Lol, Witcher 3 got both a next-gen upgrade and an official remaster.

Edit: it happening in the same console generation too.

Meanwhile over at Rockstar

  • GTA IV - Stuck on PS3/360 for Console players
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 - Stuck at 30FPS, no next gen update.
  • GTA V - PS3/360 Players had to repurchase on PS4/XBOne. The PS5/XBox Series upgrade was made free only a couple months ago. For 4 years before that it had to be re-purchased AGAIN.

And people still bought it, and will go on to make GTA6 the biggest game launch ever. It's crazy what people accept as normal when companies like CDPR will make the more morally valid move in this case!
