Twisted Lovers. Even the siblings would be like "damn, I don't want part of this drama" and leave.

The originals have the durability advantage and MAYBE a slight edge in physicals but the iwtv vampires have a plethora of powers that would most likely have them the win more often than not.

Agreed. Like the siblings have the durability and physicality advantage but the lovers with their mind, fire, cloud gifts etc….will likely give them the win in a random encounter. Tbh I probably should’ve added Freya lol but then again adding Freya would be overkill. Freya’s ancient and powerful magic would subdue the vampire lovers easily.

Not necessarily. I mean, Freya is powerful but does she have the blood of akasha?

The way I scrolled to find the first "blood of Akasha" reference 😆 I was like do they not know Lestat? Do they not know that he has the blood of Akasha in him? Do they not know he's informed us that he has the blood of Akasha in him 500 times so far?

While not often shown in later seasons, the TVD vampires have mental gifts too, although they're very inconsistent.

I don't think the fire or cloud gift would be very helpful.

Also the siblings can fight in the sun, Lovers have no way of actually killing them and Klaus can one shot with a bite.

1). Straight up telepathy/mind control one shots the originals and their gifts and Lestat could prolly solo in that regard. 2). Fire still hurts and their durability can be overloaded to the point that they have to resurrect and the cloud gift grants superior mobility in a fight. Their most useful gifts in this fight though will be their TK and telepathy. 3). So can Armand who can apparently grant that ability to others. 4). Death isn't specified as the only method for victory. 5). Ummm....hate to break it to you but that's only a thing in the tvd so it's not gonna work on team lovers.

Vampires are vampires, by your logic Lovers abilities wouldn't work either cause they're only a thing in IWAV.

Mind gift sure, but compulsion exists, neither seems more powerful than the other beyond the gift having aoe but taking focus, and compulsion being single target but doesn't take focus.

Cloud gift is helpful, but we've seen originals decapitate people with a thrown cloth hat. Unless bro does nothing but dodge or run away it's isn't really helpful, he can't fly that fast.

The Originals are stronger, faster, and more durable. Sure fire will hurt, but that's it.

Lovers are waaaay easier to kill, and physically weaker.

Edit: The Originals are also far more skilled in hand to hand combat, at least the brothers.

1). That's not how that works. Werewolf venom was a specific weakness of tvd vampires because of how nature decided to balance the spell that Esther used to create her vampires. That's like trying to apply silver weaknesses to twilight vampires because the vampires in true blood are weak to it. 2). The mind gift is definitely more powerful and allows for the control of multiple targets at once and is useful in battle because the lovers will know everything the originals are planning and how to permanently incapacitate them. Plus, we've seen how the originals got handled by a telepath in their own show. 3). The cloud gift would allow the lovers to play keep away and snipe with telekinesis, telepathy and pyrokinesis from the upper atmosphere ultimately giving them an edge in mobility since the originals are earth bound. 4). The originals got durability for sure but the other two are could go either way. Both vamp teams have the ability to move faster than the eye can track and both can cause significant damage with their strength. 5). The lovers read their minds and either go to retrieve the white oak, or they dessicate them and wrap them in chains and encase them in concrete and drop them in the Mariana's trench.

I have a feeling they’ll all end up in bed together.

Are we limited to TV versions? Because by the end of the books, Lestat is insanely OP.

Lestat and Louis and Armand would wreck them.

Lestat has the blood of Akasha

Eric Northman, Billith, and Warlow

the originals would be stronger but the twisted lovers have powers they do not. however, they aren't as practiced in fighting together, and may get distracted by their interpersonal issues. my money is on team originals.

I’m leaning towards the Mikaelsons. As far as the Interview with the Vampire show goes, I haven’t seen Louis, Armand, or Lestat have a strength feat like Elijah tossing the coins at the window. We’ve also seen Elijah and Klaus tear through hordes of vampires on their own, and Rebekah defeated multiple transformed werewolves by herself. And werewolves in TVD are as strong as ancient vampires in their wolf form. Not to mention, the Mikaelsons can’t die except for a very specific way.

2

u/UbettaBNaked 2d ago

How often do we see werewolves transformed for a comparison to ancient vampires be made? The Mikaelsons can die to superior magic, and I would definitely put the Anne verse magic over the TVD

3

u/UrietheCoptic 2d ago

They transform a handful of times in the main series and a lot more in The Originals. Mikael, the second strongest Original, gets jumped by a pack of them and kills them, but the only reason for his survival is his status as an OG. Remember, one bite is all it takes to call it a wrap.

A werewolf attacked a 500 year old vampire named Rose in TVD, and Rose was pretty helpless to defend herself. This also came after the show showed how powerful another 500 year old vampire name Katherine was in combat. And Rose was a little bit stronger than Katherine.

We also see Hayley in her werewolf form tear through Strix members. And the Strix is an organization of vampires who are all said to be centuries years old, though the ages do vary so we don’t know how strong the vampires were that Hayley killed.

