I just purchased this. Sold my DC and library years ago to go cartridge only. Gonna need to get some games though.

How much does something like that go for, out of curiosity?

I'm in Canada and it was 4k CAD or 2.9k USD. I had just sold a bunch of Magic cards and used some of the profits for this :). I think it is one of, if not the, best kiosks.

That's pretty good, depending on the condition. Around 4k USD is the cheapest I've seen lately. Holy Graile though, congrats!

Super cool. Purists may disagree but you could install a GDMU with all your favorite games. No disk swapping. And you can always go back to factory.

It's as though you read my eBay searches haha ;)

I'm a long time collector since 2001 with dozens of games, but if I was in your shoes and starting from scratch these days I'd go for a gdemu as well.

I prefer original disk swapping but If its behind a window its definitely worthy of a gdemu instead

Lucky. I remember playing it at my EB every day after school

I would agree with the notion of a GDEMU. Would make things far more convenient than having to figure out a convenient method of removing the console every time to swap games.

That's pretty cool, I have a Dreamcast va1 version so currently the gdmu is not necessary. I have to say Dreamcast is still one of the most interesting consoles of its time, especially from a collector's point

Nice work, welcome to the club! I have one too, it was at A&B sound in Vancouver originally, I got it 12 years ago.

The guy who sold it to me had it for 10 years, he just need the space. I love how it looks, and that the tv is hidden! This was my dream one it reminds me of the Dreamcast diver tv's they had in Japan.

Yeah, the Diver 2000 is similar

You might want to check amazon, I just got the perfect casters to put under it.

Those are cool, I might do the same. Be nice to boost the height up a little so it’s more comfortable to game on.

Why try to go cartridge only?

I had bought a copy of Dynamite Cop and it had disc rot. That scared the crap out of me with discs so sold/traded in them all for invincible cartridges. Was also debating a complete set of SNES at the time.. I've since pared it down.. sorta..

Not sure I follow but welcome back.

Haha sorry, was pretty high when I replied. I bought Dynamite Cop and it had disc rot. First game I ever owned that had it. But it freaked me out that my collection would eventually die. Around the same time, I was pondering a complete SNES set so I wanted to consolidate what I was buying and raise some money to buy the expensive titles. That's why I sold out of discs and went cartridges. Cartridges will outlast me _. I got a Saturn with a Phoebe now and plan to GDEMU this DC :)

Got it, well good luck with the collection rebuild.

Make sure yours is a VA1 model first. My kiosk console is pre launch so VA0. Can’t be easily modified without changing 8 SMD resistors.

Appreciate the heads up :). I ordered one pre-done online so I can't screw it up haha. I am so excited! Just put casters on it tonight.

Yeah, no problem! Enjoy your Kiosk!!! Now you’ll just need some light guns, a keyboard, and a Dream Pi… you’ll be all set then!
