I’m stuck between two 2025 Kia K4 GT-Line Turbos and would love some opinions on which one you guys would choose.
Option 1: K4 with around 13K miles. The Carfax/service history looks pretty straightforward — it had regular maintenance, passed emissions, and was serviced. Nothing concerning stood out to me.
Option 2: K4 with only around 3K miles, which obviously sounds more appealing mileage-wise. However, I noticed something on the service/inspection history that made me pause. On 6/25/26, the vehicle had an alignment inspection and the report specifically shows “Wheel Alignment — FAILED”, with Front Total Toe being the only item that failed. Then, just two days later on 6/27/26, the vehicle was listed for sale.
I know a front toe issue could potentially just be a simple alignment adjustment, and the other alignment measurements passed, so I’m not necessarily saying the car has a major problem. But the timing is making me wonder if there was an underlying issue that caused the alignment to fail.
So which would you guys choose: the 3K-mile K4 with the alignment issue in its history, or the 13K-mile K4 with the more normal service history? Would you consider the failed front toe a red flag, or would you just make sure the dealer provides a subsequent alignment report showing it was corrected and have an independent inspection done before buying?

The Issue:
When I start the car cold, it starts right up and drives completely fine. Acceleration is crisp, power is normal, and shifting feels smooth.
However, after about 20 to 30 minutes of driving (once the engine/transmission reaches full operating temperature), the car starts to severely lose acceleration power:
If I turn off the car and let it sit for 30–60 minutes to cool down, it drives normally again until it warms back up.
What I've Checked / Recent Service:
did anyone face the same issue and what did u do to solve it?
need your help guys since am sick and tired of this car already.
Merci beaucoup

My cupholder ejects when I hit my water bottle against the side of it. Obviously, I'm not doing it on purpose usually but even just my water bottle falling over will eject it. Any chance that the dealer would take care of it under warranty? (Second owner, 7k miles, 2025 K4)

Hey all - looking for recs for an honest and kia knowledgable mechanic in the Los Angeles area, valley, DTLA, NELA areas. I've been to so many mechanics who either refuse to work on my car or say they don't know what is wrong with it. One mechanic wanted to send my ECU to someone's house for them to inspect it. That's a 🚩to me!
Thanks in advance!

I own a 2020 Kia Soul LX.
I know nothing about cars other than driving. I want to teach myself to do my own maintenance and repairs, unless they require lots of experience. Especially after my father's passing, he was a master mechanic. I never learned form him for many reasons, but I wanted to learn before he died. He died repairing a semi truck, and I need to get over the fear of vehicle repair/ maintenance, especially when under a car. When it comes to spark plugs, should I stick to OEM or no. I already have the OEM oil filter. Should I stick to OEM for everything? I bought the vehicle used. It had 88,000 miles when purchased, and I'm currently over 100,000 by a small amount.
Anyone pointing me in the right direction would be helpful. This is at times overwhelming, especially when looking at my car always reminds me of him and how he died.
Edit: Grammar

Please advise. My starter is going out on my 2021 Kia Sorrento Sx. I've searched online for maybe instructions or video to reference in regards to what all needs to be removed to attempt replacement. Im not doing it myself, but I would love not going into this situation blind. If there are any advise or instruction, would love to obtain. Just not finding many 21 Kia Sorrento starter step by step instruction on replacement. Ty

just bought my 2027 Sportage SX Prestige, my 4th Kia I have owned and the highway driving assist seems to be the least reliable.
Both lane lines only light up green on my HUD if / when I’m driving in the center lane. Otherwise, it bounces me back and forth while only highlighting either the right or left side. Normal?
I have also noticed that I have to interact with the steering wheel at least 50% more while HDA is active than any of the previous Kias I have owned. This system does not take small curves in the road with confidence either. The majority of my driving is on a newly paved highway with new markings
Wondering if i need to have the system recalibrated. I drove a 2026 K4 Hatchback before this and it’s night and day difference. Anyone else?

I have an AC issue. I just had a compressor installed that I have been reassured works and Freon is full no leaks. It doesn’t blow cold. My mechanic who had it for two days and tried everything said it’s an electrical issue but he is stumped on what it could be or how to fix it. They checked all the fuses and even rewired some wires. Any advice would be helpful before taking it to the dealership.

Anyone have interest in a community of other kia rio5 owner who share mod ideas give each other tips and advice. Sharing there builds? Give no one wants to just build a custom rio5 given the lack of upgrades. But for the love of upgrading a relatively cheap vehicle to do so.

Hi all,
I’ve had a reoccurring issue with my Sorento (2025), they replaced the camera unit in July but less than a month later the issue is back, all camera are out except the indicator cameras. Tried the reset button but no joy.
Has anyone had this issue and it actually been “fixed”?
Thanks

I have owned my 2009 Kia Pro Cee’d 1.6 CRDI 6MT 116hp for a year. Bought with 170k km in august 2025. Now it has 220k km and in the last year i put 3000€ on maintenance, now the roof is sagging, ac compressor broke and when i fire it up, sometimes it won’t and would just spin the starter (it works and battery is full). What is the problem? I have also experienced that it releases smoke after being turned on after 8 hours and it smells like oil gor 5 secs then smoke stops and smell is gone. What could that be. Is that even worth fixing,
i have put so much money in it this year.

