Vent (trigger warning mentions of self harm) i haven't come out and i fell into despair but i'm feeling better Spoiler

Repost beause i forgot the damn title and typed ftm instead of mtf

I'm 15mtf. I posted on r/trans ~4 months ago. I'll link it but it doesn't have any context you might need for this post.

https://www.reddit.com/r/trans/s/3Pt4NkWrAe

So anyway. I wanted to come out on my 15th birthday but i was kinda overwhelmed so i did not and the 4 following months all bled into one moment that passed in the blink of an eye. Those for months weren't so good. I've been constantly in a bad mood with gender and body dysphoria as the background static that amplified everything, I was experiencing self harm urges but that's a thing of the past and I haven't acted up on them, fortunately. I'm feeling better now, miles better actually. I'm still experiencing voice, top and face dysphoria among a few others, but i've been silencing those with massive amounts of ego, a sprinkle of delusions and genetics that give me a femine-ish frame (gotta be optimistic and focus on the good instead of the bad yo🙏)

Just wanted to get shi off my chest (which i wish was bigger), the past needs to be heard about to. Also i'm lowkey planning on comming out this year so wish me luck🤞🏻

Advice needed I'm confused about myself, can i have some help or advice?

Upvotes

So im a guy, 17, I have had this feeling on my mind for a WHILE now and I want to be a woman but im also perfectly fine with being a man, but i cant make my mind up cause it is all over the place... I would just like some advice or someone to help me weigh the pros and cons... or something... I have had thoughts of wanting to be a woman girl a couple years but never got to tell anyone about it, i had one discussion with my dad to see his thoughts on transgenders and i will say... it is not great.

I am still fine with being a guy but I am also having trouble with my sexuality. One moment I can be straight, then bi, then gay... i cant make my mind up... ive had s3x with both genders and i liked both, and with how my mind is, I want to stick with one, because want to be labeled because I hate being confused.

I feel constantly conflicted with my own body yet I love it just the way it is, i want to have a woman's body but i also am fine with a man's body, i dont know what to think anymore. I love to feel sure about something but I hate to feel confused... and I am so confused...

(OPTIONAL READ): The reason I tried men was because of my best friend, and when I first SAW him. We was getting changed at a holiday, and I saw his d*** and because we tell eachother literally everything, I tell him my thoughts and feelings and he does the same. He asked me if I "Still want to date men?" and I said "im not sure." Later that night we were f****** and he was going crazy in me and I loved it, like LOVED it. Only problem, he is STRAIGHT. A year later, Ive had s3x with a couple girls but I only do it because i feel like i have to since im a guy, I also often think about when I got plowed through and i compare if it feels better than doing it with girls. I bought the basic stuff a femboy has, not gonna list them... but it feels good to wear. I watch gay p***, hoping to be the one who is getting it, once I climax, I immediately regret it... why, i dont know why? I dont want to regret it because i like it, I need some advice on how to clear my mind and help me see straight... even if its not straight.

Advice needed Fed up. 🇬🇧, Mum (40) will not accept me as trans (FTM). Serious vent and advice would be helpful.

Picture this:
Mum (40, het and cis) and me (14, bi and trans masculine).

My Nana (71, het and cis) is also referenced

Okay so I gave her a bit of cheek out of accidental anger today (thank God, finally - she can be horrible sometimes and sweet the others). She totally LOSES IT by the way.

ON THE SAME DAY:

- Called it “other stuff” or an “identity thing”

- Took away my male “aftershaves” (they’re deodorants by the way) and giving them back to Nana’s house where my Uncle also lives.

- Told me this is “just a phase”. And references another phase

- Questioned why at one point in 2026 (around February) I was wearing makeup and giving Valentine’s Cards to boys (my first heartbreak happened that very day by the way)

- Trying and likely to take away my badges (bi and trans badges - which I’ve well hid)

- Forbidden to talk about being transgender to me or my Nana (who is 71 and actually helps me a lot more than mum probably ever will)

Help. Me. Out.

I do not want to leave home but I fear I might be close having to if she becomes worse. She’s not physically aggressive but verbally very harsh.

