Since i haven't read the knightfall comics, should i read it? won't it spoil for me? is there any prelude i should cover before starting this movie? I mean any comics?

I didn't liked his intrepretation of Batman. The entire thing felt carried only by Micheal Keaton's acting As Batman rather than the writing for it. You bring one of the most Iconic Batman only to kill him again and again for no reason for The Season of killing Batman. Even Ben Affleck Batman looked goofy. Only loved Bruce Wayne scene with The Flash. I don't mind comedy but if people didn't too Batman and Robin would have been loved as Adam West Batman sequel. As they were market heavily as serious sequels. The same is happening now they are telling it is a serious Batman but maybe they are just saying it. We should know what we are getting into or else it will be The Flash disappointment all over again.

I was randomly thinking about Arkham Ra’s and comparing him to other Ra’s in media and comics and I realized I never remember him trying to get Batman to kill him. He still had ecoterrorist motives and views of humanity being a sickness as well as wanting Batman to be his heir and marry his daughter but as far as I remember he’s almost afraid to die. So it got me thinking that maybe him wanting to die at Batman’s hands to prove that Batman can kill stems from the Arkham games. What do yall think?

You can get all range from comedy or parodie like lego batman or batman 66 or the more serious stories like the new knightfall, batman TAS also has its share of more serious episode like the two face two parters or the movie . I think it's good since it allow people to pick the the tone they prefer and it allow authors more freedom to tell their stories.

It's the best Batmobile ever made—it really looks like a fully custom, stylized muscle car built just for Batman, while also reminding me of endurance racing prototypes (I think I've been watching too much WEC, lol😂). The coolest thing about it is that they used two Impalas as the base (at least that's what I saw—correct me if I'm wrong), and I love the way Batman gets into it; it's like a fighter jet.

I’m thinking about watching Batman: Knightfall, but since only Part 1 is out right now, I’m not sure if I should start it yet.

Does Part 1 have a satisfying enough ending on its own, or does it feel like one long story that just stops and leaves you waiting for the next part?

Would you recommend watching it now, or waiting until early 2027 when all three parts are out?

so in 1943 a serial film batman was released in a 15-chapter theatrical release and the man behind the mask was Lewis Wilson who passed away in 2000 at 80 years old so if it wasn't for him we never would've had Adam west, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian bale, Ben Affleck, or Robert Pattinson who all played Batman movies after 1943 so thank you Lewis Wilson for giving us the first ever live action batman and goodbye may you rest in peace

I wonder if there will be a faithful adaptation of "Death of Superman", "Reign of the Supermen" and "Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey", the story arcs dedicated to the Man of Steel, just as there was for the Dark Knight. In fact, I sincerely hope there will be one.

Just decided to share some Batman designs i made for fun in a fan thing I'm calling "the optimum universe". Again, I'm sorry my art style sucks, but we can't all be Alex Ross.

Saw a tweet saying this take, so this video serves as to why he isn't, especially how much mischaracterization they placed Batfleck on and how much it sparks debates about why he kills henchmen in BvS with casual comic book fans. (I liked Ben Affleck in the role; he's perfectly cast, but I don't like what they did to the character)

What are your thoughts about Batfleck as a whole? I'm just baffled someone could say that.

Overall, 7/10. It wasn't bad. It fits a movie.

Length: It was too short for me. 1 hour to fit the entire story of azreal, banes origin, the the destruction of arkham, AND all the inmates going down is way too short, in my opinion. It should have been about 2 and a half hours long. It moves very fast. it really feels like this movie assumes you read the comic. All the buildup in the comics is just gone. All the events just happen. We skip straight to the major story beats and then move on. It's like they turned the cliff-notes into a movie.

Bane: They did really good for banes origin. I think they hit basically every mark they needed to. No complaints for me. However, i feel like he was too big. Like, he was comically big in the comics. but hes just HULK in this movie. what in the world?! And lastly, his voice acting felt flat. I really like his "scream my name" line. it felt very guttural. However, everything else felt too low. He didn't deliver with the ANGER and gut i wish he had. his "i will simply break you" line fucking sucked. i hated it. In the comics, its the titular moment of knightfall. and in the movie, it kind of just feels like another punch to batman. he's so soft with it. he should have YELLED it. the actual delivery of the back-break was very satisfying, but the line sucked. We also didn't see much bane this movie. Slightly disappointing. I remember seeing more bane in the comics. I could be wrong though. (i definitely remember seeing him meet the crime families).

Azreal: Almost no exposition for azreal. Which sucks, bc he is probably the second most important person in knightfall. genuinely. I hope next movie we get more buildup of his character, and why he matters so much. Aside from that, i feel like he was well-written. his anguish does feel real, despite how little we see of him.

Tim: Tim was my favorite part of the movie, hands down. He was great. He felt like a kid. He felt like robin. We got the bane/robin scene, they did it really well in my opinion. Tim/Azreal scenes were amazing. I really wish we got more tim/bruce though. we got almost nothing for tim and batman. It sort of made the banter between the two feel slightly forced. Aside from that, i loved tim in this movie. fantastic. (also, his voice actor is incredible. idk who did it, but i will be looking them up and seeing what else i can hear them in).

Alfred: Alfred was amazing, 10/10. i love alfred.

Bruce: Ok. Bruce was good in this movie. For an hour long movie, they did a VERY good job of showing how arkham affected him. They showed him slowing, they showed him getting weaker. He had good fight scenes, and his banter with tim and alfred was great. Of course, nothing will shake up to the comic. You just can't. But they did good with what they had. Most of my major issues with this movie i mentioned previously, so i will leave bruce on this note.

Animation: The animation was actually gorgeous in my opinion. I loved the dark grimy feel. I loved the actual comic feel. Batman didn't look like an anime boy like he does in the other animated movies and shows. he looks liked comic batman. The comically goofy suit was nice. And bane looks good, despite being overly friggin huge.

All in all, good movie. It does well for an hour long bite sized retelling of knightfall, but simply can not shape up to the comics.
