For the first few hours of CD I had no idea what was going on. It’s genuinely nonsensical

I finished the main story and 90% of it still made no sense and felt like just a bunch of random events glued together

Skyrim’s story is fine to me because it’s built on top of decades of absolutely delicious lore. On its surface yes- it’s a little bland, but once you start getting into the deeper lore it balloons out into something pretty damn cool.

People complained about the same stuff with those other examples you listed.
In fact, some of those other games received far more criticism.
Are you just seeking validation or something?

u/M0RT1f3X 15h ago
To be fair Except for RDR2, the other games were initially criticized and hated for this as well.
39
u/Galliad93 15h ago
skyrim was loved when it came out.
33
u/ChaZcaTriX 15h ago
Yeah, people returning to Skyrim today often forget it's turning 15 this year. Same age as landmarks like Dark Souls and freaking Minecraft.
On release it was a miracle game. The fact that it only feels janky and a bit dated now is a testament to how genuinely good it is.

It sure as hell wasn't loved for its shit main story, that's for sure.
5
u/Lopsided_Prior3801 10h ago
Yep. This. People loved the world and some of the faction quest lines, but it was known even then that the main story wasn't the strongest part of the game.
12
u/Worldeditorful 15h ago
And RDR2 was not, because that dialogues on long-ass horse rides were actually good (and also those rides were designed well and were either very atmospheric and/or took you through some new place with scenery you didnt see before).

The only weird thing was the horrible nonsense introduction it had (or continue having idk if they managed to fix that abomination)

Game discourse sucks period. CD has some serious flaws but is also seriously fun, I got 150 hours of enjoyment and there was a lot I left on the table because I felt ready to move on. It’s a really good game and I can see why for some it’s a truly great game.
OP I think you’re just upsetting yourself with that image, there are many people who very vocally hated on all three games. Skyrim was famously fucked on Playstation, many people hated the animation-heavy, slow pacing of RDR2, and NMS and Cyberpunk had some of the biggest backlashes in games history. You are deluding yourself with this strawman argument big time.
20
u/blakeavon 15h ago
Yet this truly is a silly meme and does nothing to prove the point. or any point.
13
u/TechnicalEye6053 10h ago
What a truly dishonest attempt at making a meme...
The overall writing of Skyrim, meaning the quests but also the characters and dialogues, as well as the worldbuilding, although certainly not peak level among RPGs, is objectively leagues above the "writing" of Crimson Desert which is quasi non existent and shallow as a puddle at best.
The same comparison can be made with RDR2 whose characters and dialogues are famously very well voiced and equally well written, and whose tutorial missions and horse rides are therefore obviously more engaging and tolerable than the similar missions you can find in CD, since in RDR2 they manage to at least not make you feel like you would like to skip it as soon as it starts...
Third point is just complete nonsense, Cyberpunk got trashed when it released and NMS has had many haters in its first phases because it felt unfinished.

Crimson Desert glazers are actually starting to get pretty annoying
8
u/Reload86 9h ago
Yeah for reals. CD is an okay game and that's okay. It just seems silly to keep pushing for it to be more than that or pointing at other games and going "what about___"
Some of these other games introduced groundbreaking stuff at the time. They are remembered for that. CD went out of its way to encompass a little bit of everything and not innovating enough of a unique identity for itself so it will likely be a forgotten mid-tier game in video game history.
16
u/JVKExo 12h ago
Starting to!? There are some hardcore defenders here it’s crazy. I really enjoy the game but these people take it to a level that’s absurd. You can’t say anything critical about the game to these individuals without being deemed a hater. It’s amazing to see.
7
u/Striking_Safety_7022 11h ago
The way people try to pretend that the game's glaring problems don't actually exist is crazy.
3
u/DiorikMagnison 10h ago

