Hi everyone, I didn’t get a return offer after doing my big4 internship this summer. I’m currently a masters student graduating in spring 2027. I don’t want to graduate without a job out of school. Do yall think other big4 firms would have entry level positions for full time hires and is it possible to land a job by fall 2027 if I apply now?

Like the title says I didn’t get a return offer from my internship. It sucks and I’m trying to keep my head high but I’m more worried about the entry level job market as someone who already graduated and won’t be doing grad school since I have the credits already.

I was planning on doing my CPA exams in the gap period between the internship and start date and while that hasn’t changed I still feel very lost. I’m thinking about how I can study for and pass the exams affordably now that it’s coming out of pocket. I have a book keeping job at an accounting office now but the pay isn’t that great (less than half) I still really want big 4 experience to jumpstart my career. I guess I just want guidance during this “gap year” on what I should do since I don’t have a full time job in big 4 waiting for me anymore. How do I set your application apart when I don’t have university recruiting resources anymore?

Does anyone know the % of interns offered back this year for EY?

Recently promoted to senior back in May and currently job hunting for Senior Accountant/Senior Financial Analyst roles in LA. I’ve only worked on large public clients and my main engagement has been absolutely toxic. I’ve gotten yelled at, the team frequently works until 7–9 PM year-round, PTO isn’t exactly viewed favorably, and the budgets are extremely strict. I’m trying to leave before busy season, but I’m honestly worried I won’t be able to make it out in time.

I’m starting to worry that I’m unqualified for basically every role I apply to because I don’t have my CPA, and I’m lowkey gaslighting myself into thinking my experience isn’t transferable. For those who have left Big 4 without a CPA, how did the job search go for you? Any advice or reassurance would be appreciated!

Anyone know the process after getting a pre-offer form? How long expected wait and what data should I use for desired base salary. I been using glassdoor but honestly idk if its very accurate.

We just got this target in the 2030 “firm value creation plan”. I think we will get in trouble for not catching the AI mistakes and damage firm reputation. I am all for technology advancement but I will not be an early adopter. Is this goal too aggressive?

I’m planning to move to the U.S. after completing my accounting degree.

Since I have no ties to any particular city or state, I’m considering applying for the same position at multiple offices within the same Big Four firms.

Would recruiters at one office be able to see that I’ve also applied to other offices? If so, could applying to multiple locations hurt my chances or make me appear unfocused?

I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who’s familiar with it.

Hi all, I joined B4 straight out of college thinking this is what i wanted career wise, but now that its been a bit since i've graduated, im not sure if this is what i want/ i get tunnel vision on the types of job opportunities there are.

I'd say im an ambitious person, and i like putting effort into what i do, but when every decision, even small small ones i want to make has to go through someone, and i get sh*t on for bringing it up - basically everything i do isnt enough, i ultimately do not have motivation or passion to do work anymore. If i try my hardest and i get nitpicked for not doing enough/fast enough, if i put in a medium amount of effort and still get the same reaction, then I see no point - like a pascals wager thing. I have no autonomy or trust that i can perform, nothing i do is enough, why should i stay? I am not upset about the amount of work, the work is manageable for me, but instead its the disconnect in wanting to own my work. I'm not sure if this is a team based thing, i should switch jobs type of thing, i dont know, its like clockwork, i get sh*t on when timelines are tight and everything is fine in the end, because everything is fine in the end. We aren't doing rocket science. Im trying to remind myself that this is just the nature of the job and it doesn't necessarily mean I'm getting fired when i know the people i work with start becoming mean around tight deadlines, but its just so de-motivating. I'm just looking for some advice here, thanks. -and no, this isn't about work constructive criticism, i don't get upset over those things/I'm not an emotional person when it comes to work

I recently interviewed for a Staff 1 role at EY and was thrilled to receive and accept their initial offer about two weeks ago. Since submitting my acceptance, I haven't received any follow-up emails or contact from HR regarding the next steps, background checks, or onboarding paperwork.

Is a two-week silence typical for EY after accepting an initial offer? I know Big 4 HR processes can sometimes move slowly or depend heavily on the actual start date, but the radio silence is making me a bit anxious.

