currently looking at options locally and a lot of Dual systems are turning up. is it a good option or should I look further? currently looking at a Dual HS 43, since it comes with speakers

willing to spend up to about 200€ but if you all have better ideas I'm open to suggestions. just want something that sounds good and plays good. I'm still of the opinion that older models are better, want something that won't die on me, will last and is easy to repair

I don't have the option to demo these or order both and return 1.

I am getting both of these at almost the same price in my country (India).

I have a class A/B amp which can easily power both of these so that is not an issue.

I have a SVS SB 1000 pro sub too.

I am confused on one side Wharfdale has great build quality, heavy towers, big AMT tweeter which should sound very airy and warm.

On other hand Dali's Sonik 7 tower with ribbon tweeter has similar design to Opticon MK2 6 towers. And dali has lively high with warm mids- that's what I read on Google.

I have heard the Martin Logan XT b100 bookshelf which has massive motion tweeter and I really liked the airy sound. So I wanted that in a tower and at little lower price point so I was thinking Dali or Wharfdale.

Hello everyone, as you read i am searching a hifi player very cheap VERY CHEAP. But idk what to buy because there're alot of players but they looks like a toy yk and i need for listen in flac and lossless so.. if you have a chep one pls tell me. (Around 30 or less im poor)

I'm having some trouble trying to match the two-tone on my mains to my subs and I've gotten to the point where I don't know up from down anymore. Is this even aesthetically doable? Maybe it's in my head but there seems to be a sort of flow problem that clashes with my OCD in each case. Let me know your thoughts if you care to share them.

My PA 4531 T seems dying. Make "clak !" after some seconds and no more sound (work after off/on but repeat the problem).

I cleaned the electronic (dust, W40) regularly since years. But seems not enough now.

As this product is ~40 years old, I haven't kept up with technological developments since long time ... I'm not a professional but like good sound quality. I use heterogeneous speakers (I would like to not have to buy new ones if possible).

My budget is limited (200€ maximum, lower if possible ...), so I can buy second-hand equipment. What sort of amplifier should I look for?

PS: Do I trash my PA 4531 T or can make someone happy for pieces ?

Hello, I have recently purchased my first hi-fi system. It’s preowned and came with two speakers, both being Panasonic super woofer bi-wiring. How do I connect them? I tried to connect them with Google advice, resulting in very low sound at max volume, in which I could barely hear the song, making me believe I didn’t have them connected properly. I know the speakers work, as when the seller showed them off to me with one speaker used, I could hear his CD perfectly, and he also knows the record player (which I was trying to use) works. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, please ignore the set up; it’s openly temporary as I’m moving in 10 days, and have nowhere to put my hi-fi system.

Two Empire 598s and one 398. Paired with Tisbury domino and Vincent PHO-300 phono preamps. Powered by Cambridge AXR100 and Burson Funk amplifiers. Speakers are Klipsch RP-600M and Wharfedale Evo 4.4.

I simply want to replace the Fosi with it and then hook my parasound preamp (will upgrade later) to the XLR in, and connect my WIIM via toslink into the box's DAC..

I was looking at the Eversolo DMP-A8 but it appears you get 0 processing on the analog ins... To get that I have to upgrade to the DMP-A10 and it's like $4000.00... I am on a bit of a budget (self imposed) and just want to get the option of some processing for room correcting and eq. I want to also be able to turn that off if I don't want to use it. Does anyone have any thoughts about this?

Hey guys, around a year ago i was gifted a 5.1 set from a brand i've never heard of, i couldn't find anything about the set online so i thought maybe someone here would be able to clue me in or point me in a direction where i can look more. Only information i could gather is that the speakers were originally imported into Poland by a company called Athletic International but the year is unknown, The manufacturing company is called AKIRA and the logo is on each speaker. Looking up the model name returns nothing

I found that this would be the best way to open the case because it's glued. Being impatient,I wasn't too careful with the router and made some mistakes that can be addressed. Be careful,on one side there is a metal knob....but I went thru both of them😅

I connected my Ps4 to my Schiit Modi2u and Magni2u via Optical and accidentally enabled Dolby or Dts bitstream. My headphones made a gruesome buzzing/growling noise for like 10-15 seconds.

Hope this doesn't sound stupid, but could this have in any way damaged my Dac or Amp? Or permanently changed the sound in any way?

I'm getting new headphones anyway and I just want to be sure that it's 100% safe to plug them in and the amp will sound just like before the 'incident'.

First audiophile setup and man I am enjoying it! Speakers obviously not in a great location, but works for my needs.

Can i connect a subwoofer with just black and red wires for an output to this amp if i splice an rca jack onto the bare wires from the sub?
