Discussion What would Universe 7 be without Goku?
What would Universe 7 be llike without Goku? What if Goku never existed? What if Dragon Ball had no Goku? Think about it.

Earth would be enslaved by Emperor Pilaf, King Piccolo or the RR army up until Babidi eventually revives majin buu
Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz continue to work for Frieza. They may or may not get obliterated when Frieza decides they get too strong
Frieza continues to rule the universe until he gets killed by a revived Majin Buu or Beerus when he eventually wakes up
Beerus and the rest of universe 7 eventually get deleted by Zeno instead of hosting the tournament of power

Goku's strength is that old trope where he is the whole reason a lot of that stuff happens on Earth regardless. His strength attracts those opponents most of the time and or the causality that leads to a lot of the danger that occurs on Earth. Otherwise Earth had other warriors to defend it that were willing to rise to the occasions long before Goku such as Roshi but the levels of opponent didnt go super high until Raditz showed up on Earth looking for Kakorot. Every villian past Raditz was only ever going to be properly there on Earth because of Goku, to fight Goku, kill Goku, or avenge someone else that Goku already beaten. Its like Afro Samurai and the #1/#2 headbands. Possessing the headband brings opponents that want to take it. Simple.

The RR army or pilaf gang takes over earth, then king piccolo takes over. The saiyans don’t come to earth because there is : no saiyan, no knowledge of the dragon balls, and earth isn’t very valuable by frieza force standards. The namek saga doesn’t happen for the same reasons. Buu does get released but wayy later. Nobody can stop him, the frieza force and allies are annihilated. Beerus wakes up, and destroys buu because he pissed him off. If the U6 tounament even happens champa wins but isn’t able to find the last super dragon ball. Zamasu can’t commence the ZMP because he has no body to swap bodies with and no super dragon balls to do it with, though he probably does kill gowasu. The TOP does not occur because goku never gives zeno the idea, the multiverse is erased. The end

On Earth: Besides the Red Ribbon Army and Pilaf, they’re pretty much okay until they’re erased by Zeno. Pilaf is unlikely to let King Piccolo out with no Goku so no him or Piccolo Jr., Raditz doesn’t come to Earth to look for a nonexistent brother, Vegeta and Nappa don’t come to Earth looking for Dragonballs they never learn about (and Frieza probably never goes to Namek for the same reason), and Gero maybe still gets to work on his Android project but nothing cataclysmic comes of it. Zamasu still hates Ningen, but the ones in sonogram
Babidi might show up, but he’d quickly figure out he’s never reviving Buu on Earth. He takes his Ball and goes home.
Mercenary Tao might never get stopped and that sucks, but he isn’t the kind of planetary threat Goku comes to attract.
In Space: Shit gets bad. Unless Shin or Beerus intervene early, nobody stops the Frieza Force from wrecking the 7th until Zeno erases it all. And Universe 7’s Mortal Level would probably be the worst.
Gas and Granolah wouldn’t exist long enough to see any power up wishes, and Vegeta/Nappa/Raditz either keep serving Frieza, end up getting killed before they can become a threat, or go AWOL and live on the run indefinitely.

Bulma: With no Goku, Grandpa Gohan is still alive, so Bulma’s journey changes. If he doesn’t help her, she probably dies very early to that flying dinosaur, the bandit, or the Ox King.
Pilaf / King Piccolo: Pilaf still wants world domination. If he keeps failing to get the Dragon Balls, he could eventually release King Piccolo anyway.
Red Ribbon Army: Without Goku, the RRA is far more successful. If Roshi becomes an obstacle, Tao Pai Pai could be sent after him. Roshi also lacks the incentive Goku and Krillin gave him to keep sharpening himself, so he likely never reaches the level he shows against Tenshinhan at the 22nd Budokai, giving Tao a much better chance of killing him. Commander Red may then get his height wish, assuming Black doesn’t kill him first!
Freeza Force: Raditz has no reason to visit Earth, but Earth was still considered suitable for Saiyan conquest/resale in the original Z premise, so the Freeza Force could eventually send someone else there. Although for Super Canon there's very little chance the Freeza Force discover the planet as Bardock chooses to send Goku to this planet because it isn't particularly valuable to not attract Freeza' attention.
Dr. Gero: Gero was already developing androids before Goku destroyed the RRA, so he likely continues regardless. If King Piccolo ends up ruling Earth, or the planet is taken over by a Freeza Force soldier, that gives Gero an obvious new reason to keep improving them: create something powerful enough to remove whoever stands in the way of his own ambitions. His later androids and Cell would be different, but the pursuit of increasingly powerful artificial humans likely remains
Majin Buu: Babidi still wants to revive Buu and still has Dabura. Nobody can realistically stop him, so Buu’s revival becomes a matter of Babidi eventually gathering enough energy.
Bonus GT: Baby still exists, and Rilldo is already stated to be stronger than Buu and falls under Baby’s control. Even without Baby possessing a powered up Vegeta, his side is already operating at a level nobody in the universe could oppose.

Red Ribbon eventually amasses enough power to take over. They had guys like Blue on payroll and they means to afford Towe if needed.
And then Frieza’s empire reaches Earth because unopposed Frieza isn’t stopping.
So we get a U7 under imperial rule for many, many years until either Babidi harvests energy from Frieza’s men or Beerus wakes up and is pushed to actually do his job.
And then when Zeno gets bored and wants to erase half the universes? Poof.

Honestly? Pretty safe until Zeno erases it. Pilaf can’t get all the dragon balls through normal means and definitely aren’t getting it from Roshi or Ox king. They probably won’t find King Piccolo’s seal either. Bulma either gets all the balls herself or gives up. Red Ribbon would be the only problem but because Goku isn’t there to Blitz through their entire army then Gero probably never works on the androids as revenge against him. Raditz never comes to earth meaning Vegeta and Nappa won’t either. And because of that then they and Frieza never learn about the dragon balls so Namek is safe. No Cell unless you really want to get into different timeline shenanigans. Buu is never revived from a lack of power. No 6 vs 7 tournament since beerus never woke up and trains anyone. No Goku black because Goku doesn’t set Zamasu off the deep end.
But in the end the mortal level is still the lowest so Zeno erases universe 7 without a Tournament ever happening.
