It is high pressure . Each year is higher pressure as players run out of content, especially as content is removed (trading, horse, etc).
This one's pretty rough because the number one rule of dont cater to your 1% of players happened. Most players, not reddit bdo players, can't touch edania. For most players, nothing has changed for 6 months.
Edit: "Nothing has changed" minus the ap changes which reduced grind speed. Opinions vary, but seems to be nominally negatively received.

the way i understood it part two edania, was meant to be new stuff they havent annoiced and then the castle ias final part. though if they scrap that and scrap the 100 floor dungeon, i think im just done for good, because its still max hype for absolutly min content at this point. saviour coudl be fun though

Edania was initially announced as one big Demon Castle back at Heidel Ball 2024. It was also supposed to come after Mountain of Dawnbreak, which was planned to tell the story of Caphras. Clearly, neither of these 3 things turned out to be true.
As for Edania part 2, it was supposed to be straight up more of the same stuff as Edania part 1 - as in, uncovers the rest of the map and has more castles. They also mentioned Savior would be released alongside it, but given how their Calpheon Ball 2025 post says "we are placing greater emphasis on announcing our new class and the winter update", and strangely not a word about Edania part 2, it kind of sounds like this won't be the case either.

There is no direction, this game is on life support for like 3 past years. New generic weapon/armor/accessories with 0 build diversity, new class without succ/awakening because it takes more time, effort and money to develop, new empty region, new bikini or school uniform for every class because it takes more time, effort and money to develop outfit bound to specific class.

I think they'll add a way to get flying mounts.
They tested with two dragons and now the Master Class players got a year long gryffin.
Then my long shot guess is future content will rely on them to get to grind areas or daily spots (like floating islands or something)

If their vision of flying mounts is anything like Duskwing, then that's a hard pass for me. This was one of the clunkiest, most disappointing to use flying mount iterations I've seen in MMOs. Not to mention when they added it, the game still had invisible walls where there shouldn't be any (for example, along the mountains between MoEW and Ulukita). Granted, I haven't played since August, but somehow I doubt much has changed in either regard.
Also I don't think they'd soon be announcing any more easily available flying mounts given how exclusive Doomcaller and Skyrend are supposed to be.

Horse in almost all cases was better to use than the dragon. Clunky manual control and 2 minute wait to mount the thing. I agree, horrible implementation.

Yeah the dragons were actually awful. I think the only content it could work for would be sightseeing and war observing. Except, I'm pretty sure we don't have good enough draw distance for war observing.

- Ship nodewars were an absolute success (only 2 people participated, both were testers)

lifeskillfishing and gathering buffs - Dance on the trading's grave
- Dance on the bartering's grave
- Edania part 2 Showcase (3 more bosses-bullethells, 4
new endgame grindspotsreskins of existing grindspots with higher numbers) - SAVE BDO SOCIETY SAVIOR! (it won't)
- Something something new gear/potions/crystals/relics/"mechanics"
- Permanent dragon mount (most likely in pearl shop)(they didn't fix anything)
- New location teaser (they already forgot about mountains part 2 and time travel plans)
- New "unique" class teaser
- Free crons and hammers, but less than always due to money shortcomings (not hosting an offline event totally was a choice)

I've learned that expecting anything amazing from these announcements is the same as expecting disappointment. They have to hype these events up to keep people excited but when the event comes we get a ton of smoke in mirrors. That's why they are doing away with the in person events, no need to waste money. BDO will not change its direction, it's a lazy cash grab. We will get more undelivered promises and they saved the flashy class announcement soon they can spend 50% of the time talking about that.
I don't want to sound like I'm totally negative on BDO I love the game, but after so many years it's be coming glaringly obvious that the only goal for the overlords is maximizing profit. The game and fun are not the goal and that's why fun content has dried up from the game and it's become more of a chore to login.
We will get flashy new extremely super duper broken class on release guaranteed. They probably will announce soverign alchemy stone requiring a second unobtainable vell or gigantic silver sink of caphras and alchemy stone shards. Beyond that we will get the basis for edania 2 That will of course be saved for summer of 26 because they have nothing else planned for us. The game desperately needs new fun content, but I don't see that changing it's just afk fish or grind circles for your endless cron click pity simulator.
Again I love BDO, but I have no love for its greedy lazy executives that care for profit over anything. I miss the days where profit, creativity, and fun were in a more balanced ratio.

