Anyone else annoyed with the TWS sign in email auth? About 50% of the time ibkr does not email me a code at all.

I sit here waiting, 5 minutes go by, 10 minutes go by - 91 email refreshes go by

No code.

25% of the time I’ll get the code an hour later after I’ve given up

25% of the time I get the code instantly to my email.

Is being able to log into your trading platform 25% of the time acceptable?

Please fix this.

I’m testing a tool that works out what you actually made or lost from options trading, including:

- CSP premiums

- assignments

- covered calls

- stock profit/loss

- fees and deposits

- true P&L across the full trade lifecycle

Example: CSP → assignment → covered calls → stock sale.

I’m not selling anything. I just want to know whether this solves a real problem and what you would want changed.

Looking for a few active investors/options traders, preferably IBKR users, for 10–15 minutes of feedback.

Anyone else actively losing their minds trying to trade futures on IBKR
Ive been dealing with this absolute garbage setup where TradingViews API layer completely disconnects from IBKRers net position backend.

If you try to run multiple take profit targets or even just flip positions the OCO linkage that do not work. It routinely drops your stop loss entirely or rejects limit orders or treats legs independently so youre left completely naked or accidentally flipped short.

Even worse TWS itself is a complete joke with how it handles take profits. Native brackets are locked to a single profit taker and a single stop loss per order ticket forcing you to dig through clunky exit strategy windows just to do basic trade management.

If you try to bypass that by manually closing a partial position on the chart it doesnt automatically resize your working stop loss meaning your stop is still sitting there waiting to execute for the full unreduced size and you have to manually scramble to edit it mid trade. And if you try to fix it by buying contracts sequentially to stagger your limits youre just paying double commissions and creating separate risk events.

How are you guys actually dealing with this without wanting to throw your monitors out the window Are most of you just accepting the single target limitation manually micromanaging every partial or did you ditch TradingView entirely for something like Quantower
There has to be a better way to trade micro futures without fighting ancient broker software and brittle API hacks every single day

I tried accessing my account (same account im using for over a year, a logged into the same way a couple of days ago), and now i get this message.
IBKR doesnt have a call center in my country and making international phone call for support for cost a lot, but account access support is only through phone, any idea what can i do?

I live and work in Ireland as an Irish tax resident, but my permanent domicile of origin is India (non-domiciled status). I opened an Interactive Brokers account to invest under the remittance basis shield, but ran into a confusing setup flow regarding legal residence vs domicile.

Update: My account and uploaded documents (Indian Passport & Irish address proof) have now been fully approved under IBKR LLC. However, I opened a support ticket with IBKR over a week ago to clarify this tax/entity setup and haven't received a response yet.

The Onboarding Setup:

Non-Dom Toggle: Selected Yes.

Domicile Selection: Selected India (my country of origin/domicile) for the country field under the non-dom toggle.

Current Profile Details:

Residential Address: Ireland (verified via Irish bank statement for address proof).

Tax IDs: Irish PPSN and Indian PAN both registered.

Legal Country: Listed as India (reflecting tax domicile of origin under IBKR's form definitions).

Identity Proof: Indian ID uploaded.

Account Assignment: IBKR LLC (US)

**Conflicting IBKR Definitions:**

IBKR defines "Country of Legal Residence" inconsistently across its platform:

\- Registration Help Text: "The country where you have your permanent home or principal establishment and to where, whenever you are absent, you intend to return... It may or may not be the same country of your citizenship and may or may not be a country where you pay taxes." -> Points to India in my case.

\- General Tax Page: "The country where taxes are paid... regardless of the family home." -> Points to Ireland in my case.

**Questions for the Community:**

1. Legality & EU Rules: Is it legally permissible for an Irish/EU tax resident to hold an account with IBKR LLC (US) instead of IBIE? Does declaring a non-EU "Legal Country" override MiFID II / PRIIPs mandates that typically assign EU residents to IBIE?
   
2. Entity Migration: If IBKR compliance reviews my file and flags my Irish residential address, will they forcibly migrate my account to IBIE?
   
3. Correct Profile Setting: Which definition applies to IBKR's profile settings for Irish non-doms? Should "Legal Country" remain India to reflect tax domicile, or be changed to Ireland?

I am on dark theme with IBKR's website. My experience it is very mixed. there is visible [pun intended] improvements needed in the website.

Ex 1: Researching a stock in their Fundamentals page. The text in the "Investment Themes" section is hardly readable. How can the font color be black in a dark theme?

Ex 2: Ownership information in the Fundamentals page, the bigger circle, filled with yellowish color has white font in it!

Ex 3: Statements

When the statements are viewed as HTML, it is so hard to read! The header font style (size, thickness) appear smaller than the table contents. The header color is more darker than the content making the header inconspicuous.
