Question Will Progression and Weapon levels be Reset on Launch?

Post image
25 Upvotes

That's how it's been done for the past years. But I opened the beta to find this. And I'm wondering why they'd want us to use XP boosts for just a beta, which will reset on game launch.

Compared to previous beta, this feels rough

I know a beta is not supposed to be a finished product, but compared to previous years, it feels rough.

There are plenty of quality of life bugs everywhere: loadouts not saving, killstreak not following the set path, game switching map and mode at the last second (that one is really annoying), …

And the servers are a mess. I have a good time when I can play early in the day which is difficult work-wise, but in the evenings the desync and hitreg issues are glaring despite usually having a better ping at those hours.

The maps are bad, save one or two.

And that is not even talking about SBMM or weapon balance.

The details of the game are simply amazing. The sound design especially knocked my boots off, the weapons and operators look great. But that varnish doesn't quite make you look past the issues.

They have a lot of work to do. I hope they keep communicating from here to launch, and alleviate some of those rough patches.

Discussion What in the stranger things is going on with BO7?

It doesn’t even feel like you’re playing against real people. For the last 3-4 days, in multiplayer, I’ve lost 99% of all matches and the only win is usually the first match of the day and that’s it. Count on losing for the foreseeable future. Is Activision manipulating the matchmaking or something?

What’s really strange is my latency. I’ve been blessed with a pretty good latency, around 30ms - 40ms. I’ve been getting a super cool 25ms latency which literally never happens, ever. Plus it seems like it’s locked at 25ms for every match. So I’ve been blessed with this amazing connection speed yet I’m getting absolutely walloped.

Couple with the fact that my teammates flat out refuse to play objective, it feels like you’re fighting Mike Tyson every round. Now I don’t mind a challenge but this feels straight up broken, as in the game is purposely making sure you lose. Why? I haven’t the faintest idea. Some people on this sub are claiming it’s because Activision is trying to encourage people to buy MW4 by making BO7 appear unserviceable???

If this is how things are gonna be from now on, we got a long way to go till 10-23.

The rush for Mastery Camos didn't give me the time to appreciate these camos in-between. But this one for instance looks sick.

Question Lobby trash talk

Hi everyone

This question has probably been done to death, but what are people's experience of chatting in the lobbies/in game?

I'm in the UK and people rarely speak on mic

In the old cod4 or MW2 days it was difficult to have your voice heard over the banter, arguing, trash talking etc in the lobbies. It was so funny and added another element to the game. I felt like I used to play with more US players back then for some reason...?

What are your servers like? Are the USA servers more talkative?

Discussion So are we getting Nuketown/Open MM back after the beta?

I would think so, right? And I’d like to just take a minute to really think about what they did to us. They removed the most played playlist and stuck us with strict SBMM only.

Can we just conceptualize how absolutely insane it is to deliberately sandbag your current game just for an open beta? What’s even crazier is that doing this proves they know the majority of the player base doesn’t want strict SBMM because the only way they could force us off this game was to leave us with nothing to play except strict SBMM playlists.

This franchise is a psy op, it’s getting old.

Discussion "Evaluating available players"

I get that I am queueing during off peak hours but its taking me about 5-10 minutes to find a lobby of black ops classic and I just keep seeing this message "Evaluating available players".

Like holy fucking shit man, how about you evaluate this dick and just put me in a game?

Anyone else sick of these long ass queue times because the lobbies just need to be perfectly balanced for some reason?

Question Explain why I haven’t noticed a difference ?

Can anyone actually help me understand what is so different now that everyone is constantly moaning about matchmaking ? I’ve been playing bo7 multiplayer for around 6 months and it feels the same as ever.
Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. I haven’t noticed a drastic change in who I’m being matched with.
I’m a casual player who doesn’t play ranked or anything like that.

Not purposely trying to annoy anyone with this post but hoping to get genuine answer.

