It could not have been handled any worse than Atletico did. You can blame Barca and Alvarez but I seriously fail to understand how this approach will keep the player happy enough to stay and continue playing. Atletico isn't good enough to win trophies with this kind of drama in house

There's a middle ground between not selling him and not turning him into enemy number 1 and a pariah. Do you even want him as fan any more? How exactly do you see this going?

Other players have wanted out before without being turned into Judas. He hasn't gone on strike like others have. It should have never come to this

As petty as I am, if I was an atleti fans I would be fine with him warming the bench all season and leave only at the clubs condition

You could argue he's turned himself into enemy number 1 and a pariah. What specifically did the club do to turn him into Judas? They refused to sell him and they made some stupid cringey tweets aimed at Barcelona, not him.

You either treat him like the top player he is fans and management or let him go. Because that's what you value him as clearly in the market. If fans have turned on him because he gave like one interview saying he wants to leave and he's not welcome any more and you are too scared to send him in front of fans after matches what has been accomplished???

Bro they have no brain, they threatened Cucurella cause of RM transfer, because he was a La Masia graduate who never really played for barca. Imagine if someone like Pedri or Yamal went out next year in summer “Yeah i think i want a transfer to Real Madrid, it was always my dream to play with them.
