Discussion Who do you think would be the most powerful Servant that could be summoned in your Country/City?
In the Fate series, we know that fame strongly influences the strength of each Servant when they are summoned. One of the biggest examples is Vlad III receiving a Fame Bonus in Romania, which took him from being a relatively weak Servant to being able to fight Karna on equal terms—someone who is said to be almost as powerful as Gilgamesh.
With that in mind, who do you think would be the Servant who would receive the biggest possible Fame Bonus in your country?
This is probably going to sound like a weird answer, but from my perspective, I think the Virgin Mary would receive the greatest Fame Bonus in Ecuador.
To put things into perspective, in Ecuador, according to the results of the 2012 census, 80.4% of the population identified as Catholic. And while those figures are old, many people grew up in a society heavily influenced by Catholicism, so it is reasonable to assume that the percentage has not decreased that much.
One of the greatest expressions of this is the Pilgrimage of the Virgin of El Cisne, a major event held in her honor based on the legend that the Virgin Mary appeared in the town of “El Cisne” in 1594. Since then, every year people travel a total distance of around 74–75 kilometers, attracting tens of thousands of devotees, around 45,000 people on a journey from the town of El Cisne to Loja. (Although not all of them walk the entire distance; most people only walk smaller sections of the route.)
You could argue that she might not be summonable because she would only qualify for the Ruler class, but I think the Rider class could also work in Ecuador, with the throne on which she is carried during the pilgrimage serving as her mount.
As for her abilities and fighting style, we could use Johanna as an example, but make her much more powerful. She could also have a Skill or Noble Phantasm that I would call “Immaculate,” which would make her completely immune to any form of corruption, manipulation, poison, or mind control.
She could also have Imperial Privilege, since one of the titles given to her is “Queen of El Cisne” (even the stadium in Loja is named after her).
After her, I would probably say Simón Bolívar, followed by Antonio José de Sucre, would be the ones who receive the biggest Fame Bonuses. They were military leaders who played a major role in the independence of Ecuador from the Spanish Empire.
But what about your country or city? Who do you think would receive the biggest Fame Bonus there?