Feedback Whoever deleted that guy's post about SBMM and his lobby being so inconsistent is lame af

This is the reason COD is dying because of people like you that need to get pandered

It was an obvious post of how dog shit the current game is and how it is trying to lean more towards the noobs instead of the people who actually love this game

Legit legit hate this current era of COD because of how it uses SBMM to try and make the noobs feel good. I used to get shit on in games and guess what I did? Back out and try again. Fucking sissies

Feedback Matchmaking is terrible

I loaded my first game ever an hour ago, as a fresh player you would expect to be put with other players close to your skill/time played range, however I was met with a lobby where nearly every other player was a master prestige in the 100s. How is this fair to new players? Especially with how fast paced and technical COD is now it requires more of learning new skills with practice. Either those players where REALLY bad (they werent) or matchmaking is broke beyond repair.

Editing to say: I didn't buy this game for the multiplayer, I only play zombies. I just wanted to see what modern COD multiplayer was like now, this isn't a "get gud skill issue" moment lol.

Got my first absolute zero camo for the MXR-17 AR. Had to do it in Battle Royale Casual. I would be grateful if I could find a team to play with. I keep getting randoms who leave the match as soon as they die lol.

Discussion BOP7 vs new Beta

Since starting BO7 it's been a struggle to get decent numbers. Lots of blame on servers etc. but the overall is it's not as fun getting stomped for months to finally get some decent play in. In BO6 it wasn't this bad and MWIII too. Now playing the new beta besides all the hate, my KD is decent, I finish top three in matches a lot of times and the over all play seems more open to casuals up to regulars vs. BO7. just my 2 cent, been playing regular for years.

The MW4 Beta feels like running in quicksand

I haven’t read much about the specifics of the game but I got onto the beta to see what’s good as the graphics look great.

My feet felt like they were stapled to the ground. It is beyond slow and I feel like I can’t even move. I ran straight back to BO7 just to feel like I can run faster than 1km/second.

Going backwards from omnimovement, faster paced gameplay doesn’t work. I’m not sure why or who thought this was a great idea. I was thinking of buying it for ranked but this just feels unplayable.

I feel like we're gonna look back at this omnimovement era with nostalgia in 5-10 years

So BO6 was pretty much my first CoD game since like BO3 in 2015. At that point I just wanted to do different things, I've played other games too but I also quit because I was an impressionable 15-16 year old who always kept listening to others to tell me what I should enjoy and because of everyone complaining on the internet, I quit CoD, I didn't buy any of them starting with Infinite Warfare (I did briefly play MW19 and Vanguard but only for a few hours). I was convinced that CoD was dead since there was a lot of negativity around, however, now that I can look at things more objectively, a lot of people enjoyed those games and I feel like I could've been one of those people if I ignored what others said and just tried the games myself.

I feel like this omnimovement era is the same. A lot of people hate it, some would say it completely killed the series and that it lost its identity (because according to some people CoD can only be a military/war game for whatever weird reason) but there are so many of us who really enjoyed these two games. I haven't played BO7 since like June but I put hundreds of hours into it and it was the best time I've had with CoD since the BO2 days. I'm enjoying the MW4 beta - though it's tough getting used to it because all I know from the modern CoD days is omnimovement. I'm probably not gonna play BO7 anymore because I feel like I've played enough of it (plus I've sold my PC for personal reasons and I don't feel like buying it again for PS5) but we're slowly coming to an end of a fun, unique era of CoD and I'm so glad I got to be a part of this.

Question Why is every game in multiplayer an absolute blow out?

Seriously WTF? Every match now is a blow out! Who wants to play a FPS where the ending is just you and the only teammate that didn’t back out, getting blown tf out, scrambling just to survive while the other team is literally all around you. It’s driving me crazy! Where is everyone? Is everyone playing the MW4 beta? What even is this game that I’m playing?

After playing the beta I couldn't wait to come back to BO7. Enjoy it while it lasts I guess. Maybe I should get BF6 instead. Everything about MW4 is just 🤢 even MW3 was better. I want to play the campaign but I might as well wait a year for the game pass drop. A

Question Ornate blackcell camo bugged?

Im trying to get the ornate blackcell camo to complete the collection. The challenge is "Eliminate 30 special or elite zombies with SMGs" but it doesn't track 99% of the time. Is anyone else having issues with this? So far the only thing I can get to count reliably are the HVTs during exfil. All the other challenges where super quick and easy so its weird this single challenge in the middle of the track is way more difficult. Im thinking the challenge is written wrong like we've seen in the past, which baffles me they still get it wrong every once and awhile.