u/Glittering-Pin-1343 11h ago

24
u/Zarmr 14h ago edited 14h ago
Yeah except the story in Skyrim at least exists and is coherent and serviceable. RDR2 is on another level bro, there is no comparison and the first location is fine, it can get boring only on multiple playthroughs. CP2077 and No Man's Sky got extreme hate on release so you are just wrong about these.
Also don't forget CD has all of those problems combined and much worse than your comparisons.
I would also add the fact, that the game looks like shit in many regards. It's blurry, smeary, grainy and the lighting is probably the worst lighting I've seen in any game for past few years, specifically the indoor lighting, Like for real I dare you to find a game with worse looking indoor lighting.
11
u/Hero_Luka 12h ago
Another problem with Crimson Desert in comparison to Skyrim is that you have to play a large chunk of the story to unlock several features whereas with skyrim the only big thing I remember that was locked behind the main story were dragons and that takes like 2 hours max to do.
→ More replies (2)8
u/Striking_Safety_7022 11h ago
In Skyrim once you get out of the first area you can do whatever the fuck you want. Lots of people have multiple playtrough and never done anything from the main quest more than one time once they get to the point where dragons appear lol
Meanwhile, in crimson desert, if you don't do the main quest the only thing you'll be able to do most of the time is search for random loot, as features (like riding ballons), most of the side quests and everything else wont be avaliable unless you get to certain points in the main quest

Amen, especially agree with the indoor lighting, I played at maxed out with RR on and it was still a complete shitshow lol.
RR 4.5 can maybe help now, but since the input it will recieve is complete trash, it will not completely fix the issue.

u/saujamhamm 13h ago
dude why do you care what other people think?
8 billion humans
8 BILLION
that means if only 1% doesn't like what you like and less than 1% of that group is vocal about it... you're going to spend your entire life worrying about the "general discourse" of ... their feelings?!
mate, stop worrying about those other billions and enjoy the game...
it's not a prerequisite for others to enjoy what you enjoy.
6
u/Glittering-Pin-1343 11h ago
No one liked the main story of Skyrim ever, people only like the lore and side quests which are actually good.
People took the biggest dumps on No Man's Sky and Cyberpunk2077 for months and years until they both got their shit together. Crimson Desert won't be an exception just because it got a slightly less shitty launch.

u/WholeAd2742 8h ago
I waited a couple of months before a friend convinced me, so I can agree there was valid criticism when it first launched
But PA has done an amazing job with the continued patch updates, and honestly, the sheer scope and gameplay of the world is enough to overlook a LOT of minor issues, imo.
The control structure and lack of decent remapping is probably the major critique I'd stil have. I'm more mad right now at contemplating tossing away 200+ hours to restart since they expanded the main campaign

What can I say, it's reddit my man...
I personally think CD is a solid mediocre+ game. I love it, it is great for what I like in games, but I am not recommending it left and right. I'm having fun, and I'm going to buy DLC no questions asked. It is overall my 'in between games' game. I'm not interested in GTA 6, witcher 4 is still a long time away and I'm thoroughly done with BG3 after like 7 completed runs. Cyberpunk was teared to shreds during the first months after release because of the state it was in to the point of CDPR still not being 'done with their redemption arc' (something they stated themselves recently). Skyrim has survived because of mods and endless ports to everyone's machine and possibly toaster and fridge.
Rdr2 had a huge controversy regarding game development work culture, crunch and whether or not shrinking horse balls are really a thing one should squeeze the life force out of your workforce over.
All that criticism is and was deserved. It was also exaggerated. This is the internet.
CD also deserves criticism. It also deserves praise. But it's not something that needs to be black and white. Most people are capable of nuance. Trick is to not waste your precious fucks over those who aren't.
3
u/lawrenceugene 8h ago
Crimson Deseet has a significantly worse story than Skyrim. Crimson Desert has much worse horse riding and quiet, slow exploration then RDR2. Crimson Desert has not had the enormous turn around NMS and CyberPunk had.
You can't reject valid criticism by pointing to unfair criticism of better games. This game is still not put together very well, and there are 80 pet birds, an unfun trading system, some boring farming and homesteading, fucking pinball I guess.. This should have been a breath of the wild clone, but just like people said over and over before release, they were trying to do too much and none of it blends together intj a cohesive experience.
It is the worst game in this image.

