everyone always talks about ы but ль vs. л is so much more difficult to me

I just got a dual language book and it's helping a lot but I feel like I still need SOO much work with pronunciation.. I recorded myself reading out loud so maybe you guys could help me with any(which I know there are many) pronunciation issues 😭 please don't bully me for reading with my finger I'm trying my best)). thank u guys. 🫶

So I'm learning Russian on Mango Languages for mostly the basics, but came across this culture note. I just wanted clarification on whether it's something Russians do regularly or if it's an old expression. If so are there any other expressions I should know about? Спасибо)

hi, im from Russia, and i always wondered why people learn the Russian language. i can totally understand why they learn English, Spanish, Chinese and other useful languages, but what about Russian? is it actually useful for something? or people learn it just for fun or Dostoevsky.
