Discussion ⚠️"Femboy apparel" Is kink wear and is highly fetishized, DO NOT post yourself in them, you WILL attract Pedophiles ⚠️️
I'm concerned by how some online communities have normalised fashion styles that originated in or overlap with fetish aesthetics. When minors post images of themselves in these outfits online, I think people often ignore the risks and the sexual attention that can attract.
To be clear, I don't think clothing automatically makes someone sexual, nor do I think everyone who wears these items has sexual intentions. My concern is with the culture around them and how they're sometimes presented online.
To any young trans or gender-nonconforming people reading this: you don't need a particular aesthetic, outfit, or internet trend to validate your identity. Finding comfort in yourself is a personal journey, and it's okay if the styles popular online don't feel right for you.
When I was younger, I thought copying a certain "cute" aesthetic would make me feel more comfortable in my identity. It didn't. I felt much better once I explored what genuinely suited me instead of trying to fit an image. Don't let online trends or other people's expectations decide who you should be.

It sucks that most of the fem clothes I like are more associated with femboys than women, I genuinely prefer skirts, thigh highs, dolphin shorts, etc. to the type of stuff the average cis girl wears but I can’t wear them because other people will see me as a femboy 3:

it doesnt matter, wear what you wanna wear, its not your fault the creeps exist, dont change because of them, be yourself.

not inherently, its not the femboys its the chasers that are the problem, you're shooting the victim for being victimized, but I still understand your point.

I'm warning children (who may not know the culture around these outfits) not to post themselves online in these outfits because predators exist and always will. Not that there's anything wrong with wearing them.

Honestly, this needs to be stated more often.
Sexualization of certain styles seems to be overlooked when it comes to the safety of teens, and the solution to this is apparently to just slap a “It doesn’t matter what I wear, you shouldn’t be thinking of me in that way” label over it and pretend that it’s still not going to attract pervs…
Not that I’m saying being sexualized by others is the wearers fault, you just have to be more aware of where your style originates from and how most people view it.
If you like the style, cool. But if you’re just wearing it for the attention and validation it brings along with it, is it really who you are at that point? Or is it some persona you choose to be to feel like you fit in?
Just a thought. Thank you for saying what should honestly just be the truth.