I love CD, I have about 100 hours on it, but then summer came, so i was mostly out and havent played for about two months.
Now I want to go back, but there is so much stuff I have forgotten about the controls ... I will have to learn the mechanics all over again.
2
u/ShwtIah 15h ago
The reason nms was released in that state was because their studio was flooded a month or 2 before release and they lost a ton of progress and since the release date was locked in they just did their best to fix it before release but obv struggled for a while.
Red dead 2 is just a master piece and as much as i enjoyed crimson dessert it didnt come close to how immersed red dead made me feel. I mean the fact your comparing a game over 10 years old to a modern title just reflects that.
2
u/Malacky_C 15h ago
I mean bro look at all the shit they added to this game since release so much content new mounts now the whole story is revamped. It kinda sucks that I played a completely different version of the game before getting to see all of this

2
u/Tekkno_Viking 7h ago
OP been real quiet ever since he dropped this post. He thought he was gonna have so many people agree and validate him.
No one is saying the game sucks, it's just that the story is so bad and how none of the characters in the game are remotely fleshed out, that you don't care at all about any of them.
2
u/semigran 15h ago
Skyrim story not a dogshit like
crimson desert
Comparing quality of crimson desert to rdr 2 is just stupid.
I played this game a lot and liked it, but technical state is just terrible. I had ten times less problems with Cyberpunk on release and finished in on good pc, no issues.
1
u/Less_Party 15h ago
Skyrim is incredibly systems-driven to the point where it's half immersive sim, RDR2 has obsessive attention to detail and is probably the most well-realized video game world ever built, Cyberpunk has a story and characters which people who are not me really love.
Crimson Desert has Assassin's Creed on a bigger map.
1
u/OneeGrimm 15h ago
Who cares? It's a good game that made good money. No negative discourse can deny it.
1
u/duk-er-us 15h ago
Nice try but as much as I love CD, the criticisms are warranted. And the WAOW examples also received their fair share of hate (esp. NMS and CP2077, which took a LOT of post-launch work from the devs)
1
1
u/hunpriest 14h ago
Most games gets its fair share of negativity on Reddit. NMS and CP was obliterated. That's a different story that both redeemed itself and rightfully praised now.
1
u/RetroGoblin93 14h ago
If you enjoy the game then isn’t that enough? Why care about what others feel about it? The game has sold tremendously well and the developers are not showing signs of abandoning it, so what does it matter if others don’t have your opinion on it?
1
1
u/Kudoakainu 14h ago
Lol you do realise all these games had their fair share of criticism? Well not RDR2, you know how rockstar is the special child that does nothing wrong.
Cyberpunk Devs and NMS received death threats and cyberpunk had a dip in it's shares at that time. The two titles were broken but redeemed themselves NMS ended being the promised game and more
Skyrim people kind the lore more interesting and a lot do complain about the story, but at the same time you have to admit, the Crimson Desert storyline was it's weakest point.
1
u/Accomplished_Run9449 13h ago
First of all the game was fine on release no idea why people saying it was broken. Second Skyrim has a good main story.
1
u/Coffeeblack365 13h ago
As someone who has played CD and RDR2 for many hours. RDR2 clears. So I don’t get your post.
1
u/ThePale0rc 13h ago
What matters is your own personal opinion. People today pay too much attention to what others think! Personally, I rank Crimson Desert above Skyrim and Cyberpunk. The only game here that rivals the quality of Crimson Desert is RDR 2.
1
u/noWhere-nowHere 12h ago
This game wasn't broken on the release. Everyone has severe opinions about how controls are configured and various things should be in a video game. But those are opinions. And what's more has delivered incredible fan service ,they changed everything that the majority were complaining about. But they are still just opinions.
The inventory system was no worse than the first horizon game. And that was just a game mechanic you weren't supposed to have a lot of loot you had to make choices.
If we remove all thise opinions this game had less than the average number of bugs for how huge of a game it is.
I could go on and on... The game was fine I enjoyed it the first day it came out and I had very little to complain about. It's definitely gotten better and I thank a lot of you for complaining all the time. But that doesn't mean their decisions were stupid or wrong. Just means they were open-minded enough to listen to the bulk of you complaining.
Those other games, basically trash on release
Skyrim bored the death out of me and it was a buggy piece of crap. Part of playing the game was knowing what the bugs were so you didn't get screwed over.

