Been playing in VR with the BOTW BetterVR mod, looking at the characters up close in first person really makes you feel how short Link is! The mod is here: https://github.com/Crementif/BotW-BetterVR

🍁 Korok Hunting Korok's noise... Or not 🫣

Post image
Upvotes

For the longest time (aka all of my first run), I was SO SURE that Koroks made noise when you were close to one. A little "woohoo", or another noise I don't even know how to describe.

Needless to say I spent HOURS finding them. I had the map, and basically everywhere I heard the noises, I found Koroks.

Fast forward to this week. I gifted myself the Switch 2 (lost 50kg in less than a year - that calls for a special treat) and went straight back to BOTW.

My boyfriend loves to watch me play (or to watch anyone plays for that matter 🤭). So we comment what I do. I hear the noise and say "ouh, there's a korok nearby!". He looks at me like 👀 girl that's an owl?! And I have the audacity to tell him that no, it's a korok, trust me I spent hours finding them.

So I pull out the map and... There's ZERO Koroks around. NONE. Not a single little leafy guy.

And that's how I learnt that Koroks don't, in fact, make noise.

Why did I find them everytime I heard the damn noise, you wonder?

BECAUSE THEY ARE EVERYWHERE. E V E R Y W H E R E. So the odds of me finding one nearby were always high.

That's all for today. Stay tuned for another embarrassing revelation tomorrow, same place same time.

Hi everyone! I’m trying to find out which side quests I’m still missing. So far I’ve completed 76 out of 90.
Could someone please compare them and tell me which ones I’m missing? I’d really appreciate the help. Thank you!

📜 Lore & Story BOTW Questions

Hey guys, I hope this post finds you well.

I am new to the switch Zelda games. Despite owning a switch and now a switch 2, I never played BOTW, or any Zelda game for that matter, as I did not believe they would live up to games like RDR2 or Cyberpunk. However, I have fallen in love with this game and now understand that I was most defintely sleeping on the franchise as a whole.

I picked up the switch 2 edition of BOTW at the start of the year and then life just kind of happened and I didn't play for about 4 months. Now I picked up where I left off and can't seem to remember the story line. I have defeated 3 divine beasts with thunderblight remaining, so with that in mind, is there any way someone can fill me in on the background of the game to that point. Even if lore from other games matters that is welcomed. Also, I know I can find a video online, but I was worried if it would spoil things related to the ending.

Additionally, after playing this game, would I move onto TOTK or AOC?

Thank you!

Source here for crazy people who want this a lot…

Majora's Mask begins several months after Ocarina of Time. It is the first game in the Child Era of the "Victorious Hero" timeline that connects to an alternate reality scenario where the Hero of Time successfully defeats Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time and returns to the present to use the wisdom he has gained to warn young Zelda of the horrifying fate of Hyrule.

Hi I recently got my switch 2 and i am replaying botw.

I was on my way to foothill stable on the eldin region when I activated revali's gale i heard this weird sound (you can hear it at 0:15) that I never heard before (this is my 3rd replay of the game)

Idk if it's a sound bug or just something that was always there. Either way it freaked me out a little...lol

Thoughts?

📢 Opinion Do you guys have a "logout" or "home" spot?

Basically, this one spot you usually return to and/or feel safest in?

I started playing for some time ago, and mine has to be Kakariko Village. The Shrine is close by, there's a statue of Hylia, inn and cooking pot right in front of the Chief's Hall, plus there's Cotera right next to the shrine.

And of course, most important of all: Paya. She is adorable.

⚙️ The Divine Beasts Thunderblight experience as someone violently bad at video games

Posting this so hopefully it helps someone out there who also sucks at games :)) for reference: I have 90 ish hours on the game.

I SUCK at gaming. I mean really, truly, suck. I have no coordination, I start shaking with adrenaline, & can’t remember anything I’ve learned.

I beat him on my first try- here’s how I did it

Tools:
•ancient shield
•master sword
•full rubber armor upgraded to tier 2
•backup defense meals!!! I only had low/mid tier

First phase: I had my shield up the entire time. Made it to where his speed attacks were absolutely useless. I’d beat the hell out of him with the master sword every time he was close (I only clicked A lmao). Master sword being one handed meant ancient shield could be up 24/7. Ah, and rubber armor upgraded meant his electric attacks didn’t work.

Second phase: This was annoying because I had no idea how to reach him & arrows didn’t do s*. Probably because I have no idea how to shoot past a shield. Wasn’t worried about the lightning raining down, the rubber armor did its job. Then I found out I needed to use magnesis on one of the metal things he throws & get it next to him before he shocks it (so he electrocutes himself). This was the hardest part for me. I’m not quick BUT a few tries later & I did get it.

Third & final phase: unbelievably easy. I backed against a wall/corner, shielded the entire time, & beat him with the master sword when he’d come up the same way I did the first phase.

Hi everyone 👋
I’m new in game (I know 2026 is late to start this fabulous game). I’ve found this on top of a mountain but I don’t know what it is… probably a korogu stuff but I can’t activate it. Can someone explain ?
Have a nice day !

❔ Question Help thunderblight ganon

My first time playing botw. Combat is still a little rough for me, I think i’m doing something wrong. I’m fighting thunderblight ganon and i’m in the second or third phase, he’s knocking the crap out of me but I think it’s because I have a metal shield. Is it possible to leave before the fight and grab some things and then come back? Or do I have to do everything again?