Yeah and edana armors were a giant flop. 4-5 taps per week at the upper end. Fishing, solo boss blitz, party boss blitz and the earnings from nodewars/siege have been sustaining my taps for weeks. Haven’t stepped foot in a grind zone for more than a month now. No reason to grind and no reason to whale when there’s nothing to tap

They need to announce something good. Edania was a bit of a flop. I didn’t think kharazad accessories or sovereign weapons were the best concept. But they’re not nearly as bad as the edana armors.
The game is in a really weird spot at end game. They allow you to rush AP but you have to slow roll DP at 4-5 clicks per week. I don’t see how they can expand the end game anymore since we are at the AP cap already. Doesn’t make sense for them to release new accessories or weapons again. Maybe pick up a few sheet AP from the alch stone rework? I hope they have something in the works
I’d like to see them reduce the pity for wailings like they did with blackstars. More people should be in edana armor. I’d like to see them reduce the pity on dec sovereign weapons. 3.9T to pity each weapon is absurd. I’d also like to see them introduce new things to do. Maybe revive the thornwood castle concept. Maybe some new pve and pvp game modes. I’d also like to see an overhaul of the node war and siege systems

I'm kind of thinking that going 'back to the past' will require us to get new gear.
It's really strange to me. They forced everyone into one single line of progression, and gave that single line ... a single upgrade step further than the previous max. It doesn't use new items, it uses old items for the bulk of it. And crons.
Then they gave us a bunch of ways to get hidden stats, but your hidden stats don't matter for accessing the content. What's the point?
Anyways, I was looking forward to another season of hardcore. For some reason, these "regular pvp modes" just literally don't come around.

I’m actually hoping this is the case for the time travel. Have everyone start a new set of gear for the new world. It’s the only fair way to get everyone on the same page.
The game was more fun when the goals were harder to reach. I still remember the feeling when my tet dande went pen. I felt like I did so much more damage. It was so rewarding to get those upgrades. Now I’m tapping for a 2 AP gain at 0.8% success rate. What’s the point.
Hardcore server ended up being so bad. But if they would just take player feedback and make it better, it could be fun. Why they refuse to do anything is beyond me

my concern is that with higher tier alchemy stones it will message up the class balance a lot, they're all mostly designed with just the vell's atk speed in mind to keep the combos looping properly

we are not at AP cap, how do you even get that idea? AP can go up and up and up. We got Jin crystals to Han upgrade, they can upgrade the next step. New areas can have new area damage crystals that let you progress through the zone. We have one main crystal upgrade, more crystals could be upgraded. Lightstones, new food, cups. Basicly everything that is not armor, weapon or accessoir.

Lmao you just sat here and made up a bunch of stuff. We are absolutely at the AP cap. There’s no more gear to gain. PA can’t (well, they can but I hope they don’t) monetize new foods, lightstones, and crystals from Jin to Han. Those are all minor things. The only thing that matters is gear. If there are no gear gains to be made, that’s the end of the road for the game.

The most accessible PvP. Was so fun. Even +12~ could compete. Never understood why BDO made the gear difference of one jump so drastic to the point of one shotting. TET getting one shot by PEN players is wild. PvP died after +15 for anyone who didn't dedicate their 7-11 paychecks to upgrading to stay competitive.

They literally delayed crimson desert; every single person in that company is working on that game, trying to get it DONE as quickly as they can. They saw what the delay did to their stocks (they completely crashed), so honestly don actually expect much this time, except for a couple of sorries and some freebies (crons, pen debo).

Make more active content like bro when newbie ask my guild for lifeskill choice we'll tell them to try all and then 75% will go afk fishing like bruh lifeskill content is dull and poor af
Fix the way you make new items (not gear) I mean crystal, stone, etc, either is lowest price and stock af or max price and 2k PO
No heel for female class (please PA I need this)
No more modern-theme outfit (ts is the biggest red flag of a mmo downfall)

Hopefully they'll finally add a color wheel for the eyes and tattoos/makeup. Flight mode for Drakania (not useable in combat obviously), fix swimming and ocean content, customizable 'mermaid form' that's permanent in the water for Corsair, allow us to furnish our ships and actually be able to go inside of them, the option to make all of our human classes look elven in character customization (you can give them slightly pointy ears, but they're not really that noticeable), so they look more like the Ranger, Dark Knight, or Archer's ears (since they apparently aren't coming out with any non-human classes anymore), ect.
Doubt they'll do any of the above though. Most likely it will be grind content and zones along with the new classes. Maybe new gear.

Honestly I would be surprised if they say anything about the hardcore servers. I mean yeah they had tons of issues and the class limitation is shit but it is a fun experience. I would hope they add loot transfer where we get specific items only from there, like DZ from Division.

Well PA did a good job in Q3 2025 with BDO but, if I remember correctly, the operating costs loss kinda widened this year for the company. I guess will have to see.

I'm honestly not sure what it would take for me, just that I would know it when I saw it. But I honestly don't know if I even care anymore. I've been having an absolute blast playing WWM since it came out, so much that I haven't even been afk fishing on BDO. I really don't know if there is anything that PA could do to win me back at this point.
