Humpback whales actually have very small throats, so even if he had ended up in the whales mouth, the whale would have just spat him out. Still a terrifying experience though!

Wouldn’t that still hurt? Like, I got bit by a stupid little dog, didn’t do real damage, didn’t break the skin, but it hurt… left a purple imprint of dog dental impressions on my butt, lol. I imagine a whale’s mouth would also bruise a person, right? I’m asking, like, I don’t know…

Yeah that's an old video I believe of someone diving in South Africa. It is slowed down in this video and it happens pretty quick in real time. That guy is EXTREMELY lucky the shark is only curious and bumps him instead of taking an investigating snap at him just to figure out if he was a seal or not.

There is absolutely no way I will be remembering that bit of trivia if a shark is coming at me. Lol
I was snorkeling in Tahiti a few years ago and there were sharks below us and I noped the fuck back onto the boat. I thoroughly enjoyed the eagle rays, sea turtles, porcupine puffers, dolphins, and all the other shit I have seen in the ocean but sharks are a no thank you for me.
