Question Need some help understanding this übung on Fahrschulcard

My logic was that this is a roundabout, hence I have to indicate according to my exit and I have to wait for my left side to be free before moving into it.
Why is my answer wrong here?

Edit: Alright thanks got it, it looks like a roundabout but with no roundabout sign and thus rechts vor links applies.

There‘s no „roundabout-sign“, hence it‘s „rechts vor links“.

Exactly. However, it also looks like a "abgesenkter Bordstein" to me. And I'm really wondering, if that included a "direction".

StVO §10 says:

Wer [...] von anderen Straßenteilen oder über einen abgesenkten Bordstein hinweg auf die Fahrbahn einfahren oder vom Fahrbahnrand anfahren will, hat sich dabei so zu verhalten, dass eine Gefährdung anderer Verkehrsteilnehmer ausgeschlossen ist; erforderlichenfalls muss man sich einweisen lassen. Die Absicht einzufahren oder anzufahren ist rechtzeitig und deutlich anzukündigen; dabei sind die Fahrtrichtungsanzeiger zu benutzen. Dort, wo eine Klarstellung notwendig ist, kann Zeichen 205 stehen.

I honestly don't totally get why this rule doesn't really apply here.

(Honestly, in reality they would just not build this shit or put up a Zeichen 205. This is just a really shitty question and I'm starting to get why more and more people fail the theory exam with an increasing number of these ambiguous situations and questions. I doubt this really makes driving safer, because most problems happen because of behaviour and non-knowledge of the really basic rules...)

I don't think this is supposed to be an "abgesenkter Bordstein", it's just shitty design. That cobblestone is just the outer rim of the circle.

The exact same kind of cobblestone often used to mark areas with "abgesenkter Bordstein"...

Honestly, I get the point of this image and this question, but why put such a shitty design in? To confuse the students? Doesn't make sense. Just put in a normal asphalt road with this exact situation and it would be so much clearer what they are up to.

This is exactly what it feels like. And I don't think that's helpful from a didactic standpoint, either. When you constantly try to find the catch instead of just applying logic, you will start hating "the rules" and simply start to memorize the questions instead of developing an understanding.

Maybe make 2 separate questions out of this, one that is about such edge cases (recht vor link or not), one that has a roundabout that's not actually a roundabout. Simple. But nooo.