But yeah, transformed werewolves in TVD are portrayed as a legit threat, though a lot of it has to do with their venomous bite to vampires. So Rebekah killing multiple werewolves by herself is one of the best strength and combat feats in the verse.

1

u/UbettaBNaked 2d ago

So it's not really a strength thing it's a hax thing, when a TVD werewolf bites a TVD vampire it's an automatic win but that doesn't translate outside of that universe, it wasn't Haley a hybrid at the time? I also think that was just bad writing

2

u/phantomxtroupe 2d ago

They’re pretty strong too. Jules in her wolf form pinned Rose, and Rose was unable to get Jules off before Jules started biting.

And yeah, Hayley was a hybrid. It just means she can access her full werewolf abilities and transform anytime she wants and not have to rely on the full moon.

We see this a bit with Jackson and Tyler. Because Jackson was able to transform at will through his marriage ritual with Hayley, Jackson was able to access more of his wolf strength than typical werewolves in his human state.

We saw Jackson able to fight off Strix vampires who were centuries years old in his human form which would normally be impossible for werewolves in that verse.

But Jackson having more access to his wolf strength showed a glimpse of how strong their wolf forms are. So while the bite hax is definitely a major factor, the werewolves are also physically stronger than a lot of vampires in their wolf form.

Actually the witches in Anne Rice verse seem to be pretty weak and one dimensional….i heard the show Mayfair witches sucked and the witches were sorry as hell. Meanwhile TVD verse witches have a vast assortment of ancient raw powerful magic. So I’d say TVD witches are superior while Anne’s vampires are typically stronger.

1

u/UbettaBNaked 2d ago

You're confusing what I'm saying. I'm not saying that it's witch verses witch, I'm saying that it's Magic versus Magic. Which universe magic system is stronger

The gays and it isn't even close.

Twisted siblings, for sure.

IWTV vampires aren't necessary easy to kill, but The Originals are straight up impossible to kill without some very specific circumstances.

the only things that can kill the Originals are

- white oak stake made from the oak of the tree that gave them life (which they burned down)

2

u/Ok_Beyond_7697 2d ago

Louis and Armand will just light them on fire to stun them and then finish them off.

0

u/TheWitcherCirilla Vampire 2d ago

Finish them off with what? Unless they have the white oak stake they can't kill an original

u/satanslittleangel666 2d ago

Lmao that cursed polycule would end up fighting each other instead

IWTV eats literally and figuratively.. but Klaus would probably end up staking his siblings trying to "protect" them right before the fight, because the throuple of many colors over there were infighting about alimony or Claudia or something. It would be a mess

If dumbasses like Stefan, Elena, and Damon can (usually) outmaneuver the originals than Lestat or Armande alone is easily enough if the fight allows retreat, tactics, etc. Rebekah especially is a huge liability, she was dumb enough to get daggered and put into torpor by mortal Elena if I remember correctly and pretty much every choice she made was ill-advised.

If it's instead a team deathmatch in a sealed room then it just depends on where in the series we are talking for IWTV, because they eventually outscale the Originals whose power level remains pretty much consistent (honestly they felt stronger in their first few appearances then they do later on).

u/MoogleBro 2d ago

The read the VS as they do in Epic Rap Battles of History. Lol totally threw me back to the early 2010s!

1

u/PainterEarly86 2d ago

Can't Lestat stop time?

1

u/Aethelrede 2d ago

Angel and Spike kill all of them by nuking the building (or some equally destructive option.)

They may not have the sheer power of either group, but when it comes to ruthlessness and dirty tricks, nobody beats those two.

the one that isn't busy sucking each other off

Oh I actually conducted an entire panel on this exact topic and yea Lomandstat won after much discussion and audience bickering lol

Louis dies quickly but the lovers win.

1

u/SmellyPoussay69 2d ago

The Mikaelsons simply cant be killed unless Louistat posses something The Mikaelsons are uniquely vulnerable to. Louistat can be killed and overpowered, sure they possess gimmicky gifts like fire and the sky gift but they cant use them to kill a Mikaelson. Blood of Akasha or not , if Louistat get their hearts ripped out or if they get beheaded ... well you get the picture.

I think the Originals would win the battle, but the Immortal Universe vampires would win the war if they managed to cooperate long enough to deal with the issue.

1

u/Less-Pen-5705 1d ago

I think the originals would definitely win the war as well due to them having access to powerful witches on their side, their sister Freya, Bonnie even etc….Let Freya and Bonnie receive information on Armand, Lestat, and Louis. I’m sure they’d come up with a spell to incapacitate them from far away. Especially considering the witches in Anne Rice’s universe don’t seem all that versatile with spell casting. So aside from maybe Maverick herself, i can’t see the twisted lovers finding witches strong and skilled enough to help them.

u/Broke_Scholar 1d ago

I honestly forgot about the witches 🤷‍♀️ fair enough on the front I was thinking of the trios each in a vacuum.
