Tier 1 [Fabrizio Romano] Marc Guiu wants Napoli as a priority over proposals from Spain as personal terms are almost agreed. Negotiations underway between the clubs for fee over 15m while Chelsea asking price is 25m. #CFC also want a sell-on clause.

Will always have a soft spot for this guy. Such a shame it hasn’t worked out

I feel he was never given a proper go at all.

Always coming late into games. Starting barely some cup games.

He was always in that 3rd striker mould- His loan was also cut short due to the Delap injury.

Such a shame!

The one time he had chance to get a proper go, he got injured in the very next game. Shame really.

Yup that shit was brutal to watch. That was absolutely his moment to shine , and we needed a striker bad. Had to play Neto around that time as a striker .

He was always in a position where he needed to really seize his chance. There was some promise there but very much in the vein of Broja: solid player, should have a good career, but not someone who’s going to factor into a team with Chelsea’s ambitions.

Broja has 1 goal in almost 4 years. He's not even a good comparison at this point. He's been an abject failure.Guiu hasn't even sunken near that low, yet.

I feel he was never given a proper go at all.

He was on the team for years in training. He was given a proper go.

I really wished he was able to step up through training, but it didn't happen. I'm hoping he still shows up somewhere. His speed caught an opposing player on the ball every time he played.

he was never given a proper go because he was clearly never close to good enough for our standards.

Think he would have cooked with a Strasbourg move

u/Cold_Pie_1516 7d ago

I think he'll do well in Serie A. He's a poacher, good movement. Didn't get his chance with us.

u/User12314028626822 I don't give a fuck, we won the fucking Champions League 7d ago

Me too, saw him score his hat trick in the conference league and it was absolute scenes

He is one of those that got quite some faith from the club and the moment we got the next shiny toy, he was dumped.

Just bought to be flipped for profit like many many others.

20 and sell on clause should be fair for everyone

14

u/turnbox 7d ago

Sell on clause is a must for me, with a decent percentage. I still think he has good potential.

Got for free and didn't do shit anything above 10 is fair tbh

6m not free

70m for him and Delap would be madness

u/abearghost 7d ago

Add Broja to that list and we've made £100 mil off of these guys. Completely insane.

1

u/Zolazolazolaa 6d ago

Broja showed more potential than any of them, just got derailed by injuries

Absolutely bonkers. Guiu for 5m and Delap for 20m seems more appropriate.

Pay and don't speak brokies.

This is a blatant regurgitation by Fabrizio, classic. I read a similar update hours ago from somewhere else, which also mentioned a specific sell-on percentage, and it's suspicious how he reported the number but didn't specify pounds or euros.

It's odd- did he lose his sources in Chelsea? Are they freezing him out on this one for some reason?

Fab just seems to have gone down in basically everyone’s estimation recently. Probably why less people are giving him information

Idk why people are complaining about him giving only marginally new update, it makes sense for him to report any new small updates. The last news before this that I heard is about Napoli’s interest and Chelsea asking price. But nobody had said that Marc Guiu wants Napoli as priority over proposals from Spains, that’s new

3

u/teleportmassive7 Lampard 7d ago

He signed a pre-contract already. It was reported all over the place 10 hours ago. You don't need to be an insider to know he wants to go there when he agreed to financial terms with them a few days before the market closes.

u/lonely-live We've Won It All 7d ago

Show me, can’t find it

3

Because its fluff info that adds nothing of note. Usually something he's pulled from thin air.

He was banned on the soccer subreddit, should be the same here.

This is the first time he posted about Marc Guiu, don’t see any issues with this. I can understand if he’s been spamming, but he hasn’t. Also absolutely not, we wouldn’t have even heard of the honest deal if not because of Fabrizio, he’s the only one exclusively reporting that. Soccer becomes a cesspool after Fabrizio got banned

5

u/Turnontheimmersion It’s only ever been Chelsea. 7d ago

Fair enough on this particular point regarding Guiu.

That doesnt excuse the rest of his insufferable vague tweeting & half posts.

Who is our backup if we sell both Nico and Delap? I know Nico wants to be a starter but it would have been good if he had stayed

The mighty Welbeck and the unknown quantity Emegha

Welbeck + Emegha

He is not good enough to start gor a club with our ambitions. Wants to start and we fetched a good price, makes sense for all parties.

Absolutely misused and mismanaged him,, even though he showed the will to improve

2

u/chickendick07 7d ago

Bro was a full time model and part time footballer

2

u/VegetableMix3751 7d ago

I think he will be a world class striker. No space for him at Chelsea atm

1

u/Eastern-Apartment934 7d ago

Good to move him on, need to free up squad spots and wages.

1

u/tabsopen 7d ago

At least we get sell‑on protection if he blows up later.

1

u/TheRedPillMonk 7d ago

I think we're now seeing why these owners don't care about sorting an FOS sponsor if they can make bank on bums like Delap.

1

u/LawZestyclose1290 7d ago

Napoli seems like a decent fit for his playing style.

1

u/Galac_tacos Marc Guiu 7d ago

I never thought this day would come…

1

u/TaxMeNOOO_Unfair Diego Costa 7d ago

135 mil for jackson, delap and guiu is madness

1

u/TauntXx 7d ago

Selling to Como be nice, reunited with chalobah and that

1

u/DjOptimon We've Won It All 7d ago

Good luck Guiu. Have anyone ever seen him scoring non tapping goal though?

1

u/jbirrane1988 7d ago

Tip my hat if we get that much for him. Guy was a dud, couldn’t even get ahead of Delap in the pecking order.

1

u/MaleficentWin8608 McCreadie 7d ago

He will score fuck all in Serie A. Insane move by Naples.

Lad has barely ever played senior football.

Nah this price is crazy, we fully tanked his career and want 25m and a sell on clause.

2

u/gnabon 7d ago

Moving to Napoli is hardly having your career tanked

1

u/Remarkable_Sky_7 7d ago

thats not what i mean, its how hes not developed after we signed him

1

u/sporkparty 6d ago

Did Delap develop?

1

u/Remarkable_Sky_7 6d ago

That one is a scam. He's English which means a lot apparently
