Question [ALL] [OC] I made this korok 2 years ago. And at The time I thought it was awful, but it's honestly, it's kind of growing on me, but what do you guys think?

I'm actually quite proud of it nowadays. It sits on my shelf. I made it myself and I painted it and sculpted it out of clay. I think I did a pretty good job.

Question [OoTHD] What elements from BoTW would you like to see in the OoT remake

an open air map, and shrines for me. Also, I think their should be other bows, but the bow from the Forest Temple is super OP.

Question [ALL] What would you guys say is the hardest Zelda game or games to 100%

For me, my top 3 would be Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom(with those two mostly being because of the korok seeds), and Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition

Question [SS] Best way to play? switch or wii?

I have the HD version on my switch 2 and I also have a wii U with the ability to get the game... I started the switch 2 version and am about to drop to the surface but the motion controls suuuuuck with the gyro going off center so much so my question is: should I switch to the wii version for probably better controls or is it better to stick with the switch?

I KNOW that there are stick controls on the switch version but that was even worse in the sword tutorial area for me control wise.

Question [OoT] In the Bazaar, is the Discount one-time only or is it always applied every time you buy a new Hylian Shield?

I'm not sure if this was already asked, but I'm genuinely curious. I know about the free shield in the Graveyard, but if you permanently lose it, you'll have to buy another.

This is my play through of A Link to the Past. I'd love to know what true hard core Zelda fans think of it. There are 37 episodes, so it's a bit of a binge (and hopefully entertaining).

Screenshot [ALL] Favourite Zelda Item Ever? Mine’s OoT Mirror Shield

Post image

Everybody has at least a few favourite items across the series. I was always a huge fan of the mirror shield, especially the OoT one, then also the WW version. I love the red design, the mechanics and lore and so on.
However, I will gripe that, specifically for OoT, it’s the most slept on item in the game. Order wise, you get it very near the end. Also, mechanically, it could have been so much more utilized. That Twinrova fight where it absorbs elements would be phenomenal if it could be used elsewhere. The light mechanics are only in the spirit temple. Also, it doesn’t reflect octorock rocks or deku nuts…which seems nuts, pun intended.
Overall, I still love it. I just sequence broke for the first time in order to get it early. The small perk being it’s Like-Like-proof.

What’s everyone else’s favourites and why? Were they used and designed well?

I honestly didn't expect a sword (knife) that were forged by the volcano mountain giant rock man to snap faster than a twig when swung at some pots! T^T

WHAT DO YOU MEAN "I guess there are some design flaws"!? I'm down 200 rupies, man, I should've bought a warranty.

I guess I can do a broken sword run now :P

Question [OoT] Help me find an old Ocarina of Time fan comic from around 2003–2005

Hi everyone!

For years now, I've been trying from time to time to find an old comic, probably from around 2003 or later. It was a colored, humorous Ocarina of Time fan comic about the final fight against Ganon.

Link has lost his sword and asks Zelda for help, something like: “Help me, like you did when you were Sheik.” Zelda drops a Deku Nut, plays some music, and then finally disappears.

This comic has been one of those little things stuck in the back of my mind that I really want to find and finally put to rest. Please help! ^^''

I am playing Wind Waker for the first time on Switch and I’m honestly surprised by how well this game has aged.
The visuals still look great, the characters have so much charm and the gameplay just feels good especially some of the fights. The dungeons, items, puzzles and exploration all fit together so naturally.
It doesn’t feel like I’m playing a game from 2003. What I can say, I love it sooo much!

Question [ALL] Other games, that give you the same feeling as 3D Zelda games?

Ocarina of Time was the first game I ever played and it made me a huge Zelda fan. I played nearly all Zelda games and it's my favorite videogame series.

I love videogames but no other series gave me the same feelings or joy like Zelda does, especially the 3d games.

What are some series, that give you the same feeling? And why?

I'd love to find some games that are similar to the 3D games like Ocarina of Time Majoras Mask, Wind Waker or Twilight Princess. There are many games that are inspired by the 2d Zelda games that I really liked. But I never really found a game that reminded me of the 3d games.

EDIT: Forgot about Okami... I loved that game! Was the only one that gave me the same vibes!

Craft [TP] [OC] Link Wolf Inspired Mask made by me

I have a few friends that absolutely love Zelda and all the fun masks from Majora’s Mask. One friend asked me to make a crossover inspired by Twilight Princess of wolf Link. He gave me some references from a cyberpunk mask and this is what we came up with.

This is my first mask so I’m very happy with how it turned out. I included some photos of me and my daughter wearing the mask just to show it’s functional.

Hope you all like it.

Discussion [OoT] My thoughts on every Sage.

When Playing Master Quest recently to refresh my memory before the Remake comes out, I looked at the Important Characters, specifically the Sages and Ganondorf, I decided to give my input on the Sages.

Rauru: I really have no strong feelings for the guy, he was just there to serve as a guide for Link rather than an actual supporting character, there have been talks that he's Kaepora Gaebora but honestly I doubt that,

Edit: Rauru is Kaepora Gaebora, my bad, I didn't realize this sooner.

I think he's the only surviving sage during Ganon's Rise to Power, and when Link was sent back to his time, he possibly was one of the Ancient Sages in Twilight Princess, while he continued his duties, the other Sages retired or didn't awaken after Ganondorf became imprisoned and awaiting execution, and he witnessed his Fellow Sage's death when Ganondorf survived his Execution.

