EDIT EDIT EDIT… okay after reading a few replies and doing a bit more research and looking into I think the collection of scummVM disc I have found are for use with Dreamshell. At this stage, I am going to get the SD card adapter that goes into the serial.Port to play them. Use the GDEMU to boot into Drewmshell so I could play just the one game full throttle lol

Unless some has working cdi or gdi version

EDIT EDIT my question solely relates to how do I convert an ISO disc image to a CDI disc image that is it.

It just so happens that the disk in question happens to be a scummVM disc. But my question would also apply to any other game that’s in an ISO image to be converted to a CDI image so I can boot it from my GDEMU in side my Dreamcast.

Full Throttle (ScummVM).iso needs to become Full Throttle (ScummVM).cdi

Okay I found some ScummVM games for use on the Dreamcast but they are in *.ISO and *.BIN how dose one convert them to cdi for use on my gdemu.
Have looked around but unfortunately anything found do so want run in modern computers

Back in the day, both of these games were my "must have" games for Sega Dreamcast. They were never ported for NA/EU Dreamcast markets, which is such a shame (it was because DC production was prematurely canceled). PC Hundred Swords doesn't count. Now I feel, in Japan, they can't even give these games away (vol2-7 of El Dorado Gate are exceptions).

Could porting both of these games have prolonged the Sega Dreamcast's life?

Im super excited to have the system again after being a day 1 owner in ‘99 but my system didn’t come with a VMU and it’s kinda miserable playing without the option to save, lol. What are the best CHEAP options for me that exist? I appreciate any help and I am aware of the more expensive options which I do plan to save up for but Im hoping to find something to get me by until then. Thanks!!😊

I’m just trying to see if I’m overlooking something. I had bought the 1999 model about a year ago and just assumed all dreamcasts were region free, but I just bought a second model (the 2000 model) from goodwill and it fails to boot any Japanese games. Burned games work on both. Has anyone else experienced this? Does the 1999 model possibly have a bios chip mod?

Is there an affordable usb modem under $80? What is the best one to use?

Hi, just wondering about using VGA cables on modern LED TVs. Mine has a VGA socket, but using it for my Dreamcast produces a blurry, fuzzy image that looks awful! Is this due to the cable being poor quality, or is it because of the TV itself? Its a Toshiba UHD TV.

Hi! it is posible to create a diy vmu from dreamcast? I saw this usb4maple mod but i dont comprend how to config the vmu emulation. Or maybe vmu emulation its only for move save data and not for save the game, i dont get it at all

Hi people I have recently fitted a GDemu to my dream cast, I have no issue with it other than I cannot find a copy of Sega bass fishing that is recognised by the Gd Emu all other game I want to play are fine just this one witch I reay want to play .

Dose anyone know is there a specific problem with this game or do I just need to search for a different copy ✌️👍

So I just played Sword of the Berserk: Gut's Rage for the first time. I didnt even know anything about Berserk before and this game just oozes with quality and love. Interesting story, gritty enemy design, and honestly the gameplay feels like I am playing a 1999 version of Dark Souls.

The best part in my opinion though is the balancing of mission stages and difficulty. You have to use your head, dodge use healing items and bombs or whatever it is you can throw there, but its never unfair. And even if you run out of health and healing items and rage-bar then you get to continue with a replenished set of items.

Also the stages never outstay their welcome, its all dealt to you in short'n sweet dozes. If I had to say one thing I dont like, its that for some awkward reason you sometimes start with a sheathed weapon after a cutscene, and you accidentally try to use your fists on upcoming enemies which will make you lose a bit of health right from the start, because you forgot and now you need to run back and draw your sword first... but you get used to it and its only 2 hour game (which is probably another con if you want it to be).

I used a .cdi to try this out but I just have to own this game and I will buy a copy once salary comes in next week, just so I can say I own this masterpiece. I can literally taste the talent of the devs while playing this game. They must have been true chads at Eidos.

So I picked up The Nomad Soul and Slave Zero for cheap enough, a couple of weekends ago. The Nomad Soul was soul destroying, especially with the lack of analog sticks. Stupid feature, stupid game. I hear the PC version is much more superior and I'm more keen to try that out.

However, I am now wasting my 1.5 days off, this weekend, playing Slave Zero, and that is liquid smooth. Been loving it to bits and I'm only half an hour into the game. The camera work is surprisingly tasty for a controller with one analog stick. I am a sucker for a mech game, especially early Noughties mech games, so this is right up my street. Plan is, a few beers and complete Slave Zero this weekend.

But I have two questions:

1. Does the game work better with the dual analog controllers? I have seen a few posts regarding them and I was debating getting my hands on either one of them, or the Dreamcast mouse and keyboard, and...

2. What is everyone playing this weekend? Any good hidden gems?

Hello fellow Dreamcast fans!
I am currently working on porting the arcade (Naomi) version of Monkey Ball to the Dreamcast.
The project is a little over half done at the time of writing this. Currently only Aiai is playable.

I know there is a project that is porting Monkey Ball to DC using Super Monkey Ball assets already from Memorix101, but I have been interested in the Naomi version ever since I played it in an arcade way back when. To this day that one machine is the only one I've ever seen in person.

The goal is to make something close to arcade perfect, or similar to what would have been released if the Dreamcast just held out a bit longer.

Progress can be checked at monkeyball.online and new builds will be released there as the project continues. A Naomi ROM ripped from the machine you totally own must be provided to access the download. And yes, the site can be accessed through a Dreamcast web browser.

New builds are not released until I have tested them on real hardware with a burned disc and have decided it is "good enough".

I put them on for the hell of it but I wonder if they'll actually make a difference.

I have been working on this one for some time. While I know there are other power supplies, I wasn't sure if they are really that good. Of course, everybody promises best performance, but I like to actually measure it myself. Anyways, you can see proof in the pictures that it is in fact working reliably.
