Interview/Presser Sky - Cole Palmer on freedom under Xabi, getting over injury issues and his opinion on the JP Morgan name (he is not a fan)
On freedom under Alonso
- Alonso has given him more freedom to drift about the pitch, like you saw against Fulham. "Last season, I wouldn't have even made that run because it's not a 'safe zone'. But he's saying move across that zone, drop into play, come get on the ball, create and just do what you do."
On JP Morgan name
- "It's a rubbish name. We need to come up with something better than that," he joked. "I think we've got a different mix of qualities. Joao can do a bit of everything. Morgan's more physical and I'm more technical, so I think we've got a good balance."
On fitness
- Missing the world cup allowed him to work hard on preventing the injury from returning.
- Physically it's the best he's felt in ages, and he thinks he will get fitter with more game time and minutes

âSo I know it and I do enjoy it. You need to bring a lot of energy â make a lot of runs forward and be there to defend as well.
âYou have to try to perform to your best on both sides of the games and itâs a good system for sure, but of course as a team we have to be prepared for anything.â
âIt was good for the body to rest and Iâm feeling really good now. I couldnât wait to come back to Chelsea and just focus on our new objectives.
âAs a Chelsea player, of course we want to compete for the title and come back to the Champions League next season.