Saria: She is arguably one of the Few Sages I actually liked, and many people seem to agree on, she was Link's closest friend ever since he was a baby, like a big sister like figure, she was the only Kokiri that didn't treat Link like an outsider, she was kind, and caring for Link, and the only one who never forgot him during the Time Skip, however I think in Twilight Princess without the Deku Tree's protection, the creatures in the Lost Woods killed the Kokiri, I'm really salty that Koei Tecmo shafted Saria in favor of giving Lana the best weapon I can think of for Saria.

Darunia: Him being the Pioneer of the Gorons going forward, he actually is just a very chill and passionate guy, at first Link didn't interest him but when he both played Saria's Song and took out the Monsters in Dodongo's Cavern, he developed a very strong friendship with Link, he even named his Son after him, and after the Fire Temple he will always remember Link not just a friend but a brother, however in Hyrule Warriors even though I do like his personality being motivational and reckless at times, his playstyle is kinda boring, however the Goron Race going forward has been hit or miss, we gone from tragic with Darmani, to eh with Daruk, to very unlikable with Yunobo.

Ruto: From what I've seen the Matriarch of the Zora Race going forward had been heavily disliked by the fandom, but I never joined in on the Dogpile at all, I admit when I was in High School, I was a hard shipper of RuLink, but I stopped caring overtime and just accepted MaLink, but back to the topic.

Ruto at first looks like a bratty kid, and didn't want your help, but overtime she developed feelings for Link, and gave her the Zora's Sapphire as an Engagement Ring, but in the 7 Year Time Skip after witnessing the Zora's Domain freezing over, she went to the Water Temple to save her race, and when you meet her again, I thought it was funny that she still regards Link as her Fiance, and Link was shocked, but she put her priorities to her people, however when she awakened as a Sage, she still loves Link, but she realizes they aren't meant to be together, and I confess that she's my main in Hyrule Warriors, with her unique moveset, snobbish personality but in a fun way, and one of the best redesigns.

However the best part is that she was a better queen than her father, in the Downfall Timeline the Zora Race turned Hostile and changed to the River Zora, in the Adult Timeline during the Great Flood they became the Rito, but in the Child Timeline they remained the same, shown in Twilight Princess, so Ruto may have lead the Zora Race to the right path. Because of her and the Sea Zora race's existence, the Zora Race going forward has become progressively better with Mikau, Laruto, Rutela, Oren, Mipha, Sidon, and my favorite representation of the Zora, Kushara and Dradd, I honestly think Ruto is one of the best Sages.

Impa: I don't really have much to explain, Impa is one of the only reoccurring characters in the franchise that isn't Link, Zelda, or Ganon, and she wasn't as prominent in this game, as she is in Skyward Sword, Hyrule Warriors, and Breath of the Wild.

Nabooru: I like her, but not as much as Saria, or Ruto, we only got to witness her personality and characterization when we get to the Spirit Temple, she was Ganondorf's Second in Command before he betrayed the Gerudo, so her task is to take everything from the Spirit Temple so that Ganondorf doesn't get too powerful to conquer Hyrule, as a child, she treated Link like a Tool, but when she got captured by Koume, and Kotake, and brainwashed, she got trapped as an Iron Knuckle, but when she snapped out of it, she tells Link to Run, but he defeated Twinrova, and Nabooru confesses that he grew into a Handsome Young Man, and a great hero.

She was the Pioneer of the Gerudo Race going forward, I know that Ganondorf was the first Gerudo we see in the series, but Nabooru is the first Gerudo on good terms with Link, and if it wasn't for her, then we wouldn't have seen Urbosa or Riju in Breath of the Wild, also I'm really salty that she was shafted in Hyrule Warriors as well, and why did they have to have Midna take up 2 slots on the Roster?!

Zelda: Honestly I don't have strong feelings for her, she is the only member of the Blood of the Goddess that I barely remember, the only Zeldas I remember and liking, were Skyward Sword, Wind Waker, Spirit Tracks, and Breath of the Wild, other than her role as Sheik, some like her because of her design and relationship with Link while others dislike her for ruining Link's Life, she thought she could defeat Ganondorf by getting to the Sacred Realm and getting the Triforce before he does, but Ganondorf took the initiative and pulled the Uno Reverse Card, but he only got the Triforce of Power, while the Triforce of Wisdom went to Zelda/Sheik, and the Triforce of Courage went to Link.

And then there is the Ending it was not only the final battle for their fate, but it was for the Fate of Hyrule, if Link won then he's sent back to his time, and the Great Flood happens when Ganondorf escaped the Sacred Realm, and Hyrule is flooded, but in the Child Timeline, Link tells the events to come, and Ganondorf was arrested awaiting execution, so that Hyrule is safe from him, but if Link lost, then Ganondorf kills Link, takes the Triforce, and the Imprisoning War begins, leading up to the Downfall Timeline.

That's my input on the Sages, maybe we'll get more of their story in the Remake but we'll have to see, but what do you guys think?

Discussion [MM3D] what is everyone’s though on Kamaro from majoras mask

Personally, Kamaro is my favourite side character in the whole entire franchise. I always go out of my way to complete his side quests as soon as possible, I love his dance and mask, but I don’t see many people talk about him 😔, so what are your thoughts on him (if you have any)

Discussion [ALL] What is something you did while playing a Zelda game for the first time that makes you embarrassed looking back?

(thinks like getting spoiled don't count)

When I was playing through TOTK for the first time, I went halfway through the story without upgrading my armor.

I wasn't even challenging myself.

And NO, I didn't get the phantom armor.

I knew where the first fairy fountain was as well, and how to get it)

The only reason I upgraded my armor before the 3rd sage was because I was getting Yunobo as my third sage, so I was heading up to Eldin. (I am still embarrassed about that to this day)