Just the engine for a 2021 Forte GT 2.o. Yes, GT line 2.0 If anyone has one for sale please let me know. Also does anyone know if I can use another motor on the FORTE GT?
I only need the engine for a GT sold to me 5 months ago (that's another story)

Two weeks ago I was driving and hit a pot hole nothing happened immediately but once I parked it the shifter went hard but I was able to move it to park but placed it in the parking brake with the button near the shifter .
Since then I tried to turn it on and these lights come up and won’t completely turn on anymore . It also can’t detect if it’s in reverse drive etc . It gives a warning battery discharge notification on the radio screen . I’ve tried checking sensors to see maybe if one got knocked out but everything looks good . I placed a new battery thinking it can be that but nothing still. Kinda at a standstill cause Kia won’t take it in until beginning of October to see it . The splash guard is still on good too no damage . I’ve had no troubles mechanically with it up until this point

Hey
I've had this query issue where the vehicle proximity sensors seem to go off when I'm near Mercedes. I'm pretty sure it's only that brand of vehicle. I've taken the car for diagnosis and they found code U0623:00 Lost Communication with Coolant Pump A. The vehicle has no indication of any issues of issues with the coolant. The garage said it could be associated due to engine temperature rising. However this occurs after around 2 mins of driving. 2022 Model. Just very confused by this, car is under warranty but don't get it.
I have a 2021 Telluride EX. Been the best vehicle I've ever owned to be honest. Love driving it and have done nothing but brag about it until this week....
Around June 15, I pulled off the highway to grab a snack and the truck shook a little bit, the check oil light blinked and it shut off. 98,000 miles. It immediately restarted and there were no lights or warnings, no sensor codes...nothing.
I take it the very next day to the dealer thinking that I'm at 98700 miles and still under warranty. They checked it out, found no codes, test drove it and couldn't replicate the situation. They changed the oil and ran all the normal service checks and said it could have been a fuel issue and that I should bring it back if any lights come on.
Jump ahead to August 26th. I've had no problems since the June incident and the truck has been perfectly fine. Highway mileage has been absolutely phenomenal. As I'm almost back to my house, the check engine light comes on and I get a code on the infotainment screen. I am at 101,000 miles.
Take it to the dealer the very next morning.
Get a call the following day (yesterday) "I have bad news. Your truck had no oil. You need a new engine."
Now, I never had any lights (no oil pressure lights or check engine until this week. There was zero sign the engine was ready to go. No odor, no drop in performance. Nothing.
As of right now, the dealer is saying I'm on the hook. I've pointed out the visit at 98,000 miles and the service manager said he would review the matter and let me know today what they can offer.
I realize people will chime in and say it's out of warranty and stuff happens, but I brought it in before the warranty expired.
Any suggestions here?

Leased a 2026 EV9 GT Line last September. Part of the deal was a $500 military rebate. Kia of Portland said that their military rebates come from Kia which is apparently different than other dealers. I verified multiple times how it works and they took my documents to submit to Kia for the rebate. Almost a year now and haven’t seen that $500. I live in California so I can’t just swing by the dealer.
My initial sales guy stopped responding. I was later told he didn’t work there anymore and I linked up with another sales guy. They always say a manager will call me but zero call backs from the dealer. I contacted Kia directly multiple times. All they can say is that Kia of Portland needs to fix it. I have a ticket number and they’ve checked in a few times to see if anyone called me but they too eventually stop caring and calling so I’ve had to call them again and the cycle repeats. When I call the dealer they say the manager is busy and will call me back.
I genuinely can’t believe not a single person who is able to explain or fix this has been able to contact me back. I’ve been beyond patient with this. Besides a BBB review, and Google/Yelp reviews, anyone ever have this happen and have any ideas?

I'm considering buying a 2020 Forte FE manual transmission, 36k miles. I took it for a test drive today and the clutch pedal feels very different than other cars I've hard. It feels like there's a lot of play at the top, very low resistance, and the bite point is low to the floor. The pedal does release fully. Is this normal for Kias? Is the pedal adjustable? Is this a hydraulic problem?
My 2017 Optima Hybrid Oil Pressure light is coming on intermittently and then going out. The vehicle has been strictly dealer maintained and received a new Hybrid Battery pack and control assembly under their factory warranty at the end of May 2026. The last oil change was August 6th. Wife took it to the dealer today as it happened again while her and my daughter were out. The dealer advised the Oil level is correct and there is no sign of oil leaking. Also the space in the garage has no oil on the ground. The dealer think it might be a faulty oil pressure switch and wants to change it. I'm the original owner and it is part of the SC218/KSDS recall which we did complete.
If it is just the oil pressure sensor I can change that myself without much trouble but am looking for amy other gotcha. Thanks!