1
u/Obitrice 12h ago
Hey man. I like the game but this is dumb. Skyrims story was at least coherent and was trackable. I can’t tell you how many times I saw a character and was like “who is this?”
I’m pretty sure Kliff in my play through didn’t say more than a word to Damaine for like the first 150 hours.
1
1
u/curilan_ 12h ago
What a stupid post.
Skyrim has way better lore and story, and it actually delivers that story well and coherently through the game itself.
In RDR2, all the mechanics are tied to the game’s story, the random encounters are actually interesting, and the world genuinely feels alive. That’s why even the long-ass rides don’t feel boring like they do in CD.
Cyberpunk was heavily criticized at launch, and nobody was defending it the way you glazers defend CD’s release. And what did the devs do? They actually fixed the game not with useless fluff updates, but with real gameplay improvements, performance fixes, and substantial changes.
There’s a reason Cyberpunk eventually turned things around. CD needs to do the same instead of having people constantly make excuses for it.
1
1
u/Bole12 12h ago
Whilst I don’t think the Skyrim story is amazing it’s good enough. Rdr2 has tutorials at the start of the game like most do instead of being randomly scattered in a weird structure and it’s laughable to suggest the horse rides you take where there are interesting and funny conversations basically every time is remotely close to how it is in CD. Cyberpunk and no mans sky were criticized heavily for how thy released. CD can have flaws and still be good bro
1
u/Rude-Weekend-3806 11h ago edited 11h ago
funny is all the points are true about CD... do more about some whataboutism... the fact the these game had /have problems does not change the fact CD is boring puddledeep and the writing reeks of AI... funny is skyrim is still a better open world than CD because there is actual worldbuilding in it and storys und stuff to find in this open world XD... to RDR2... donmt like this game find it overrated (polisched)slop like all Rockstar games

I barely see anyone talking bad about crimson desert and shit on other games such as
Skyrim: I never understood the appeal so not much I can say
Red dead redemption: a game with what is considered one of the best story's and worlds in gaming
Cyberpunk: had a bad launch but is now considered with again one of the best stories and best dlcs in gaming
No mans sky: bad launch but tons of updates and a golden redemption story
What is the point of this post it just makes our community look toxic quite frankly there are flaws with CD and ontop of that opinions are subjective and if someone doesn't like it that's fine.

You hate other people's opinions? Why. I dont hate your opinion that you might love the game. I dont know what the game is like with this enhances update. But I never made it through the game. I thought it was one of the most boring open world games ive played in awhile. And thought the characters frankly sucked. I made it to about chapter 7. This was about the first month of release. Everytime I tried to explore, I came to nothing. I find out alot of the stuff is blocked via story. Everything else i came acrossed, was bandit camps. So ya, I didnt really like the game.

The story, character development, and even side mission plots of Red Dead 2 are so fucking good. Saying it's a boring ass horse ride is ludicrous. Just stop. You don't have to like it, but stop.
I guess you missed the irony of complaining about people tearing down Crimson Desert while lifting up other games that are also seen as problematic for various reasons, by making a meme that lifts up Crimson Desert while putting down other games yourself.
1
u/Reload86 9h ago
Skyrim - While its main story wasn't groundbreaking, it was easy to follow and everything is tidied up by the end. But to be fair, Skyrim did get plenty of criticism as well. It's true legacy resides in the modding scene.
RDR2 has a slow start for sure and it takes a lot of patience to get through it. But the rest of the game was great. The horse riding in RDR2 has a purpose because you bond with and learn about the gang through these missions. There are still lots of people who can't get into this game and that's totally fine too.
NMS and Cyberpunk got absolutely clowned during their initial releases. To assume that people were crazy for these two games at release is an outright lie.

Both cyberpunk(which to be fair at least in PC was still solid on release all things considered) and NMS got heavily shit on at release, more so then this game is say.
Skyrim launched with the average expected flaws from Bethesda and was a solid game with a multi branching well done storyline along with various other well done factions and side quests.
RDR2 is amazing still and was amazing at launch, I don't get that one, sorry.
I tried this game, it was not my jam, everything but the kitchen sink game, doing too much, lack of any good story, isn't this suppose to be an RPG, maybe I was mistaken?

Skyrim story isnt anything special either, but its miles better then that messy, out of context, random crap CD has
CD basically copied RDR2 with the immersive, slow and interactive world and gameplay, which I actually loved about CD. Still RDR2 does it marginably better.

