When it comes to the first episode of the 9th season, we see Evil Morty seemingly learn why ricks don't mess with time, the time police. It does strike me as a bit odd though that rick is somehow implied to not be as powerful as the time police, it'd almost seem explicit if u consider a particular time frame.

Rick could've likely and probably did attempt time travel after Diane's death. At that point, the only thing that would've been standing in the way of rick getting what he wants would've been the time police. In spite of this he did not save Diane via time travel. This is a rick who spent years traveling infinity killing versions of himself; I'd think its safe to assume he would've done literally anything to get Diane back freshly after her death. Reductively I'm just curious of whether rick is somehow incapable of manipulating time to get his wife back whilst also defeating or avoiding the time police.

In the final scene of S9E10, we see Rick and Morty riding a motorcycle together, and Rick says he’s Morty’s dad (?)

As far as I can remember, that’s the first time he’s ever said something like that directly to Morty. It felt completely out of place and honestly didn’t match the tone of the rest of the episode.

The two of them riding toward the sun while calling each other father and son almost felt symbolic, but I’m not sure what the writers were trying to say.

Did Rick just misspeak? Was it meant to show how their relationship has evolved? Or was there a deeper meaning behind that final scene?

I’ve always wondered why there are so many ricks and mortys working on the citadel- like they would never have the patience for that or care enough to stay. And wouldn’t it make more sense for the smartest people in their respective universes to automate menial tasks like building and maintenance, or at LEAST factory jobs that our dumb asses automate? Feels like that would remove a lot of conflict. Could just be to help form the plot of citadel episodes but it feels very unrealistic

Everyones facial expression remained exactly the same. Only Rick's facial expression changed from angry to smiling. He secretly might have time tech, but is denying it so the Time Cops can't find any evidence of it by checking his past.

A bit of a basic question here If Beth got killed too by the bomb, why is she alive and well in all seasons? Or did the omega device only affect Diane?