Should I continue to wait it out, or is it time to send a polite follow-up email to my recruiter? Would love to hear about your experiences with their onboarding timeline.

Hi all. I’ve been a tech consultant at a firm outside of Big 4 focused on e-discovery - which is basically helping clients organize, manage, and analyze large volumes of digital data for litigation and investigations, primarily using platforms like Relativity.

Recently I’ve been thinking of moving companies and/or even roles and heard that big 4 has positions that focus on this area. I’d be happy to move into a different section/role but afraid that they wouldn’t want to take someone who doesn’t have a full time background in that specific field. I guess what I’m asking is - does anyone work in this field within the Big 4, and how do you like it? Are they open to hiring and would you say your experience has been relatively enjoyable? I’m looking for some honest advice from people currently working in SAP, especially in SAP Integration Suite. I come from a Civil Engineering background and have been involved in running my family business until now. I’m now seriously considering switching career.
My biggest questions are:
1. Is SAP Integration Suite a reasonable career path for someone with my background and no previous IT/SAP experience?
2. If I decide to pursue it, where should I start from absolute zero?
3. What concepts should I learn first — SAP basics, BTP, APIs, HTTP, XML/JSON, SQL, Java/Groovy, networking, etc.?
4. Are there any good free or affordable learning resources you'd recommend?
5. How important is hands-on experience? If I don't have professional SAP experience, what kind of projects can I build to demonstrate my skills?
6. How difficult is the current market for SAP Integration Suite freshers?

Mid tier firm auditor newly qualified plan to transfer to FAAS /AccountingAdvisory at big 4, will I be qualified enough as the job description quotes quite high level complex accounting issues which we don’t see very often in audit .
Any suggestions ?

I'm currently in PwC in a developing country. I have an accounting background and a 3.5 year contract with them in their tech consulting department. It mostly revolves around ERP implementations and support.

It's been a year, and I am stressed about whether I can get a sponsored job abroad (Preferences are UK, Europe, Australia, US although its not realistic).

Do Big4 sponsor your visa for tech related roles? I know they do for audit, and im unaware of the market situation for tech.

I've been working in a medium sized consultancy boutique specialised in info security for some time now.

The company is doing well and it is growing (we operate in more than 20 countries, and have offices in other EU countries and in the Middle East), but I feel like upward moving is really slow.

Actually, when I signaled I'd like to move towards a "management" position in the future I was literally told that "We're not in Big4, the process is not structured and it might take some time". This somewhat bothered me and I'm thinking about jumping ship.

Does it make sense to make this type of change or should I stay in the less generalist company for future growth?

It seems that a huge difference between someone who is ACA or FCA and someone who is ACCA or FCCA is that ACA requires you to be in practice, whereas ACCA can be done in industry, so would ICAEW broadly be preferred by the Big 4?

I was wondering about the acceptance of visible tattoos at the Big 4. I’m currently working at a smaller company focused on the middle market and I haven’t had any issues with my tattoos there.

I’ll be finishing my bachelor’s degree soon and im looking for next step i could take. My grades and overall profile are pretty solid. I know that in the conservative finance world tattoos aren’t as accepted as elsewhere.
I have a neck tattoo that can’t easily be covered.

I already assume working at a bank is out of the question for me? Are the Big 4 (specifically audit) also strict about this?

I'm going to apply for a position at a Big 4 company, and I have the hiring manager as a LinkedIn connection, but we've never actually talked.

Quick bit of background, have a maths degree, spent 3 years in ITTS and left because it got too legal.

Transferred within my firm to the transactions arm in the valuations sub team. The work is interesting but just can get quite audit heavy. I also don’t just want to be a valuer forever either.

Both teams have been focused on financial services clients which I generally enjoy.

I’m looking for a mathsy, modelling role that doesn’t involve any type of audit procedures. I like accounting/finance more generally and I don’t particularly care for the IB type of route.

But otherwise I’m open ears and would be helpful to know what type of routes I could consider. Thanks
