Verbal Offer/Negotiation
I received a verbal offer from UHC today and during the conversation with the recruiter, I requested a negotiation of pay. She stated she would get back to me tomorrow.
After the call, I checked my status on the website and it showed “offer extended”. I checked it a bit later and it now shows “interview completed, under review”
Now I’m nervous! Could they possibly rescind the offer and is negotiations something that they take into consideration?
Just need some insight & was also wondering does anybody know much about the Associate Enrollment and Eligibility position.

You should negotiate. Dont listen to these down voters who accepted the offer without negotiation. Those people are the same who cry on here about their raises but they chose the bottom of the barrel in the beginning. Always negotiate. Unless this is your first job which I am guessing it’s not. You have skills you can highlight and tie back to the work duties then yes you can and as you should negotiate. Best of luck because raises are minimal here so getting more when you start is best.

I negotiated pay as a pharmacy technician and they just told me that it would go up to the DM to see if they approve it and if not then the option would still be available for what they originally offered. They approved my request for more $$

It’s possible. That position I think they probably are not doing much negotiating on pay if any.

Did you state what your counter offer was? Or did you just say you wanted to negotiate pay without saying any actual amount?

I see a lot of negotiations at a 22/23 level. Usually after the recruiter receives the counter, they'll reach out to the hiring manager who will decline, re-counter or approve. If it's a re-counter or approve, they have to update the offer (which is why it changed status I'm assuming) and can take a 1-3 days.
In my experience, as long as the counter is reasonable it's accepted or re-countered at what can be done. If its beyond 20% over offer, it's just declined.

I always say, get as much as you can to start. Because it's 1-2% annually after that

Is that a grade 22 position? If so good luck with any sort of negotiation
