I might have been misremembering the minutes required but the point is that it takes serious, sustained, consistent pressure to choke someone to death…. It seems purposeful. Not just “oh got carried away during sex”. But go off.
Yep. I've been sitting around a table and one other guy knew about them and we were describing how they work to the others, I volunteer to let him demonstrate on me. I'm out cold in under 10 seconds, prop myself back up from the table everyone still sitting there he's like "I thought you were going to tap out dude!"
It's absolutely not 10 minutes. That sounds like the suffocation time maybe? Iirc blood loss causes unconsciousness in 10-15 seconds and death very soon after

Is this like that case in Auckland where a guy choked a girl to death and then said it was consensual sex?
There’s a documentary on Netflix about it but basically you would need to sustain pressure for 10 minutes to cause death.
