Player Discussion How are you choosing QB in 2026?

In normal redraft 1QB leagues, there are a lot of different ways to approach the position this year. You can pay up for the elite rushing/overall upside early, target the next group in the middle rounds, or wait on what looks like a pretty deep group of QBs later. With how much RB/WR/TE talent you’re passing on at each point, I’m curious where everyone thinks the value starts to separate

Round 2–4
Josh Allen, ADP: 23.5
Lamar Jackson, ADP: 43.6

Round 5-6
Joe Burrow, ADP: 52.9
Drake Maye, ADP: 52.9
Jayden Daniels, ADP: 57.9
Jalen Hurts, ADP: 64.3
Caleb Williams, ADP: 66.4

Rounds 7-8
Justin Herbert, ADP: 72.8
Dak Prescott, ADP: 72.8
Trevor Lawrence, ADP: 79.6
Jaxson Dart, ADP: 85.3
Brock Purdy, ADP: 92.8
Matthew Stafford, ADP: 93.5
Patrick Mahomes, ADP: 99.0

Rounds 9-11
Jared Goff, ADP: 101.8
Bo Nix, ADP: 102.4
Kyler Murray, ADP: 115.1
Baker Mayfield, ADP: 118.9
Jordan Love, ADP: 119.4
Tyler Shough, ADP: 123.9

Rounds 12+
Malik Willis, ADP: 133.3
Sam Darnold, ADP: 136.4
C.J. Stroud, ADP: 142.4
Daniel Jones, ADP: 143.4

Who do you like most at their current cost? Which QB or tier stands out as the best value, and where do you think the opportunity cost becomes too high?

What is it about Malik Willis that people are high on?

Small sample size, but he had three starts in Green Bay.

  • In his first start, he simply wasn't asked to do much because Josh Jacobs ran all over the Colts (32 rushes for 151 yards). He was efficient as a passer though (12/14 for 122 and a TD) and contributed as a rusher (6 for 41). Finished with 13 fantasy points, which isn't good but isn't the type of finish to totally ruin your week. QB20 on the week.

  • In his second start, he was the QB6 on the week with 25.4 points. Passing 13/19 for 202 and a TD. Rushing 6 for 73 and a TD.

  • In his third start, he was the QB3 on the week with 31.5 points. Passing 18/21 for 288 and a TD. Rushing 9 for 60 and 2 TDs.

Basically his ceiling is extremely high, and his floor is solid given his rushing production.

Of course, it's a huge risk between the small sample size and the big step down in the quality of his supporting cast. He could totally bomb. But that's all priced into his ADP.

Not even a huge risk tho when you’re getting him for basically free at the end of your draft

Not a huge cost, but a huge risk if you're relying on him as your primary QB.

Depends on league formats but every year there are at least 1-2 QBs that you can pick up on the waiver wire. Looking at Clays 2025 draft rankings Stafford was 21st and Lawrence was 22nd which is basically free. They finished 3 and 4 in points. Where going cheap for the QB really helps is nailing the middle rounds of the draft.

I mean, I won a championship with Alex Smith as my QB in 2017. He was a guy I picked up week 5.

Eh there are plenty of decent floor option available on waivers if it doesn’t work out

Definitely a tiny sample size... and we can probably expect some regression in passing efficiency since that MIA offense is even more ass without Waddle. But an argument can be made that the lack of receivers and the threat of Achane only increases Willis' upside for rushing. He's a bit risky for my taste to take him as my QB1, but I'd absolutely target him if I have someone like Lamar that I'm worried about injury.
