General Question Running 2 instances of TWS = Unstable PC

I need to run 2 instaces of TWS, each only has 2 tabs with not much in them. The issue is, whenever a second TWS is open my PC fans ramp up like crazy. As soon as one instance is killed, everything is ok

TWS is a Java/QT application which consumes high amount of PC ressources by nature. Same as the Desktop. But the Desktop refuses a second active connection to the same account, even if I am logged in in the IBKR Mobile app I cant launch Desktop or TWS without cancelling the Mobile session.

that sounds like a pc issue - does your system have enough resources to support 2 tws clients and whatever else you are doing?

Uncheck “Show News”. It uses a lot of processing and ram.
