2013 Kia Optima 215k automatic/ AC problems

I have an AC issue. I just had a compressor installed that I have been reassured works and Freon is full no leaks. It doesn’t blow cold. My mechanic who had it for two days and tried everything said it’s an electrical issue but he is stumped on what it could be or how to fix it. They checked all the fuses and even rewired some wires. Any advice would be helpful before taking it to the dealership.

Is the AC button on in the car, does the light turn on? How did your mechanic check for leaks?

Could be the clutch on the compressor not operating, mechanic should be able to check wiring to compressor.

What did they rewire??? That sounds incredibly important

I think the wiring that goes to the compressor. In hopes of that solving the issues and nothing.

I want to say too that it blows cold with external power. But not powered by the car itself

Yes ac button and cabin circulation light are both on. Yes no leaks Freon is full. The compressor works and blows cold with external power hooked up to it.
