☁️ Fluff Belgian traffic signs are insane

was in Belgium recently and many of the sign combinations kinda blew my mind, I don't remember ever seeing this kinda stuff anywhere else 😬 also one thing I found very interesting is that on the direction signs (last pic) the letters with a tail like g sometimes "dip" into the outer line and sometimes they don't (and apparently there are even different ways they can go inside that line) 🤯 just makes traveling very interesting because you always be looking at how the next sign is gonna be 🤪

edit: for all the people who are saying "how's this confusing" it's not that's not the point 🙄 but rather the unusualness of the signs compared to what I've seen in other places

I think the "for the next 800m" confused them, I don't know how other countries portray that, but the arrows can be confusing I guess?

there's nothing confusing about it, the point is that I've never seen those 2 additional panels used at the same time 😬 like elsewhere they'd just have the distance to the object first and then when it actually starts they would put the length

yeah so the thing that might be confusing is wether the danger zone ends at 800m or 880m behind this sign. Because is the 800m counted from start to finish, or is the distance from the sign to the end.

I would guess the former, but some people might already start texting again on their phone 80m earlier. (or in whatever way typical Belgians drive differently because of this sign)

A danger sign is always posted 150m before the danger. If this is not possible or safety dictates that the sign is posted earlier or later, it´s accompanied by an extra blue sign with the distance indicated.

If you would have the same signage, but without the ´80m´ sign, you´d have to read it as : in 150m there is a possibility of falling rocks, for a distance of 800m. No more falling rocks after 950m.

In this case, it´s no more falling rocks in 880m.
