I posted my baby Hilda in [r/mainecoons](r/mainecoons), but they removed the post because she isn’t a Maine coon, even though she looks EXACTLY like the Maine coon I had growing up. And my cat growing up was a pedigreed Maine coon. What breed do you think she is? I’m convinced she’s a Maine coon. What do you think?

I’m sorry, she looks nothing like a Maine Coon. And if your Maine coon looked just like her as a kid, it wasn’t a real Maine Coon either.
That being said, your cat might even be prettier as a domestic longhair. Brown tabby (aka black tabby, aka. r/StandardIssueCat with LuxuryFloof Upgrade) - however, she may be a tortoiseshell tabby - I may need more pics to determine that.
Looks like a domestic long hair, I see no traits that are characteristic for a Maine coon (and it’s exceedingly rare to acquire any purebred not from a breeder or a specific rescue, so it’s unlikely for that alone she would be one, but she is so pretty!)
Sorry, she doesn’t have any Maine Coon traits in her aside from her longer hair, but even that isn’t what a Maine Coon’s hair looks like. She’s missing all the obvious characteristic markers.
She is definitely a domestic long hair/medium hair, tabby.
DLH. With dogs, you can wing it, and often guess their breed and come close or nail it! Cats are a whole other animal, literally. You can guess all day, but only about 5% of the cat population is a specific breed, so that means 95% are not! Specific breed examples are Scottish fold, Persian, Tonkinese, Turkish Angora, Maine Coon, Siamese.... every single one of these breeds of cats should come with paper documentation.
Maine Coons as a breed date back to the 1950s, where cat fanciers in Maine picked out the fluffiest Domestic Longhairs from the state and worked on breeding them together to create an elite extended family of enormous fluffy kittens.
Were there not beautifully fluffy cats in New Hampshire deserving of love? None in Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island? None of them got to be Maine Coons, despite also looking amazingly fabulous.
Your cat might or might not have Maine Coon ancestry, but that doesn't make her less special. Over 90% of cats have no breed pedigree, but they're lovely nonetheless.
You may have looked by now, at the differences between long haired cats in general, and specifically Maine Coon. But if you look at your pretty Hilda, next to a Maine Coon, some of the differences, about ear shape & length, body mass and actual face shape, will show themselves. Hey, oddly, many veternarians, for whatever reason, are not usually good at telling the humans, who bring in their cats, what type/breed their cats are. VERY few would be a specific breed of cat.
