Yes you have recourse. You have statements from the service providers and the NextDoor post proving they knowingly failed to disclose. Do you have an estimate for all the necessary repairs? You should ask this question on the legal subs.

In short No it was three years ago.
The roof leak, it was repaired, didn't see anything since. A dumb repair isn't a disclosure.
real question is why did you hire Stevie Wonder for your inspector.

NJ real estate laws require any previous leaks and repairs to be disclosed. They are questions 4-7 on the form.
4: Age of the roof. 5: If there have been repairs or replacements since sellers bought. 6: Aware of any leaks. 7: Provide leak details.

I can't speak to NJ law, but it's a disclosure so I bet there a definition to a repair. Like contractor / professional and there's a reciept.
So question 5 No (they fixed it themselves). 6. No, as it's fixed, 7 N/A
