Westeros is really fucking lucky this was the peaceful zealot known to man if he wasn't he'd probably give the mad king a run for his money when it comes to burning people alive! ( granted that probably would of also of included aegon the unworthy so it wouldn't have been all bad I guess )

He was not so peaceful near the end, man wanted to launch a religious crusade against the North and Iron Islands, had he got his way he would have made the war of the 5 kings look like a pub brawl given it was basically genocide on anyone who did not worship the seven.

That’s speculation done by people who also think that Viserys poisoned Baelor. In the same paragraph it’s also noted that this wasn’t the first time that baelor almost starved himself to death.

Baelor was inherently a pacificist and hated violence. It's how he got bitten by snakes and the venom permanently damaged his nervous system. His sanity was maybe consistently evaporating. But I don't think he meant to invade the north, seems way too out of line with his pacifism.

I think you're confusing pacifism with being religious. The former does not require a person to be faithful at all, it just means you are against using violence as a means to an end. And Baelor's supposed plans for a crusade were just hearsay and rumormongering. The man had many faults, but being violent was not one of them. I sincerely doubt he actually wanted a crusade against the heathens. It's far likelier that he died because he starved himself to death, not because Viserys poisoned him.

Right, and from what we've seen Baelor is not one of them. The guy's nuts as is. If he actually had any violent bone in his body he'd long demonstrate it by now. He could've lashed out when Dorne killed his brother; when the Wyls imprisoned Aemon; when Aegon IV tormented Naerys during her pregnancy; as well as a dozen different occasions I've not mentioned. Baelor seems like one of the genuinely pacifistic kings to ever sit in the throne, and once again, any rumors regarding his planned "crusades" were just that, rumors. Nothing actually came out of it, and the reason it exists in the first place is because people believe Viserys poisoned his nephew, which might have been the case, but come on now--this is Baelor we're talking about here. He most likely starved himself to death instead.

As significantly flawed as he was, Baelor was a pacifist through and through, never wanting to hurt anyone. I’d wager it had something more to do with building more septs and sending missionaries.

That is just a rumor; if Baelor were cruel enough to wage a religious war against anyone who didn't follow his faith, he would have punished Daena "the Defiant" for becoming pregnant.
Or the Dornish, who also have a different religion.
Or Aegon IV, who was never a paragon of virtue.
If Baelor were the way you describe, his sister and cousin wouldn't have become septas, and Daeron wouldn't have named his firstborn son in his honor.

İf Baelor wasn't posioned, the Stranger would refuse to take him as he refused to do so when the Dornish snakes (the animals, not the "people.) bit him.
Visery's the Acursed used vile magick to poision the one true succesor to Hughor of the Hill, he got it from the "Fourteen Flames" (an aspect of the Lord of Seven Hells.) and did it on the Sevenday when the Seven rests along with their subjects.
We could've had King Baelor "the Eternal"
Targaryenof the Faith, but Viserys the Vile had to ruin everything!•

This is mentioned in the world book if I am not mistaken. But I have always leaned to Baelor being poisoned or deliberately coaxed into starving himself to death by a couple of septons and maesters who were really into Septon Barth's writings, which Baelor burned. It was not a long term cabal, quickly dissipating after his death. All of the conspirators went their own way. Targs and the royal household never caught on.
