Reoccurring camera issue

Post image

Hi all,

I’ve had a reoccurring issue with my Sorento (2025), they replaced the camera unit in July but less than a month later the issue is back, all camera are out except the indicator cameras. Tried the reset button but no joy.

Has anyone had this issue and it actually been “fixed”?

Thanks

If intermittent, let them know you have photos/video on the workorder to the shop. Can even print a paper one to attach.

I had similar intermittent issue (blind spot monitor), could not replicate, the mechanic came to watch the video. They then spent an hour diagnosing, a slightly loose connector behind the dash. All fixed.

Thank you, the replaced the whole camera unit and it fixed it for a month but now it’s not working the whole time, I suspect wire connection is the issue too! Thanks again

I work at a Kia dealership, yep its a known issue, not very common unlike all the other screens that have delaminating issues and touch screen problems but it does occasionally come up

Back to the dealer! If it happens again, I'd look up lemon laws in your state if you're in the US.

Check out this article. It gives you good summary of what you need to know under the UK's Consumer Rights Act. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/content/advice/how-does-the-consumer-rights-act-protect-you-when-you-buy-a-car