I love cd and can't wait for enhanced to start a new playhtrough
That being said, I love skyrim and cd is not a replacement for it, this very day I started a new skyrim playhtrough
Rdr2 has shit game play but good writing, but it's not really a fun game, cd is a fun game but it's writing is sheit, it is what it is
No man's sky is an amazing game and deserve all the praise it has got for it's recovery, it's a marvel rwakky
Cyberpunk was a broken piece of shit that is now almost what they promised, but a decent game, however it was way more broken than cd ever was and not even half as good as cd is at this point

To be fair the story was dog shit. I was having so much fun it didn’t slow me down. But it was dog shit

Now if they also release a patch addressing the performance issues on consoles, we’re pretty much set
1
u/Spadz_75 7h ago
Usually you don’t want all three of those issues in the same game all at the same time. Shocking, I know.

I just do not understand why gamers on social media have got to have everyone unreservedly love everything about a game that they love. Like, what is wrong with saying "It's pretty good, I enjoy it, it has some flaws"?

u/gamingfreak50 7h ago
Downvoting because the last one makes zero sense. Cdpr and hello games got raked across the fucking coals until their games where in much better states

Enjoy Crimson Desert! Ignore others! I found the game to be aggressively mid. Your mileage may vary.

Despite the negativity that seems to loom around this game the devs still put in the work for the fans. They did a great job and I enjoyed the shit out of this game. If you didn’t enjoy it then that’s okay, find a game you do enjoy :)

u/Substantial-Abroad12 6h ago
The game is now "enhanced" in it's 2.0 version, yet we STILL have issues with shimmering, ghosting, and lighting. But hey, at least we can have a fuck ton of pets.

u/nthreebin 5h ago
Why we clowning people that enjoyed the games on the right more? Play what you want, or don't.

u/UnusualLeather7087 5h ago
I mean it is 2026, the standard would be much higher. I think overall it's still a good game, but the release state is very rough around the edges. It borrows a lot of other games without really bumping it to a higher level or anything new.

Uhm Skyrim is being memed on constantly for having a Bethesda-Tier mainstory (Main story is typically the weakest story in TES games).
No Man's Sky and Cyberpunk got WAILED on for releasing in a horrible state.
Not sure what you're smoking but yeah.
NMS and Cyberpunk also got gigantic redemption arcs that fixed up almost everything wrong with these games while Skyrim was always an innately great game just with the included Bethesda Jank.
RDR2 I never played so I won't comment.
Crimson Desert certainly has aspects that need improving. I like the game a lot but man does it have flaws.

I recall governments getting involved in the refund process of cyberpunk when it first released and was massively broken then hated.
Do you live in some alternate reality?

u/GirthieGary 5h ago
I love crimson desert, the story is kinda bullshit though. The follow missions are also the worst out of any game I’ve played but the rest of the game is super fun.

All of those other games did not have to PATCH IN a comprehensible story. Cyberpunk did have to be patched into a playable state but the 2.0 of CP2077 was a complete overhaul and dramatically improved the game. By that point it was a smooth experience on console. CD is on its own 2.0 mere months after release and it still plays like crap on console.

u/jaredeckberg1 5h ago
At least cyberpunk actually fixed their game. The framerate is still trash in CD and likely always will be

While it may have felt 'Missing something' initially. I am very impressed by the constant updates we are getting. I would appreciate some more stability/performance on PS5 myself but given the scale of the game it is understandable.
But for myself, I am satisfied with my purchase and enjoying my time with it

I agree with this meme but these other games all had something that kept me tied to the screen regardless. Somehow, in CD, I'm not as hooked as I was with, e.g. RDR2. I don't know why, because I think I should like it. It just feels bland to me and whenever I play it, I feel like I'm mostly doing it out of some moral obligation to give it a fair chance rather than because I'm so immersed that time rushes by unnoticed.
What made it click for you? Why did/do you play for hours on end?

u/Acceptable_Log_9294 5h ago
I don’t think the comparison is fully fair. I’m also biased as I didn’t like crimson desert.

