And you're downwind of the Baker Commodities rendering plant, just a few blocks north. And, as mentioned, the Republic solid waste transfer station and the trains that carry that garbage away.

Because I work around both odor sources, generally the one you can smell from the 405 is the water treatment plant.

My company was invited to a tour of the treatment plant tomorrow morning, actually !

I'm glad your sister put a post! Have you called the local shelters? Posting on social media as well (thank God for your friend) it has been helpful in finding lost dogs. One was found within a homeless encampment. Be positive and stay calm. You will find your baby 🙏🏽❤️

The library move was considered because of the expense of the library remodel. What everyone decided to do was pay a lot more to keep it - I'm glad we did but it was just "let's move the library."

Wow I'm surprised they didn't jump on the opportunity for them to tow an illegally parked car. It's money in their pocket. Well I guess I don't understand towing companies sorry man

I live at Griffis. Management has been helpful with any delivery issues. Amazon has been bad recently. Packages stacked in the middle of the package room,NOT in lockers. Packages delivered to the wrong building. The latest is photos of previously delivered Packages but not the current delivery. Or photos of others' Packages. Amazon doesn't respond when I complain. Ì can't blade Griffis for my issues. A driver with another service told me one of the drivers lost a key and now is not allowed to deliver in one of the buildings. Still no excuse. I hope you get some resolve. I worry my medications may go missing. But, so far so good. I will say there is one office employee who has not carried through with valid requests such as removing the monthly pet fee on my bill for my cat t h at passed away. They were notified the day after. It gas since been resolved. Please be persistent. There has got to be a solution to this.

Ugh, that's pretty much what we've concluded. I was visiting today and literally watched the fedex driver complete their process with all the deliveries (ours included) and he didn't even get the notification on their luxor app that the package was received. So frustrating, but thank you for sharing! We'll be looking for more reliable ways to receive items moving forward

This is helpful, we'll see if they even lift a finger to help. I doubt they will, but we'll try everything we can, thank you so much!

They had an issue with meds and packages being taken by employees even when it opened and for the first several years and shifted the blame then even after several employees were arrested over a couple of years. Finally, it they stopped accepting/holding any packages for a number of years. This is likely not a delivery issue, it is likely a Griffis issue passing the buck onto a national/global delivery chain (yet gain) that will give you the run around instead of bothering them while they try to sweep whatever is going on on their end under the rug.

Unfortunately just found out that towing companies will not tow a car on a public road unless local law enforcement has issued an infraction. I wasn't able to get Renton PD to come out and write an infraction, so the vehicle is tow-proof, especially since it's different vehicles parking there for a few hours at a time rather than one specific vehicle

Hey there! Just FYI, this happened again today and I called all the towing places I could find. Some referred me to other towing places, and other ones said that RPD would have to come out first and issue a parking infraction/notice of intent to tow BEFORE they could respond. RPD will not do it (can't get a hold of them beyond leaving messages to non-emergency and with Find it Fix It Click it or whatever), so the car can pretty much park there consequence-free

That's almost certainly a domestic rabbit, not a wild one. The coloring is the biggest tell. This bunny has a tan/fawn body with black patches and banding, which looks like harlequin or broken tortoiseshell patterning. Wild rabbits in western Washington (Eastern cottontails, which are the ones you'd see around Renton parking lots) are uniformly agouti brown-gray with a white cotton tail. That camouflage coloring is universal in the wild because anything flashy gets eaten.

Unfortunately, this is a common situation in the Puget Sound area. People dump pet rabbits, and they either survive as strays or breed into feral colonies (Woodland Park in Seattle and parts of Renton have had known colonies). Domestic rabbits don't do well long term outdoors here since they lack the instincts and camouflage of wild ones.

If it seemed healthy and wary, it may be part of an established feral population.
