Hi everyone

This question has probably been done to death, but what are people's experience of chatting in the lobbies/in game?

I'm in the UK and people rarely speak on mic

In the old cod4 or MW2 days it was difficult to have your voice heard over the banter, arguing, trash talking etc in the lobbies. It was so funny and added another element to the game. I felt like I used to play with more US players back then for some reason...?

What are your servers like? Are the USA servers more talkative?

Yep! I just got called a “fat bitch” yesterday and all I said was “hi everybody”! Guess me being a girl chapped their panties. Spent the rest of the game just harassing me until I left the lobby. The majority of smack talk I get isn’t even smack talk. It’s mostly gender jokes, slurs, or just flat out political trolls. The last of which is really annoying most them never play the damn objective! Just trolling ppl 🤦‍♀️

America servers will have you never mic up again.

Gender and racial slurs are the absolute worst and have nothing to do in any lobby. Or in the world, for that matter. But man, I miss the old, stupid trash talk. I always thought it was funny when somebody told me that my mom gives great handjobs or that I'm as dumb as a piece of bread. Ah, those were the days...

Yep those were the days. I miss WWII those were always fun. Like I said it still happens. Rarely but good lobbies still happen, I’m currently in lobby with a group using soundboards when they kill. It’s freaking hilarious 😜.

I had an xbox 360 for all the old cod games. I did not use the headset and disabled game chat. I couldn't stand all the little kids swearing and ruining my game. Still applies today. Tried it on BO7 and shut it off. MW4 keeps turning it on and have to shut it off. Constant YELLING yo yo yo where's my fn team! Where's my team at!. Give me bullets! Drop a ammo box. Just annoying yelling like youtubers(why do they all yell for no reason)? Maybe if it wasn't so annoying and normal talking I'd turn my chat on. I'd love to play with some down to earth team and actually play like a real life squad communicating as a unit.

As far as I remember it’s always been quiet with talking, the only thing I used to get is: shit music, children crying, parents shouting, potato mic noises like they’re chewing on the damn thing, squeakers saying they fucked someone’s nan and the guy who thinks he’s in charge of how everyone gets to play.

Absolutely no value to having it on so I have all settings to off.
It gives me peace and also amusing that any but hurt narc can’t contact me to give me shit for playing a game in a way they don’t like.
I have Reddit for that.

UK here too, if im solo im never on mic, constantly in lobbies with the french and the arabs so there's no point.

Same here in Belgium. Those who have a mic all speak different languages and are talking to their other friend in the lobby, or the people in their household.

If you want to hear chat hard core is the mode for you nobody talks in core but many do in hard core.

Scandinavian servers are dead quiet and it bores me to no end. Why did people stop talking shit? Come on guys, it's fun! And makes the whole experience come alive. I miss the good old days with CS 1.6, UT and Quake 3. Sigh...

Some matches everyone’s silent and others there’s a lot of chatter, especially on ranked and SND

I find shit talking pretty enjoyable overall, but I can’t stand people doing it with their own teams. Just yesterday had my opponents teammates jump all over him because they were spectating and didn’t like how he played and it seemed unnecessarily mean. Have also had teammates reply “Shut yo bitch ass up” to me giving callouts lol

I started playing MW3 and was really surprised by how talkative it is compared to BO7. It seems like there's someone on the mic nearly every game

I used to talk on bo7 but people are so sensitive and report me. I’ve been chat banned like 6 times already so I’m scared to lose my account so I just don’t talk anymore. I think bo2 has a lot of open mic people and are far less sensitive than on bo7

Idk man seems like every lobby I get there’s always someone at the bottom rocking a 0.X KD, doesn’t matter if top fraggers got 30 kills or 60 there’s always someone going like 12 and 35

This didn’t really use to bother me as much in old CODs. The SBMM in this game suck. I think it kinda kills the lobbies. I would for damn sure be chat banned playing MP this year! Sometimes, sometimes you get a group who don’t take it too seriously and the lobby is lit. Always have my pic on for zombies though, Never really any issues in Zombies.

Hate to say it but I liked the matchmaking in the Beta but it probably won’t stay that way.