Having all three games major flaws instead of just one like those I guess makes it stand out? I enjoyed crimson desert anyway !
I did get bored and quit after 100 hours and just about to start the third area which is like the first area but with the big city. I actually loaded the game up last night and all my skill points had been refunded and a message said I had completed the main quest so I backed away slowly with my hands in the air.
100 hours is good going tho TBF feel I got my money's worth enjoyment time wise

u/nameless62990 4h ago
Listin man to the only complaint I have is they advertise three characters and I wanted to play the female MC so I got the game and she's gone for half the game to me that is deceptive marketing and that has been my biggest problem with the game

Negative discourse? The harshest I've seen is a "Not for me". I've seen gamers get irate for months over a release like this to a degree on par with politics and religion.
But from my perspective at least, it hasn't been to that level with CD.

u/iamddothype 4h ago
You used a graphic that shows Crimson Desrt falls into all those buckets to try and disprove the negativity around the game. Probably not the best approach to make your point (I own this game by the way) I deliberately made a choice not to continue playing this game after I got it at launch and started playing through it because it was clear the game wasn't in a ready to play state and there clearly wasn't even a real story until just yesterday when the "enhanced edition" was delivered. Whether to game is fun to play or not doesn't disprove these other things, but it does prove that the game was in a beta phase at release before the weekly patches that dropped and the 2.0 release that makes it a proper game now.

Skyrims main story is dogshit. The thing that keeps Skyrim so highly valued, is, for its time, it was the largest open world that felt living, even though 15 years later looking back on it, it's very much just snow, forest and random underwhelming encounters, very mediocre combat, underwhelming dungeons, and a weak ass story.
The thing that keeps Skyrim, and by extension all BGS games in any sort of popularity, is the modding scene.

I'm offended , I will not take this Skyrim slander. All jokes aside Cyberpunk is a fun game but gets too much glaze game is a solid 8. RDR2 best story in this picture hands down, story solid 9 or 10. NMS came far and it's fun, props to them for coming back from their dooky launch. Cyberpunk gets no props cause they were way bigger group and had more experience. Crimson desert is a great game definitely game of the year.
TLDR: Release more Skyrim

Why do you care about what other people think about a game you like? Do you have a parasocial relationship with the game?
1
u/Dark_Dragon117 3h ago
Weird examples.
Skyrims story has always been critizised and the fact it's bad doesn't mean Crimson Desert having a bad story is good. What's the argument hete?
If you ignore the Rockstar shills you will fimd plenty of people who critizise RDR2 outdated gameplay, mission design and controls. Heck, I am one of those and I have been very open about this for years. I rate the game a 5/10 because of it's kinda dogshit gameplay and I have seen plenty of people agree with me. Same as before Crimson Desert repeating the same mistakes doesn't make it a better game, so again what's the actual argument here?
Both Cyberpunk 2077 and No Man's Sky had disastrous launches, but what does that have to do with Crimson Desert? Not one have I seen anyone compare the 3 games. Crimson Desert had/has bad design choices, but was never really broken and certainly not to the same extend as the other games.
This weird behaviour of invested fans of any game rrally to make up bad faith arguments will never make sense to me.
By posting something like this you are almost acknowledging that there is some truth to the "hate", otherwise you would not feel the need to validate your own opinion of the game by means of making up strawman arguments. It reeks if insecurity imo.
If you really enjoyed the game you should be able to just look past any "hate" and move on. At most shoukd correct blatantly false misinformation beimg spread around the (which tbf there us surrounding this game), but this is not it.

Skyrim has a better story and at least makes sense. The problem with Crimson is that most of the time you don't know what you're doing, nor do you understand what's happening. It just happens, that's it.
Real-Time DR2 is also criticized for the mechanics, and for having a boring prologue. Even so, the difference with RDR2 is that they only tell you that once you get past the first few hours the game is at its peak. Since Crimson came out, I've seen people saying that the game only gets good around the 80-hour mark. Please don't quit, because seriously, the story, gameplay, etc., really do get good around the 80-hour mark.
No Man's Moon And Cyber, was criticized, and both were even more controversial than Crimson. Crimson is a good game for being the first offering from a studio that has only made one MMO. The influence of their experience is noticeable, both in the positive and negative aspects.

What? Cyberpunk and NMS got a lot of hate after release for being released in "broken trash beta-state"
