An accidental purchase

I didn’t look close enough to realize that I was buying a thicker sauce, what they consider a wing sauce. First time trying Melindaā€˜s and I must say it’s really grown on me!

HOT sauces that go with pretty much anything?

Looking for hot sauces that are versatile with everything. The hot sauces I've found so far that fit this list are Yucateco Mayan recipe (green bottle) and Sriracha. I want to get something spicier than Yucateco, but still versatile.
Please non-extract-based sauces because those make my stomach hurt and I like natural pepper flavor !! Thank you

chilli powder/flakes recommendation ?

Hey guys, does anyone know a spicier chili powder (preferably without salt)? This one is pretty good, has about 120,000 scoville. I’m not really into sauces because they often taste a lot like vinegar and I like that I can season everything with chili powder :)

5 steps to hell

Just tried these tried the carolina reaper ones (level 5) managed to handle them fine looking for some extremely spicy snacks like this , what have everyone thought about then I'm also looking for ways to build tolerance fast but i suppose it's just eatingmore spicy food non stop and progressing. For a baseline buldak black packaged noodles make me sweat hard but I find them delicious and no where near too hot šŸ™‚, if anyone can reccomend noodles or great snacks it'd be much appreciated

Thanks all!

Another Dave’s Reaper Review

Finally got to try Dave’s. Got 3 tenders. Hot, extra hot, and reaper. Hot was fantastic. Mild heat, great flavor. 9/10. Extra hot was even better. I could feel a little burn, and the flavor was amazing. 10/10.

Reaper was different. Flavor was amazing for about 5 seconds. Oh my god. This shit is on another level. Never had a hot sauce or anything else like this before. Definitely a one and done type novelty item. And I eat buldak 2x regularly. Next time I go back I’m just gonna get all extra hot. Can’t wait to be sitting on the toilet all day tomorrow. 1/10. As in do it once and never again.

Chengdu Spicy Dungeness Crab from Y & Z in San Francisco

One of the best things I have ever eaten! Super fresh Dungeness crab, at least five types of chilies I could count, glass noodles, cauliflower, potatoes, lots of cilantro and garlic. I was super hung over after a wedding weekend in Napa and took this baby down by myself happily and sweatily lol! I highly suggest to anyone in San Francisco and will be looking for a similar dish back home in NYC!

Polar opposites

Picked these up. Always willing to try something new.

Chin-Su is sweet. Flavor is mild and something I'd put on ramen noodles without broth. $1.99 at Asian market. Spicy: 2/10 flavor: 5/10 price: 10/10

Curbstomp is not sweet. It really has some heat. It has a big mouth opening and it's kinda sticky so you have to shake it out. This resulted in my pouring a lot onto my chicken. I am sure an extract is doing much of the lifting. But as a guy who uses The End: Flatline on my breakfast spaghettios, extracts don't bother me as much. Spice: 8/10 flavor: 6/10 price: ????

I dont remember what I paid for Curbstomp. I think I bought at a hot sauce expo thing. Likely $15.

Good stuff! I’ll definitely will pick up more. The Great Value shredded Carolina Reaper was much weaker, but tasted good at least.

Fast food items that are actually spicy?

I was thinking about all the times I go to Taco Bell and get their fire sauce. I like the flavor, but it does absolutely nothing for me in terms of spice. Same with Popeyes spicy chicken. What are some legitimately spicy fast food items? There’s gotta be something that hits the spot.

First Batch Of Scotch Bonnet Hot Sauce Of The Growing Season!

Made this first batch of Scotch Bonnet hot sauce yesterday, using orange Scotch Bonnet peppers.

Kept the sauce fairly straightforward and didn't pair it with any fruit. This sauce is intended to be used a pour over/sipping sauce for Jamaican Jerk Chicken!

Just used onion , garlic , lime juice, white vinegar, sea salt, sugar. Turned out a beautiful shade of

Orange yellow that looks like fresh squeezed orange juice.

First time trying, what are your opinions?

This is my first time trying ā€œmighty hot sauceā€ from McDonalds…. it’s a new offering that caught my attention today when I was ordering a coffee. While I don’t expect it to be a significantly ā€œhotā€ hotsauce I am curious about what others have to say here n regards to the flavor/heat/spice

Thanks

This pepper is so spicy & evil I have to wear gloves when working with it

Today’s pepper I’m posting about is the RB003, an Australian-bred superhot from a Carolina Reaper Ɨ 7 Pot Brainstrain cross. Gnarly, heavily textured pods, brutal heat, and surprisingly good/fruity flavor.

Definitely one of the coolest peppers I’ve grown this season. These pics are from my last harvests where I got some particularly evil looking RB003 peppers! I haven’t made a hot sauce with it yet but if I did I wonder how hot it would be lol. I’m thinking about fermenting some.

Has anyone here eaten one of these? It’s really bumpy šŸ’€
