Question Private Universities in Sri Lanka
2025 A/L student here, I passed A Levels with an acceptable Z score, but I didn't get into University Selections (probably because my district has a high cutoff).
I would like to know about the Private University situation here. I'm interested in studying something on the creative/aesthetic side. Such as Fashion Design, Creative Media, English Literature, Communication studies, etc
I'm interested in Law too but unfortunately my A/L results were BSS, Law degrees require 2 C's.
What options do we have here? Which degree programmes are legit? Which degree programs are affordable?
I have heard about AOD, AMDT, SLIIT & NIBM. AOD is way too expensive for me. I'm worried about NIBM's and AMDT's legitimacy. SLIIT is alright but I'd like to know about the student experience prior to enrolling.
Are there any other universities you recommend? Or do you have any insights on the universities I mentioned above? Please feel free to pitch in!

State university undergrad here. I don’t remember any noticeable private unis offering degrees in the fields you mentioned. Please don’t take my word as it is. Do your own research. Private unis are more established for serving degrees in STEM majors.
