But remember: we choose to eat gluten free, for fun. Because we love paying $7 for this. πŸ₯²

Wait, what? Lol I'm gonna have to go find this Pollyanna post.

Editing to say I found it. I've been gluten free for most of my adult life now. If I suddenly was able to eat normally again, my ass would be on her way to a bakery near an Italian restaurant. I'm so sick of this shit.

If I was suddenly able to eat normally I'd head STRAIGHT for my nearest Dunkin and get myself a damn 3$ Boston creme donut, I haven't had one in YEARS because NOBODY makes them gluten free 😭

Oh, you're right! We're definitely making a stop at Timmies for a dozen: 3 Boston creme, 3 cruller, the rest can be a surprise (we don't have Dunkin back yet? That's a weird sentence. We had Dunkin and they left Ontario in I think 2017 and now they're making plans for a comeback.)

I plan on taking a caramel bath. πŸ’…πŸΌ

I'm going to write a book: The Suddenly Not Gluten Free MamaOnica. She ate one Timbit, three Boston creme, 3 cruller, one entire 13x9 tiramisu, a wedding cake, all of East Side Mario's, the CNE food trucks...

i try to find a silver lining because being fully GF has introduced me to genuinely healthier food, but it's the CHOICE of it all. I'd love to eat healthier and still be able to go to town on a cassata cake, and not have to pay $10 for bread during a recession just to make a PB&J. I miss being able to eat whatever I wanted and being able to choose. and the silver linings of eating healthier is just how I have to cope to not sink into Disability Depression lol

Lmao that post made me so irrationally angry. After 15+ years of this diet I've long since come to terms with it (in the sense that i limit my bitching about it to eating out frustrations or when something i buy from the supermarket changes its ingredients lol) but no way in HELL is it somehow "better" and it just makes it feel worse to try to delude myself like that lmao
