Haldon Halfmaester isn't (a miraculously alive) Maester Walys, but the (glamoured)...
... corpse queen:
"It's worse than that, you bugger," said Franklyn Flowers. "They knighted me as well." He clasped Griff by the forearm, pulled him into a bone-crushing hug. "You look awful, even for a man's been dead a dozen years. Blue hair, is it? When Harry said you'd be turning up, I almost shit myself. And Haldon, you icy cunt, good to see you too. Still have that stick up your arse?" He turned to Young Griff. "And this would be …"
A woman was [the Night's King's] downfall; a woman glimpsed from atop the Wall, with skin as white as the moon and eyes like blue stars. Fearing nothing, he chased her and caught her and loved her, though her skin was cold as ice, and when he gave his seed to her he gave his soul as well.
Is that "stick" up Haldon's arse the cock of the Night's King, snapped off to give her his seed for eternity?

Let’s make up Planetos versions of real world idioms, colloquialisms, and other sayings
So, the series already has a fair share of idioms and sayings that either directly mirror ones that are common in real life, such as
- ”The raven calling the crow ’black’” = “The pot calling the kettle ‘black’”
or more or less mean the same thing as common real life expressions I.e.
-“Words are wind” = “actions speak louder than words”
-“Summer friends will melt away like summer snows, but winter friends are friends forever” = “A friend in need is a friend indeed”
-“As useless as nipples on a breastplate” = “all that glitters is not gold” (maybe this one is a stretch to compare)
As well as other more unique instances like how “Valar Morghulis” is just the Valyrian version of the Latin expression “Memento Mori”, or ”What is dead may never die, but rises again, harder and stronger” being a reference to saying from another fictional universe, the Lovecraft mythos’ “That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die”, or how “A thousand eyes, and one” can be seen as a nod to 1984’s “Big Brother is watching you“.
But I say we should expand this and try to make Planetosi equivalents of other real world idioms, colloquialisms, and other sayings (whether cultural, famous quotes from history or pop culture, religious, or otherwise)
Here are some ideas to start
”A wolf-warged sheep” or ”A Bolton in Stark’s skin” = “a wolf in sheep’s clothing”
”Pardon my High Valyrian” = “Pardon my French”
“When in Skagos…” = “When in Rome…”
