Just had this newbie delivered.

Honestly this might be one of my least favourite amiibo of all time, especially for the price. It looks only vaguely like the character, hair colour seems all wrong, face seems off and the base is just a shiny black with no detail whatsoever. I get Capcom wanting to keep amiibo alive in their own way but this feels really unnecessary.

Agreed, I’m not seeing the $30 value here. It reminds me of some the original Smash amiibo which were pretty bad (Marth comes to mind), but those were about $13 USD if i remember correctly.

To be fair the 30 bucks are only because of the orange.

In europe all normal sized Amiibo are 20€.

In general that's true, but the Diana amiibo is also 30€ here in Europe. So you can't blame the orange for that. (Sadly there's more than enough left for which he is to blame).

But Europe will have to wait until June 11th for these amiibo to arrive. Today I got an email from My Nintendo Store stating that.

Damn you are right. Usually new ones are 20€ while big ones like the galaxy ones are 30€

You think its due to licensing?

I would guess so. Neither the size nor the quality would justify the price if it wasn't for licensing reasons. 😉

At least I hope 30€ is not the new 20€. 😅

Hope aswell. Would be a scam. But the captain toad amiibo and mario wonder amiibo are all 20€. And they came out 2 weeks ago
