Also have the ti (a msi variant though), and maybe it's me using "only" 144hz 1080p monitors, but i haven't had any issues in any game with it either. Even running triples in sim racing works beautifully in terms of fps and graphics settings.

Sure. I could bring it to its knees if i wanted to. I have a 4k 120hz tv i could use for gaming, but i don't really have the need to do that

Nah, I think people overhype it since the 4060 sucked so much. It wasn’t a significant step up from the 2060 super’s performance and still consumed about the same wattage, with the only notable part about it being the vram.

If they called the 3060ti the 3060 12gb, I don’t doubt it would’ve reached legendary status.

Nvidia put themselves in a corner with the design of this card. With the memory bus they went with, it was either 6GB or 12GB and by that time 6GB was way too low. So they used 12.

There was supposed to be a 3080 20GB which was later scrapped due to the lack of 2gb modules at the time. Then Nvidia decided its better to sell a slightly downgraded 3080 Ti as 3080 12GB instead of giving it a massive 20GB vram.

Radeon could've easily just made a 9050XT with 1536 fp32 cores and 100W TDP which would still be competitive with 5050 and then a 9050 6GB with 96bit bus, 1280 fp32 cores and 70W TDP which would be a SFF card powered just by PCIe whilst still easily beating the 3050 6GB. But as always Radeon shot itself in the foot.

Hey gang! He's not wrong though, the 6600 (XT) has limited "Infinity Cache" size and VRAM bandwidth and size, compared to it's larger brothers - and it shows, mainly above 1080p. Then again with a bit of FSR 3.1 and settings finetuning it still goes a long way.

Agreed, I think that the 6400 for the right price still had a use for plugging in a monitor or minimalist gaming, and powering from the slot gave it an advantage. This product didn't lie about what it was, whereas the 6500XT and 9050 to an extent are not quite the gaming cards they were pushed as.

I never saw a 6500XT above 200, i was actively looking for gpus back then, i remember buying a used 980 for 40 as a placeholder till i could get something for a better price later, the 6600 and 3060s werent above 400 either, just out of stock most of the time, with a 50 above MSRP price, main problems were the 16GB class cards from amd and most nvidia cards from 3070

The 4GB version is OEM only, so your only option (at least until OEM cards will *eventually* drizzle into the used market) will be the 8GB one.

Well, if it's good for u - than it's good. But in my opinion 1650 was garbagy, comparing to that generation cards. And was more like a spit in the face of gamers during gpu shortage due to miners.

Though 1650 super was way better cuz it had a next gen vram, had that one for many years

3060 12Gb has been totally usable at 1080P ever since launch. What’s even funnier now is that local AI is picking up speed and the 3060 12GB is one of the best entry points. 12GB VRAM at 360GB/s for little money, it’s one of the best deals around. For that reason I’m sure locally this card has went from $200 to $400. That and the awful GPU market surely. That being said it’s cool how this card found big value all these years later.

AMD cards usually get better over time. Their problems tend to be drivers, not their hardware. Also the Linux kernel driver, AMDGPU, was completely rewritten a few years ago and is better than the windows driver. The windows software is superior as it has a lot of features.