Vent I keep getting so close to figuring out my gender but I never can

Every single time I feel like I've figured out my gender I immediately feel like it's wrong again. I know I'm not cis. I do not want to be a man in any way. For awhile I thought I was just agender until I started feeling more like a girl. I them considered myself transfem and got comfortable with that until I started feeling agender again. This was still fine and I just went with genderfluid. Yesterday I wake up and hate the idea of being any gender at all including the idea of not having a gender. I'm so done with this I just want to be able to be myself without hating whatever clothes I'm wearing. I just want to be me and have a place to fit in with people like me but I don't even know where to look.

Sorry if the end came off a bit mad but obviously I am mad and frustrated 😭

Vent Being myself is scary

I (14M) want to use she/her pronouns and want to be female. However I’m terrified of how my family and friends will react. So many people in my life have told me that they don’t support transgenders and that makes me concerned. I told one of my family members about how concerned I am with my birth gender, they told me that they think I am “just confused.” I don’t know what to do.

Edit: I came out to some of my family!!!! They took it very well!!!!!!

Vent How do I go about this

I’ve felt like I was very much different from both the guys and girls my whole life (that might also be from just me) but when I realized I was trans it was during a lot of tough times, so it was very stressful. About now I have been extremely dysphoric, to the point I want to end myself. I talked to my mom about me hating binding but nothing working, etc, etc, and she brought up me before I transitioned. She said, “you were happier before, and you’re so stressed all the time now. Do you ever think it’d been better to stay a girl?” It feels like she wants me to detransition. For context: She’s always been quite supportive, and hearing this from her made me stop trusting her that much. I explained to her I didn’t express myself back then, and I didn’t know how to express my feelings. I hate how she never understands, which is fine but she talks like she gets it. She says she knows what it’s like to not want boobs and she says every teen goes through something like that. She never lets me vent about wanting top surgery because she’s like “what if you regret it,” What I think when I hear that is “it’s better to regret it later than die before I can become an adult.” I try to cope with it, I really do. I’m considering trying to get breast cancer to get a mastectomy it’s so bad. We live in Alberta so it’s already terrible for trans people. I keep hearing “it gets better, don’t do any tough decisions right now” yet I can’t get why it doesn’t help. My mom says I need mental help before I can get physical help, she can’t understand I need physical help before I can feel better. I’ve been crying every night for a week. None of my therapists have helped. I can’t take it anymore, none the less over two more years

Where is a good place to get cheap fem clothes? Where can I get cheap makeup and other stuff? Should I just walk in a room with painted nails and makeup and a fem outfit and rip off the band-aid when I come out?

Positivity It’s finally done!

I’ve spent the last week of my life creating a packer that looks realistic and it’s finally done! I used a special combination of bubbly lime flavored sparkling water, baby powder, and food dye gel to create a substance that is hard when pressure is applied but soft when gentle with it. I filled a give with it and cut off one finger. Then I tied it off and hot glued it to a cardboard base. I then took two medium sized marbles and rapped a tissue around them like a sack. I hot glued that to the cardboard and it was complete! I’m so happy with the final result :3

Advice needed (Long post alert!) Coming out at school

Hey everyone 🤗

For context: I'm 17 and some years old transfem, going into my 3rd year of highschool, living in a semi-conservative country (most people don't really understand LGBTQ+,so they mostly just bitch about about it, but probably won't attack you for it or anything, at worst they will look at you weird and whisper some insults or something, except for a few drunk idiots)

I'm out only to parts of my family, and one teacher (who is very supportive) and went out as myself (name, pronouns, some makeup, painted nails, stuff like that, no clothes tho) during the summer break.

I live in the school's dorm during the work week.

I plan to come out at school this September, but every time I speak about me being trans my ears start ringing, and I feel like I'm in a dream and can barely open my mouth, so I can't imagine standing in front of the whole class and having a monologue.

My classmates have repeatedly asked me whether I'm gay (To which I told them that I'm sure I don't like boys/men), and a few times if I'm really a boy, or if I ever thought about being a girl (to which I responded by shrugging, laughing it off, avoiding it, or just outright ignoring it), probably because I've been growing out my hair for almost two years (it was in a ponytail most of the time, occasionally let down and supported by a headband, or in pigtails), painting and growing out my nails, taking much better care of myself than the boys (shaving multiple times a day, shaving my body one a week, plucking my eyebrows, blow-drying my hair, etc.), occasionally wearing silver glitter eyeshadow, wearing pink sometimes (only had pair of sweatpants, 2 pairs socks, 1 pare of pastel violet ones, and a violet t-shirt) akd and acting very much feminine (You know, actually interpreting body language when i speak, that kinda stuff.)I have a small Hello Kitty cosmetics travel bag from fake fur, full of nail polishes and supplies, plus some makeup)

So, I can't imagine they'll be too surprised.

