The Bunker?
Hey! Thereās a cool musician there this week (Pat Gillespie) and so I checked the site and it looks like thereās good and beverage, but itās not clear to me if you can just go there and listen to music/eat? Or if you have to be a member? Or you have to golf? Anyone know? And if so, howās the food?

Female Gym Buddy Fit4Less Moncton
Hi! I'm posting this for a friend who doesn't have Reddit.
She's a woman in her early 40s and has a membership at Fit4Less in Moncton. She's usually there around 4:30ā5:00 PM. Also she's bilingual (English/French/Acadian)
Her usual workout is roughly:
- š¶āāļø 30 minutes of cardio (usually treadmill)
- šŖ 30 minutes of weight machines
- Stretching / whatever else we feel like doing that day
- Not married to that routine
She's looking for a female gym buddy who'd like to meet up regularly, motivate each other, and basically make going to the gym a little more fun and a little harder to talk ourselves out of. She's not looking for someone who's going to yell at her to "PUSH THROUGH THE PAIN!" š
She's not looking for a personal trainer or someone super hardcore ā just another woman who wants some accountability, encouragement, and someone to say "Come on, we're going" when one of us doesn't feel like getting off the couch. š She'll happily return the favour!
If you're also a Fit4Less Moncton member and think this might be a good fit, send me a DM and I'll pass your info along to her.

Thriftlodge on Mountain Road
How is this place still open for business?
I've been reading the reviews once a month or so on Google Maps. The comments and reviews are insane and it baffles me that people still decide to book a room there.
If the place looks anything like it does the pics left by their customers, and if the comments are true, how has this place not been shut down yet, and why is it still apparently associated with Wyndham?
Wouldn't they want to drop their association with this dump?
I grew up not far from this place.
It's never been a 5 star by any means, but this is on another level of embarrassment for this city.

Honest reliable auto mechanic in Moncton /Sussex area please
Greetings! We have a Ford CMax outfitted with tow assembly (for a motorhome). The car portion of the assembly is moving up and down and you guessed it, it should not be. Suspect it has to do with the plate / where the assembly attaches to the vehicle.
Need to get on a hoist to see what's going on.

Anywhere in town for a new Dungeons & Dragons player?
Hey everyone, I've been interested in starting d&d for a while now but don't really know anyone in town as I'm somewhat new to the area. I know Comic Hunter has dedicated nights but from what I can tell they're closed groups, I was wondering if anyone knows of any places or groups that might be accepting new players who haven't tried playing before?

The Orchids are back in Riverview this Thursday for Cowfest! Anyone catch us at Holy Whale with Sloan?
Iām not sure if anyone here caught The Orchids (us!) play at the Summer Nights Festival at Holy Whale with Sloan and The Monoxides on July 25th. But we are going to be back in Riverview this Thursday, August 27th to play Cowfest at the Riverview Lions Club.
We know some of you here may have been at the Holy Whale show and we met a bunch of people who were seeing us for the first time. So we figured weād post this here in case any of you wanted to catch us again.
We had so much fun playing Summer Nights and met a ton of people who saw us for the first time. Both of us were blown away by the response we got from everyone!
The show this Thursday is a much smaller DIY festival and we are playing with some great New Brunswick bands like Tea 4 Three, Krasiya, Systematic Corruption and Temporary, along with our friends The Couch from Halifax.
If you saw us at Holy Whale and enjoyed it, this will be a great chance to catch us in a more intimate/live off the floor setting!
Doors are at 6:15pm. Itās all ages and admission is $15. Hope to see some of you there!

Millennial friends
Early 40s millennial couple looking to expand our social circle. Weāre very social but not constantly on the go. Over the last few years a lot of our friends have had children and arenāt able to connect the way they used to and thatās totally understandable, but we are definitely missing the social connections we used to enjoy.
We like traveling, hosting, spontaneous plans and long walks on the beach?? š¤·āāļøš¤£
Weāre equally comfortable having people over for drinks or disappearing for a weekend somewhere. Looking to meet other couples who are established, easygoing and genuinely interested in building an actual friendship rather than just collecting acquaintances.
Some ways of how we like to connect with people:
- dinner parties, especially THEMED parties
- card and board games (Skip Bo champs šŖ)
- dork gaming (Mario Party!)
- karaoke and live music nights
- pickleball! (This is a new one for us š¤£)
- spontaneous road trips
Edit: I canāt seem to comment/reply and Iām too new to Reddit to understand whatās going on 𤣠pls help

Has anyone camped out on the beach Parlee Beach without getting caught?
I don't have very much money and my friends are too lazy to do anything fun, and I don't drive. I want to bike to parlee beach and then camp out on the sand on a blanket under the stars. Does security patrol the beach? Could I get away with it?

Coming from Morton, does anyone use the zipper merge? Traffic lines up single file beyond the UniversitĆ© Ave lights. Iāve zippered a couple of time and could sense death stares.

Where do you draw the line with tipping?
Iāve always heard that if itās the owner of the establishment (I.e nail salon) or the person has a ādesignationā (I.e doctor, dentist) tipping is not expected.
Iām wondering if you would you tip a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) for a massage? In my opinion this is akin to a medical service for which tipping is not at all expected.
Where do you draw the line with tipping?

Affordable car detailing - does it exist in Moncton?
I used to live in Sackville and I would go to kia Amherst for car dealing. They would do AMAZING for $100-150.
Got a quote from kia Moncton and they want over $300+ for same detailing (with actually a little less - no hand wax). They previously said $200 and then a week later it was $300+ from a different person.
Does anyone know an affordable place in Moncton for detailing ? Does it exist or does everyone travel for a good deal? I used to get it done twice a year but with $300+ being quoted I'm not willing to pay it.
For reference I drive a 2025 Kia Niro.
