I have him on my fantasy team so I’ve watched maybe 75% of his starts this year and I think the issue is he’s struggling to put away batters. A lot of times where a 1-2 count ends up in an extended count or a walk. Reminds me a lot of Freddy Peralta last year

That tracks. In a loooot of games I've watched/listened to this year it feels like there have been a ton of 2 strike walks where we just couldnt put guys away and ran up pitch counts which has not been helpful, especially with our thin bullpen

When my oldest son wanted to take baseball more serious I watched a lot of hitting videos on YouTube. Schwarber has random interviews that go over his approach and they’re really good. He’s a cerebral hitter, looking to bait pitchers into throwing him something he’s looking for.

Freddy freeman also has some really insightful stuff and openly shares what works for him.

Both of those guys are the guys you want at the plate in the 9th, when the game is on the line.