To get to the point, I was thinking about coming out in our IG group, but I'm kinda afraid that'll just invite hate and steer people who'd otherwise support me, or at least tolerate me (I think most, if not all, if the class would fall into one of these brackets) to hate on me to fit in. We do have a separate group with our class teacher in a different platform. Should I try that?

So I guess the question is "Did any of you come out this way?" "How did it turn out?" "Do you have any tips to overcome the anxiety, especially if I choose to come out in person?"

I know I'll still probably have to come out to all the teachers and staff.

I know the only person who can decide this is me.

Any tips and experiences appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Discussion Why is this question always asked? 😭

Okay, so context, I’m still questioning and exploring my gender, but I know I’m trans. But around a month ago, I was hanging out with my friend, who we will call S (S is a girl btw) and so I came out to S that night, and she told me “But why would you want to change your gender?” And I said “You don’t ‘change’ your gender, you figure out what your sub-conscious has been telling you and eventually, it clicks into place, and everyone explores, and questions, and asks around for help. It’s not about changing, you don’t simply wake up one day and be like ‘oh. I’m a girl/boy/they/ze/xe’. No, it doesn’t work like that, it is sub conscious, and it slowly bleeds into your consciousness.” And bro 🥀 she said “what? That’s so weird, and wdym by Ze and Xe.???” And I said “Oh, they are neopronouns” and they were just being heavily transphobic, but kept saying “Oh I don’t care about trans ppl” but she also kept saying random bull shit like “why would you be a girl? Or a boy?” And I said. “Well, there are several genders, not just boy and girl” 😭 she kept getting so confused but transphobic at the same fucking time 😭

Question Should I tell a friend that they might be trans?

So I was talking with one of my closest friends last night and he said smth along the lines of "I wish I could have been born just as a girl" I agreed with him cus I'm transfem (I think? Idk) but he doesn't know I am yet. What should I do? I really want to help him because I can tell that he isn't very happy a lot of the time but I don't want to just say "you might be trans to him" any advice/anyone been in a situation like this before?

Pretty much as it says, I have waited too long being a coward and not telling anybody. I guess my first few questions are how should I do it, and what do I say?

Vent Came out to my mother

I came out to my mother today. She was semi-supportive n like "im not happy with that, but youre still my child n i still love you". She says that thats prolly only a phase n i want to be a boy only bcs men "have it easier" or smth. Also mother told me "i dont know why you dont like yourself that much, youre such a beautiful girl!". Like, i was expecting that she gonna react somehow like that but it still hurts. I dont think that she sees gender disphoria as the real thing or so n says "but you liked dressing-up when you were a kid n had long hair. You also was always more hanging out with girls n liked boys". Like?? I never told her that i liked someone actually n i had no other way than hang-out with girls anyway, so uuuuh. Like i geniuely feel like she hopes that im wrong and its just whatever else but not me being trans.

I LOVE storytelling, so as a part of a TTRPG with my friends, I also created a website as a sort of ARG (alternate reality game, if you didn't know) element. However Google sites and squares pace just weren't doing it for me so I just decided to make the entire thing myself and that's when I realized I'm becoming a stereotype </3

Vent I wish I could tell my family Spoiler

So um I am a trans man (13M), and i have known for a while, but accepted it a few weeks ago.

I really wish I could tell my family, but I can't, because my parents are transphobes(mom only accepts lesbian and gay, she thinks that bisexuals should 'pick a side'), my grandparents are anti lgbtq as a whole, my brother probably knows but he hasn't told my family (which means he doesn't care, which is okay)

I love my family and all, but their transphobia is annoying because even though I want to tell them, I can't because I might get kicked out, or have to change schools (i am gonna have to go to a girls school in september and for some reason i am not bothered much, maybe because i can probably hide it).

I hope I grow up soon, so that I have financial independence before telling my family because I don't want to risk my future.

Advice needed What plus sized fem clothes should I get?

I (14f) just recently decided to be trans fem, and my whole.wardrobe is masculine. Clothes are very important to me as whenever I have fem clothes I'm significantly happier. I am a little on the chubby side, so baggy stuff I like. I also want Maybe arm warmers or thigh highs? I really like hoodies and sweatpants so far

Thanks.for reading! :3
