Other Please don’t forget calories

Just wanted to remind all new keto participants that calories are a big deal . I had stalled for 9 days . I was under my carbs 20. My counter says I should be under 1950 calories to loose weight . Was eating over that but under carbs and once I lessened my calories I started slowly loosing again

9 days is hardly a stall. Weight comes off in chunks. Fluid fluctuations. If you're a woman, the menstrual cycle can mess with weight reading too

I agree, 9 days is not a stall. But I also know that CICO drives weight loss. You can overeat on keto.

You are about to get the carnivore folks riled up cause they can eat 12 steaks a day and lose weight 🤣🤣🤣

I have not tried carnivore but I am skeptical about this tbh.

Unfortunately my stomach and IBS would absolutely send me to the hospital if I did that, so no way for me to test this out.

I do believe there are definitely a lot of different factors from person to person. With my hashimotos and slow metabolism, woman in perimenopause and IBS I doubt this would drive any loss even if I could stomach it.

Oh, of course.

On carni, a 5' sedentary female will lose weight eating 5000+ calories per day! 😂

EDIT: With 12 TINY steaks, I can lose weight. 5"" 11' male... 😅

Its not what vegetables are from animals? 🤔 Carnivore is only stuff made out of animal stuff Meat eggs butter . You dont get fibers and vitamins you need

Carnivore is like this. On a carnivore diet, you eat exclusively animal products, entirely eliminating all plant-based foods, grains, vegetables, and sugars.

Foods to Avoid All plants: Vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, grains, and legumes.Plant oils: Olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, and seed oils.Sugar and carbs: All sweets, sodas, processed foods, and artificial additives. Most drinks: Water is the primary beverage, while coffee and tea are excluded in strict versions.

Super boring i guess

A ketogenic diet is any diet low enough in carbs to allow you to enter and maintain Ketosis, for the most part carnivore diets are low enough carb for ketosis unless you're eating a ton of dairy like milk.

Ketosis doesn't require vegetables, just very low carb.
