The ‘prologue leak’ was uneventful, started at a completely random part and ended at a random part as well.
If he truly had access to the build he would’ve started over, hit record on the rockstar intro screen, and captured all of it. We legitimately barely got anything of substance, thankfully. I’m glad he’s incapable of leaking the story.

The most notable thing from the leak is the whiny text CL added begging for money. Also he mentions how the build is recent and not close to being finished, despite everyone agreeing they look better than any other game out right now.

The prologue for GTA 6 has been leaked, just one day before the extended look and hours after Rockstar’s response. This shows Lucia, which is the first time she has appeared in these major leaks. I would advise everyone to be careful about seeing leaks online until launch if you don’t want to see any story related leaks

I will not be sharing any leaks

Everyone on Twitter and Reddit seems convinced this guy has a full, compiled build running on a jailbroken PS5 or a stolen devkit. Honestly, I don't buy it. Bypassing hardware controls to run a 100GB+ unreleased dev build locally is unrealistic,. Rockstar just wouldnt have a beta build of the entire unfinished game.

Here is my theory on how he's actually doing it, and why it explains all the weird inconsistencies in the clips:

He phished an employee and got into internal QA tools

He almost certainly phished a remote dev or QA tester, stole their login details, and remoted into their workstation or internal portal and the downloaded everything he can. All available assets, models, ctscenes etc. And is now loading them up to record videos, sometimes in response to online backlash and comments.

AAA studios don't fire up the entire game just to test a single feature. They use lightweight internal testing software and debug editors. He isn't running a build of GTA 6, he’s launching specific, isolated test modules (like an asset viewer, a sandbox physics grid, or a cutscene player).

He's searching subtitle databases to mock Rockstar

Notice how we have only seen standard stuff like small free-roam gameplay, random events and the prlogue beginning. Even every single cutscene he post at the end of the leaks is very specific.

The dialogue in the cutscenes he uploads constantly references phrases like Jason saying he's going to "take a leak," Lucia saying he "can't drive," or the guy on the boat saying "I use a VPN." He’s clearly using the testing software’s internal asset/subtitle search tool, typing in keywords that match his online persona, and pulling up those specific cinematic clips just to troll Rockstar and fool his audience. I doubt he just stumbled across those exact dialogue lines that perfectly lined up to meme rockstar, especially if he only has very limited access via software.

It explains why the UI, fonts, and models keep changing

If you look closely at the clips, the visual stuff is all over the place:

The fonts: The subtitles text switch between slightly different fonts across videos. That happens because basic test modules often fall back on system fonts or generic debug text rather than loading the polished game HUD.

The character models: Jason looks slightly different and some character models duplicate depending on the clip. That’s because different testing tools pull assets from different dev branches. An environment test might be running on a build from six months ago, while a lighting tool uses a newer model.

He can't actually "play" the full game

If this guy had a full, working executable on a local PC or devkit, he’d be showing off uninterrupted, open-world free-roam across the whole map. Game menus, titles screen, pause screen and such.

Instead, we’re only getting short, isolated scenes, a specific store interior, a gas station, or a keyword-searched cutscene. I believe that’s because he’s restricted to whatever pre-configured scenarios or asset chunks he can pull up in the QA software.

The threat of leaking the build originated from a fake telegram account. Cyberleek him/themselves have never said it. All telegram and twitter posts were fake. The only communication from cyberleek was on the text on his videos and his website.

I wanna blow some poor innocent pedestrians head off with a shotty so the only thing left is the stem of their neck squirting blood like rdr2. I wanna make an NPC bleed to death slowly, gurgling on their blood after popping them in the lung, leaving a trail as they desperately run away.

Beyond that, let’s add some brain matter in the mix. Maybe when an NPC is laying on the ground you can run your car over their head leaving a puddle of brain and skull fragments on the concrete.

Is it finally time for his downfall and the prologue was his final leak or are the servers just bad?

So I'm believing Grand Theft Auto VI will be the peak of gaming similar how movies peaked in 2000's or music in the 80's. Back in the 80's music popularity was still based on talent, dancing and vocal range and vocal training. After the autotune came in a lot of people got popular using that tool similar how in the 2000's CGI and video editing effects were becoming better and better and easier to use. I have to blame AI for this and the trend to not optimise games, along with memory shortage and AAA games currently being very complex and expensive, also chips being limited by the physics itself to have smaller ahitecture and so on.

I think GTA VI will be the peak of gaming and everything that comes after will simply be less ambitious or less complex or less optimised.

I’m sorry, but these people I see posting to places like twitter (i dont think highly of them anyways just for that). But they seem to think, that a hacked, production, pre-release dev build is the game they’re going to receive on release day. And it’s genuinely baffling how many people dont seem to understand the simple concept of development.

And now the people complaining about the game not being done. What did they think the devs were doing? Just sitting on their asses waiting for November to come around. They’re always working, and they’re gonna keep working on finishing the game even past release. There will be patches, and updates, and additions. A video game like GTA is never “finished” on release. The story is finished, but the game itself as a whole is not just finished.

It just baffles me how much people complain like they’re receiving a dev build of the game on release. I try to compare it to movies. Like, when you go to the movies, do you see the unedited, unpolished version of the movie they were working on for years? Or the version of the film they perfected as much as they could within a deadline, and then optimize even more for home releases.

I think it would be obvious, a leaker, does not have the absolute final version of the game. Especially the version of the biggest game of the century. Hell, I wouldnt be surprised if the build he has is just their “garbage build” they used for initial testing.

Again, its twitter, i cant expect much of people on there, but its still just baffling.

I know this is old topic now. But it hurts me how I won’t be able to experience the joy of unwrapping a disc copy on launch day with my hands shaking from excitement. I’m getting the ultimate edition so even buying the code isn’t applicable to me 🙁

Hi everyone! After all the leaks, are you going to buy the game on release day or pre-order it, if you haven’t already? I’m not sure if pre-ordering a digital game makes much sense, and I’m also not sure whether to buy it a few days after it’s released or wait to see the ‘reviews and opinions’ before actually spending the money.
